Star dog 2024

Fuck me I bet you had fun trimming that :joy:

I have the same trimming problem, I just push the plants to one side of the tent and squeeze in there and zip it up behind me. I stop watering them and use normal 5w room lights in there and they stop transpiring so they don’t turn into a wet mess while kind of smushed into a corner.

Now that I’ve got things in place I’ve had time to take stock, omg I’ve super selection of lost skunks

There’s one or more with a broader leaf and less defined double serrations, other/s with a narrower leaf and clear defined double serrations, other/s are a bit taller with sparce growth up the stem, other/s are shorter and pine tree shaped with lots lateral growth, some are further into flower than others, one looks dark in colour (blue-ish) it could just be feeding idk for sure atm time will tell.

Omg what a variety

Autopot:
I’ve been meaning to try a autopot set up like this?

I’ve put a couple of wicks out the bottom of the pot with a square of capillary matt in the bottom of the pot to help distribute nutrient better and stop coco from falling through.

Now when the the pot is sat inside another pot it’s held so the top pot isn’t actually standing in nutrient it’s only getting wicked up, worst case I can remove it but I’ll see what happens?

Today 9th April…
I potted a Northern lights and a Coco kush (#3 female) into one pot and the coastal blueberry into another and put them into the autopot.

#2 pot coastal blueberry I put 2.5" of perlite in the bottom and put coco over it, the standard or recommend way.

5 days ago i started at 430w when i swapped from HID then increased 50w yesterday, everything is looking ok today.
Canopy 32k lux in the centre (480w @2ft) away

*Edit…April 10th *

I let the trays fill then turned off the reservoir for 36hrs and repeated.
EDIT
14th April turned on the reservoir full time using 1.8ec of hydrocrop dry powder.

Hello folk’s, a few pics and some notes

April 12th…

I’m leaving the lower growth for now, I don’t want concentrated growth going up the way…not just now at least +
I think more foliage encourages more root formation.

Easy2grow tray…
Coco kush and Northern lights (right pot) and coastal blueberry in the left one.

6 days back they were 12/15" today they’re 15/18"± so I don’t think they’ve too long before settling into flower.

Sown 18/20th Feb vegged @24hrs until February 27/28th then flipped to 12-12 by March 30th all revealed sex.
April 1st changed timer to 11/13.
52 days total: 10 days veg, 32 days @12-12 and 10 days @11/13.

I cut this back to the lower 2 nodes between 2/3 weeks old, it’s only added 11/12 days onto the sexing time and not surprisingly it’s considerably smaller than the others.

I don’t really have the space to pot it up but I’ll let grow for now.

I’ve one plant catching my eye for the wrong reasons, gauging it from the others it’s slow to get into flowering mode.

It was identified as female with the others ± a few days but it not moving on?

In comparison to the others it’s way behind.

That aside everything is doing fine.
Next I need to clone each of them and clear out any remaining lower growth.

Yesterday I increased the power to 565w (80%)
A couple of days later I lowered the light 3/4" then again on the 17th April (47k lux) centre 12/13" from the tallest tol.

Take it easy folk’s

Nice light green lush. They seem fed right on point. As for the slow one, maybe it’s just the longest in flowering time so it seems slower? How much did they stretch in average?

Hey bud, thats certainly possible, id say they’ve about doubled in size ±
I don’t think there’s much left in them to stretch now, hopefully 🫣

Cheers

Thanks for the info. Yeah I guess given how they’re budding, the stretch should calm down now, hopefully you won’t be overgrown too much

Plants look great. That one that’s slower, just taking it’s time. You’ve got it all dialed in, so let’s see what happens. Awesome show!

I think they’ve stopped stretching now.

It’s looking like they’ve topped out between 15"/20" I’m pleased with how the size/height worked out.

Yesterday i made a start on cloning them (x2 each) and removing any remaining lower growth.

I only got 3 done before the light went off

Apil 16th…
I picked where I left off and cut x2 clones from each plant and removed any remaining lower growth.

I’ve still got the coastal blueberry to clone!

That could prove challenging as there’s no any nodes/branches but I’ll give it my best🤔

That’s it all done now.

Take it easy folk’s

Hey bud, thank you’ the coastal blueberry is bred by our own @SHSC-1 I don’t think it’s related to Dj,s blueberry.

Here in BC the older blueberry lines were around before DJ was widely known here in BC. Now I started growing in 89 and blueberry was not around. In fact good weed was hard to come by and was around 350 an ounce at the time (late 80’s early 90’s). I grew up in North Delta , a large suburban area about 40 minutes from Vancouver BC. I became a hash dealer in what was called “whalley world” which was an area that you could always go and buy hash, oil caps and LSD. Anyways blueberry showed up in my life in about 94/95 as a clone only that the hells angels affilliates were growing in commercial weight. I came to know about DJ short in 1998 when his Delta 9 Collection debuted beside Spice of Life’s debut at the Marc Emery seed bank storefront in Vancouver. I bought seeds back then but nothing came out of them that was like the strong blueberry we already had in clone form.
At the time I got the blueberry clone , it came with NL5 and a clone that was just called Hashplant. I believe that the Mission BC crew outcrossed the hashplant with something… then bred it back to the biker blueberry creating what we know here as the Fraser Valley Blueberry Hashplant. So it’s common to hear those who know about the FVBHp to say it’s “pre DJ blueberry”. Then there is the Dr Atomic Blueberry Northern Lights… what blueberry he started with escapes me at the moment… I should know that but will have to back and do some searching thru my notes LOL It was a highly regarded line from dr atomic though and his NL work is legendary as far as I’m concerned.
My friend Rykus/Coastal from the Sunshine Coast BC made the initial cross of the FVBHp clone and his own selected males of the dr atomic bbNL. He gave me a hefty sack to hunt thru and a couple or so years later , satisfied with the offspring of the current generation… I released them as Coastal Bluberry.
Sorry for the ramble… I tend to do that LOL but is the complete story as far as I can connect it.

I went back to find something to clone from the coastal blueberry.

Pickings were slim but I’ve few small shoots here i can work with.

Another job done :white_check_mark:

please ramble, lol I could listen to this awesomeness all day . I m a huge BB nut and I smoked djs BB in Umass dorms and that was the beginning of the end for me. What great smoke , I was friends with this kid who attended umass and grew some fantastic shit. I was still getting 300 an ounce out here till it became legal in Mass , must be close to 8 yrs by now. I m lucky to get 125 out here because theres 3 dispenssary s in my town . People still get screwed by the taxes . It s just a joke now .

I enjoyed that, ramble anytime :seedling:

I still get 200 for a zip down here in TN, high demand and prohibition is keeping everyone afloat for now. Once legalization hits it’ll be game over for a lot of folks.

Yeah ,It s complete bs what my state did … They made a fortune now theres more dispensary s and they almost give the shit away to compete with each other .They cut corners and people just found out one of them was spraying buds with pesticides to kill spider mites. lol What a joke. I miss the money but it s always been about helping people who have cancer and other ailments .
