The only thing I noticed with the washing stuff was that it didn’t really work haha. There were still dead aphids all over the flowers, even though I’d submerged branches in the first bucket with a plate to hold them under the water for like ten minutes per, then rinsed them in the second bucket and then a third.

I was very thorough, but it didn’t seem to matter. There were fewer aphids, definitely saw a lot floating around in the top of the first bucket I used, but there were still a bunch on the nugs even after hanging the branches post-washing, drying, trimming and jarring.

I smoked the weed anyway. It was good! haha.

Yea, I seem to remember the images in the past sitting between 250-400 kb. Here’s a few from earlier in the thread

I’m not counting chickens before they hatch or anything, but I’m more thinking along the lines of “who can I give this away to without having to trim it”. I produce more than I need indoors as is. I’ll probably want to try some of the outdoor stuff just to see if it hits me differently.

yeah, I just mean that I name them using the plant as an identifier so I can just quickly select all of them and drag them onto the forum post to line up with the label here. Usually involves uploading 3-5 pictures at a time that way.

I feel completely incompetent when navigating macOS. I’ve always stuck to Windows / Linux as computer operating systems and Android / GrapheneOS for mobile.

If anything I’ll just join them in the memeing. That old saying about when someone is about to fall it’s best to give them a push or whatever it is… Accelerate the demise of the thread. Imagine how glorious it would be if everyone who participated there only posted memes or other peoples content.

Yeah, I was just talking to someone the other day who was hoping our Rec market would be as good as Michigan’s. I commented that our state probably has one of the worst models in the country for Rec, but at least it’s counter-balanced by having a very reasonable homegrow and sharing policy. I believe we’re permitted to gift something like 1-2 ounces to friends and family.

Heh, here in Illinois I technically have to keep 100% of it and it’s proceeds locked in a windowless room away from my wife :joy: no outdoor grows at all unless maybe if it’s in a frosted greenhouse  no one can see it, basically.

Yeah that’s insane… I’d still have been happy with that over nothing though. I’m very thankful we got as nice of a home-grow setup as we did. Has to be behind a locked fence and not visible from the public but that’s kind of reasonable compared to prohibition.

Here’s some shots from tonight. I think we’re around Day 37 on the indoor stuff.

Had to get on top of a ladder and hold my phone camera as high as possible to get this shot of the triple sunshine.

Haha, yeah, I get that. Although,

that’d be interesting (to me, anyway). I’ve always read that weed grown outdoors smokes differently than the same cultivar grown indoors. Something about the “full spectrum light whatever whatever.” It makes sense, definitely curious to hear if you notice any kind of differences.

Just wash a branch for yourself and tell somebody that they can have a free pound or two if they’re willing to trim it all haha. Who’s gonna turn that down?

If I knew what emoji meant,”My eyes have glazed over,” I’d post it now haha.

Gawd, I have got to get over to that thread and check out what’s happening haha. The plan for today was to blaze some of that #1 Mountain Temple, write the smoke report and then check out the Bodhi thing, but instead I just did a couple bong rips, picked up a Philly cheese steak and then took like a three hour nap haha. I really am very curious as to what’s going on on that thread, you’ve piqued my interest for sure haha.

I understand the rationale, but that still seems kind of restrictive. What if people don’t have a yard big enough to keep the plants from public view?

Plants look good! Haha. They do, though, love those outdoor shots. Getting up on a ladder to take a pic… haha.

Very nice, the tk lineage seems to be throwing down…

How do the smells compare across the board with the tk cut?

:peace_symbol:

Everything in the tent smells fairly similar for the most part. One of the 5150 TK x TKs has a pretty strong orange / mango / coin smell that is different from the rest and nice. It’s a smell most, if not all of us who have grown for a while have smelled before. The TK S1 #2 has a kind of adhesive or sharpie component to it right now whereas the TK x TS has some sweet notes to it, but both are pretty similar to the TK. The Triple Sunshine is probably the strongest smelling in the tent and has a much stronger rubber presence to it.

I’m not happy with the root-bound soil plants, but that may just be because of how they are grown. Still not sure I’ll give them another chance because of space.

5150 #1 , TK S1 #2, and TK x Triple Sunshine are standing out to me the most out of the seed plants currently. It can all change in a few weeks of course.

It’s really not interesting, not trying to build it up. Wouldn’t hurt to have you back in the thread though!

Oh, I’m sure it’s not interesting, but it’s probably amusing in a morbid sorta way haha…

Nice pictures! Are the ones with the black background using stage light on iPhone portrait mode? Never thought to do that till now but a test shot I just did turned out pretty good!
My recent grow of 5150 Tk x Chem 91 from csi really knocks me out lol, good stuff, but not great daytime weed

I’m listening to episode 105 of the cannabis cultivation podcast w tad hussey and his guest is talking about leafhoppers and how big of a problem they are for this reason, but pretty much only on the west coast. She mentioned beet curly top virus being the main thing spread by them out west, and it not being an issue on the east coast typically

Thanks!

No, I don’t own an iphone and my phone camera takes pretty lousy pictures haha. It’s achieved by underexposing the whole image through a combination of Shutter Speed, ISO & Aperture and then lighting the flower with a flash. Ideally no light spills onto the background if a black background is your goal.

Interesting. I’ll have to check that one out sometime, thanks!

The Chem91 that I sampled from earlier this year definitely felt more night time than the TK to me - wonder if that’s shining through in the cross. I have been taking anywhere from 4-6 bong hits of TK per night lately and it’s been enjoyable, but wouldn’t call it night time weed. More anytime weed if anything for me.

Saw a bug outside up side down stuck on some leaf trichomes of the TK

TK outdoor daytime shots with flash/diffuser

TK dried and cured bud shots

Been smoking TK exclusively lately. Accidentally gave my friend all my TS when I was throwing out old bud. Will have some more TS in a few weeks / month at least and I have more than enough TK to hold me over until then. I’m not good at isolating smells or flavors but the TK in a bong is extremely smooth and almost has a citrus / pine component to it. Not really getting any fuel or gas in the bong.

The more I consume it on a regular basis the more mentally calming and relaxing it’s becoming for me. Still has the clarity of thoughts and focus boost effect. Not relaxing in an “indica” way, more just a strong feeling of tranquility and bliss. Feels a lot like how the TS hits me from memory but will do more comparisons when the time comes.

A couple decades ago there was some “G13” floating around that had a very forest like pine and citrus flavor to it. I’ve been searching for that stuff ever since and now I’m wondering if it was some kind of Triangle Kush. For the time period, an OG would make way more sense than G13.

I almost popped TS x SSDD seeds last night but I started Good Karma Hashplant instead. It was basically a coin toss. But that TS x SSDD is probably going to be next. I’ve been eyeing them lately.

That’s cool, I found some Redeye Jedi buds (skywalker x 88) when looking for a TS bag today and got nostalgic. Looking forward to hearing what you find in that one. Sometimes the 88 crosses can really surprise you with some spectacular plants it seems.

I’d recommend watching @DirtySlowToes thread if you’re interested in the TS x SSDD chucks - He’s going through a few of them and has at least harvested one so far. Interested to read his review when he’s had enough time with it - good or bad.

I’m useless on that one though, haven’t tried it yet haha. Soon… Too many seeds too little space.

I’m running a pack of CC and S1 like you, also on day 40±
I must say from the pics yours look stunning !
Mine are under 600w hps bulking up like crazy
And when I read your comment on the smell I couldn’t help it haha because mine smell exactly like citrus pine ! Just like you described.
1 Crazy Crocs pheno in particular, just a heavenly smell.
I’m lurking to see your results and comparing them at the end to mine.

Awesome, will be fun to compare end results assuming I can keep mine happy to the end! I gotta say, there’s something about that humming sound of an HPS setup that is nice for me to be around. Also the glow and way the light changes and ramps up when it turns on was really cool to be around for me. Lots of good memories. Other than the radiant heat I kind of miss it haha.

My two favorites right now from CSI are the 5150 x TK #1 and the TK S1 #2 . The TK S1 #2 looks very similar to the TK farmer joe cut right now. Looks very promising!

Was gonna say the same thing myself. Just from the pics, they look very close. The S1 #2 even looks a little more “frosty” than the TK, but that just could be the photos.

Nice mushrooms pics! Do you ever do any foraging?

No, I don’t have the courage or skillset to identify mushrooms in the wild. I have toyed with the idea for a while now about growing some edible mushrooms. Not sure I have it in me to set up a sterile environment though. I think I was considering the Enoki mushrooms listed @ sporeworks via liquid culture.

How about you, any foraging or edible mushroom cultivation funtime?

Yeah, I think it’s just the pictures. In person the TK is glistening with trichomes and probably #2 in terms of frost right now. The S1 #2 looks pretty close though. The buds are a bit larger on the TK FJ too - but then again so is the whole plant so it may be an unfair comparison.

Saw confirmation from LJ that the compression and resizing is only temporary so hopefully it will be easier to tell in the near future!

It’s pretty easy to do, I would recommend giving it a go, it’s just fun to watch the process and then eat them. I’ve grown Oysters and Lion’s Mane. You could start the easy way, and buy an already inoculated spawn bag, or you can buy pre-sterilized spawn, and then buy some liquid culture and noc up your own bags. You don’t have to be super sterile with those methods, but if you want to go further than that, you’d need at minimum a still air box.

I’ve not foraged since I’ve been out west, but used to go out looking from time to time back in the foothills of the Appalachia mountains. I’m not super confident in my identification abilities either, I always had a guide, but can usually recognize the common ones… Oysters, chanterelles, Turkey Tail, Lion’s Mane, Chicken of the Woods, King Bolete, etc. The best I’ve ever found a nice patch of chanterelles… I cooked them up with a bit of butter, garlic, and dash of salt, and they came out delicious, some of the best ones I’ve tried yet. I like grabbing some from the Asian mart too, they sometimes have Enoki.

That’s super good news!
