Getting my Week 7 - Day 49 pictures out of the way tonight since I won’t have time to do it tomorrow.

Some thoughts

TK x TS appears to have the largest buds and smells very strong both indoors and outdoors. Reminds me in many ways of the TS F2 that I just grew.

TK has the next largest flowers. Great calyx to leaf ratio this go around and much better than the outdoor TK plants. The TK is performing the best out of everything outdoors but is much leafier than it is inside.

TK 5150 #3 looks like a worse version of TK x TS but has a putrid essence to it. Most non-cannabis growers wouldn’t like the smell but I do. This appears to be the leafiest plant of the bunch with the least promising flowers (physical judgement obviously).

Triple Sunshine is still the frostiest in the tent. The plants look pretty healthy but I still feel like it doesn’t look as good as it usually does for me. Not sure what the variable is, may just be the lower light levels.

TK S1 #3 and 5150 #2 look pathetic (my fault) so can’t really judge those 2.

TK S1 #2 seems worth growing again - interested to see how the smoke compares.

TK 5150 # 1 looks promising too but not as nice as TK , TS , TK x TS, or TK S1. I also have a soil test flowering in addition to the coco test.

@syzygy
Wow, thankyou for the photography class. :100:
Good info. :eyes:

That last one, the Triangle Kush S1 # 2 (by CSI) looks really nice from here. But a lot of them look great too, really. Thanks for sharing.

So… Did you beat up a blind guy and rob his cane for a garden stake?

I think I garbage picked those when a neighbor was throwing them out a few years ago. It’s one of those fiberglass markers used in snow to know where a driveway or walkway is. Sometimes they have reflectors on top. They’re stronger than bamboo, cleaner, last longer, and 3-4’ tall.

That said I’ll probably get some bamboo in a few days too because I have a couple plants that still haven’t been supported.

Wondering what the coco growers here do (if anything) towards the end of flower. Feed until harvest? Half strength last few weeks? Water only?

I’m leaning towards full strength until day 60-65 and then shifting to half strength feed, but am open to changing my mind. This would be with a harvest date of 77~ on the TK. Not sure when I want to take the TS - will probably start checking trichs starting next week.

Looking great as usual, but those doggies are adorable :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Thank you.

If I can, I taper the feed a bit once drinking slows down. No less than half strength nutes. If I really feel fancy I might do water only through the top of the pot for the last 24 hrs but that’s it. I’ve fed full strength until chop with absolutely no issues, no harshness, etc. but that’s what I like to do if I can. I haven’t found starving them sooner to be of any help, they just drop leaves that much faster.

After trying every flushing/end of life technique I’ve seen, and not seeing any difference in the end product, I just feed regular bloom grub until the end. Upped my status in the Slacker’s Club too

I’ve done all ways… feed full strength until harvest, 1/2 strength until harvest, and water only for the last couple of days, to last the couple of weeks. I know it’s controversial… the whole flushing thing… but I do lean towards doing it most of the time. If anything, you save a little coin on nutes… I do wonder why most fertilizer manufacturers recommend some kind of flush at the end of the cycle? Is it so they can sell more “flushing” products? I don’t know… I have never used any of those, just water only for the flush here…

I think that’s a good plan. I don’t think you’ll lose anything by day 65 or so, the buds have mostly swelled at that point, and with TK it seems like you’re mostly just waiting for the trichs… don’t make me post Holy’s meme… haha! You could always experiment with some of the other plants you have in coco, flush some and not others and see what happens (though i know that there could be some difference in the smoke, because of the differences in cultivars).

lol, i’m a member of that club, but i figured water only was the laziest option, haha!

Have you ever tried taking the TK to 84 days? I think nspecta said that he never takes TK before 84, but I could be thinking of someone else…

That’s definitely what he says, Ive not ever taken her that long either yet. Never before 75 days if I can help it.

OK, thanks guys. Sounds like it’s not a big deal whatever I choose to do.

I have a few TK & TS in there :upside_down_face: I can either experiment on flush or havest date (assuming I can keep them healthy that long).

Jacks recommends straight water for the last week in their feeding schedule. Not using the high P/K “bloom” nutrient line and I’m not going to try to leech / flush the medium, but watering with clear water to keep them hydrated seems to make sense.

I’ll probably take that approach with the Triple Sunshine because it will finish earlier than the TK.

That seems to make sense too.

No, I’ve only grown it a few times now and usually the leaves start to look awful on my soil plants pretty early, which forces my hand to harvest. If I can keep them healthy enough in coco then I’ll try to push a plant to week 12. Others in this thread have far more experience than I do with her… Also I’ve run the Triple Sunshine a lot more than the TK, at various harvest windows, and I still don’t have a feel for the ideal harvest date on that one either. I’m thinking around day 63-65 but who knows… I’m a horrible person to ask on this stuff, sorry I can’t be more help.

I will say I’m loving how the plants look at this stage considering they are only in 1/4 Gal pots. I intend to switch permanently to coco after this run, unless the smoke is garbage (doubtful).

Hard to demonstrate how good this TK x Triple Sunshine looks. Large flowers - great smell, frost levels, and calyx to leaf ratios.

Triple Sunshine mom still frostiest in the tent and always the one that catches my eye…

Looks like she is snapping out of it for a strong finish after the mutiny all the way thru veg.

These pictures are doing justice. :yum:

Yeah. That looks crazy. :smiling_face_with_tear: Very nice.

Thanks! It’s looking real promising in person but still there’s just something about the mom that stands out to me over everything else. I really like the frosty, smaller, and more narrow look on her.

Trip Sun tonight

TK - mild fan leaf issues - not worried about it

Will get the rest of the plants when I take my week 8 pictures on Tues night / Wednesday.

Week 8 (day 56) update

Triangle Kush

Triple Sunshine (TK x SSDD)

Triangle Kush x Triple Sunshine (TK x SSDD)

5150 TK x TK #1

5150 TK x TK #2

5150 TK x TK #3

TK S1 #3

TK S1 #2

From the CSI stuff the TK S1 #2 still looks most promising to me.

Triple Sunshine has the frostiest flowers out of everything.

TK and TK x TS have the largest flowers

TK S1 #2 is the shortest plant of all with the tightest internode spacing.

TK S1 #2 , TK , 5150 TK x TK #1, TK x TS and TS all have really nice calyx to leaf ratios. Everything in the tent seems acceptable to me though.

I agree, this the TK and TS are
