Well Im kinda new to the entire breeding aspect. Ive been reading my ass off thou. Seriously Ive already ordered and read 3 books this month on breeding.
Im just curious what to do if I find a mutant.
Does creating S1’s allow the mutant genetic to come thru with a simple self, or is the mutant gene a recessive gene ?
In the case its recessive, is it a matter of cloning a mutant and then crossing the mother with the clone ? Or is it better to find 2 mutants and then cross those two together so you have a mutant gene pair ?
Like I said Ive only been studying for a few weeks, but I would love to help in your hunt. I have plenty of outdoor and indoor space to work with.

Freekshow is a really sweet looking mutant pheno. Ive had my eye on it for a very long time. It never seems to be in stock thou.

Yes an s1 would help lock in those recessive traits. Although if we can run a large number we can probably do better.
Freakshow and abc are different traits, although in the F2 gen there’s a possibility plants expressing both traits will arise. If they do, and we have enough of them they get inbred further and the progeny should express both traits.
Doing this in multiple ‘parallel lines’ with sub1 Freakshow, site4 Freakshow, site3 berryfreak, we’ll be able to merge the lines together in a selected preferably fem reversed hybrid with plenty of variation and vigour.
Something like
(Subterfuge 1 X Freakshow F3) X ((abc site4 X freakshow F3) X (ABC site 3 X Berry freak F3)) as a selected Fem hybrid, so the quality of the plants is improved through selection of the best reversed females.

I was just thinking we may be able to do some of this project rather quickly (at least the freakshow work)
And PLEASE correct me if Im wrong here, but I would think that the leaf structure should be noticeable by week 3 or 4…I think.
At least then we will know what we should continue to grow of that line. If no mutant phenos are seen by the 3rd or 4th set of true leafs you could rule that one out.
Then STS or Colloidal S. Could be used to reverse or maybe you can then quickly place it into 12/12 if its a male and collect the pollen and ship to others. Same with the mutant S1s
Im not familiar with the other strain Ill have to look it up.
Found some more info on Freakshow. Im not sure thr lineage being used in this project, but this is what I can find on it:
90% Sativa 10% Indica
Flowering Time: 65 days
Freakshow is holy banana (big sur holy x Chiquita banana) x pineapple express. The holy banana was the first to show a leaf mutation, then he worked that for multiple generations.
Holy banana was recently released, but I missed out on buying a pack. Freakshow was developed by shapeshifter, he and his son had a falling out and his son is releasing previously unreleased genetics like that.
So your talking about using cs for a project like this which doesn’t make alot of sense when we are talking about running large numbers for the ones that are showing mutation at f1 (which this shouldn’t show, being 2 different mutations). Then breeding those plants to create multiple stable lines. Using CS you’d only have females. Kinda defeating the point.

We could deffinetly make fems at the end. But I would love to have a finished reg line before we do fems and just do the fems as a bonus not as part of a step.
Same thinking here. Do a special release of fems at the end for Sebring to distribute or something as a celebration.
I could see making the fems and then making a bunch of those clay seed balls with them and then throwing them everywhere.
