Tell me what you know about Life

They arent here to talk to us. I think they are here to mine some element we dont know we need, and observe their creation. I think its pretty clear we were created by something. We are simply self replicating organic robots. Probrably created to mine technology for some civilization that would rather use their time for something else.

“They” are a great number of different conscious beings and perhaps one of those many many groups have genetically altered monkeys to work in gold mines because they needed gold dust to suspend in their orbit in an attempt to cool their dying planet. I’ve read a story like that.

All of Star Trek and Star Wars is perfectly possible and could be galactic history remembered by the directors.

If you can imagine it, then at some point in the future it will be possible.
Nicola Tesla predicted the smartphone like a hundred years ago.
And the book 1984 predicted the whole covid circus.

This is a misquote…Buddha said that life CAN be long and at times there are trials. Life is not suffering, if there is suffering, it is endurance that sees us through.

Further, it can be interpreted that this was a sacrastic comment about those that are not good, or don’t seek the path to enlightenment.

Desire is suffering

Attachment causes suffering and through Zazen the ego melts and then become one with the universe like it’s always been

Through sitting you quit the ego chasing or more appropriately running away. You become brave strong courageous to face the inevitable DEATH and jump into the abyss

Many people get stuck on the first of the 4 Noble Truths.
“Life is suffering, so, fuck it all”
Its the genesis of nihilism that Im seeing permeate our contemporaries.

But there are 3 other Noble Truths:
The causes of our suffering
And maybe most importantly - That Happiness Exists.

Luckily, the mushrooms got me into Buddhism before I had my brain injury.
So, while I lost ALL memory, couldn’t recognize myself in the mirror, had constant visual disturbances, and constant pain - for over a year - I didnt give up because of two tennants I had recently learned:
Impermanence and Cyclic Existence.
That, yes, this fucking sucks, but it wont last forever - that what everyone told me about the brain not being able to heal itself isnt true.
And that while Im at the lowest point in my life, the cycle will shift and I will rise again…and fall again…and rise again.

During this journey with a severe TBI, I met a 1st Sgt. who got blown up 7 times and another guy who was a POW. Those were the only two whom I could connect with with what I was going through.

When I saw this video I realized how little I know about life
And I mean that for real

ET won’t make contact, as they do not want us to become them. They were/are us and are trying to backward engineer their DNA to the good old days, by sampling and observation, for now…so we know it wasn’t micro-plastics…

@Budderton

I thought it was important to update this. It is in fact a complete misquote…Buddha said life will be filled with pleasures, (not struggles). :grinning:

Further, I think it is possible, that the translation of the word pleasure; into a modern language, could have been mis-interpreted as struggle. The word struggle, being indecise.

Edit: " Ahh, is this Buddhist humor?"

Right on @Kabuddha . I’m just a hopeful agnostic so my Buddhism doctrine might not be the most accurate.:peace_symbol:

There’s reasons the one that’s willing to kick down deep discounts has a surplus of inventory.
