Tents full of happiness and love ft. Bodhi and friends

Looks like some nice, fat buds there.

Take the good with the bad, right? Could be a super nice high and make up for the lack of smells.

Thank you! Yeah, let’s hope the high is OK and makes up for it. The yield will be good on this one at least!

Dank Sinatra F2 - Early Thoughts

Smells - hashy, old leather, pine-y, reminds me of old people… lol, moth balls? Not super loud, kind of muted smells, really comes out when you grind the bud though. Still curing though, this could change.

Bud Structure / Bag Appeal - Dense trich heavy buds. Hard to grind they are so dense. Typical '88hp resin that seems hard and brittle. Good bag appeal. Pheno 1 was good yield for container size, Pheno 2 was low yield, terps slightly more pronounced.

Effects - heavy bring you down chill out bud. Not knockout heavy, but definitely stoney. Good for night time, not much cerebral stuff going on.

The cure will probably just enhance the effects and terps little more. I’ve gotta convince a few more people to try to give a more rounded perspective…

that’s a nice looking bud.

I was gonna say, I’m convinced, I’ll try it

Some buds can effect different people in many different ways. Our body chemistry is weird sometimes.

I’ll send the drones out with samples now…

Sounds like Dank Sinatra. There’s a bunch of phenos in those F2 and they cover a large spectrum from good to whoa. Were both phenos the same effect for you or was the shorty different?

I had a pheno that made my heart pound it was so potent. SHOE told me this about his DS keeper:

My keeper of Dank Sinatra is a short stocky plant that reeks of skunk/fuel/burnt rubber/hashish

That 88 G13 HP dad has lots of flavors in store in the Dank Sinatra cross. My favorite plants need to be pushed to 70 days of flowering and they become super duper potent. People felt like they were tripping after a bong hit.

The shorter stockier pheno seems a tad more potent, but the effect is similar. Instant relaxation, heavy behind the eyes kinda feeling… my shoulders feel lighter. Time seems to move a little slower.

I mainly vape through a Volcano for most of my testing purposes. Every now and then I’ll break out the bowl or bong. I’ve found that the effects are distinctly different based on how I consume, for almost every cultivar. Vaping seems to let me experience the high over a more prolonged time and not make my neurotransmitters shoot in to hyperdrive and then crash back to earth, so it’ my preferred method. But there is something about just roasting a bowl or snapping a bong hit that is satisfying sometimes. It does seem you can get the full effect from the herb, that I sometimes can’t get through vaping.

Anyways, that was a long way of saying, I’ll have to try the smoke through other methods

I may try to press some into rosin too, just to see how she squishes…

Also, sounds like SHOE needs to let us try his keeper!

Couldn’t have said it better. I mostly use a volcano, but if I am having a really bad time/day, I will smoke a strain in the volcano, then follow it up with a bong hit of the same strain and it instantly changes the high. It makes it much muddier, more organic, and a bit more intense. It’s quite helpful during an insomnia spell (though it makes waking up with a weed hangover way more likely ime) or during an acute case of panic.

Though, sometimes it’s the opposite. Last night I smoked bowl after bowl of OG Kush from the bong to try and relax for the evening, to no effect, then took a gram spread over a couple high temp turkey bags in the volcano and felt like I was going to melt into the bed.

It’s super weird. Using them both together seems to produce a really good, full spectrum effect.

Agree with everything you said. I try not to smoke as much just for health reasons, but sometimes you just gotta burn!

Sunny D Christmas Eve update! Hope everyone has some time to catch up with friends and loved ones over the holidays! Share some bud with some buds

SSDD filled the screen no problem. Maybe a little over filled in some spots. Still trying to eliminate any lower buds that aren’t getting much light. Still plucking leaves as I see fit. I try to not go over board with the defoliation, but sometimes I feel I’m not aggressive enough. Today is day 13 of flowering, this cultivar sets buds pretty fast, so I should have a little more time to trim any lowers before they start building. Feeding them about 1 to 1.5 gallon daily.

That’s a beautiful canopy you’ve got going! Excited to see what happens in the next couple weeks  so glad I stumbled across this thread when I did, gorgeous examples of some of my favorite strains!

Thanks friend, and welcome! SSDD finishes pretty quick, so hopefully we’ll see some bud action soon!

4x4 Tent Update

Day 60 flowering

Things are getting close to done. The BT’s could probably have gone at day 53 or 55, going to let them run until 65 as I like 'em more done.

Black Triangle 5

Trying to decide between the two phenos of BT I have left, one has slight better structure and stacking, while the other has slightly better terps… :face_with_monocle:

Atonic x Apollo 13 F4’s - wide range of phenotypes, smoke is gonna be interesting.

Goji OG Pheno 4 x Black Triangle - worried about the buds getting too big on this one and not enough airflow… keeping an eye on her.

Purple Wookie V2 - smells seem to have peaked, think she is the loudest thing in the tent. She’s close, maybe take her 70-75 days.

And finally OG Ghost Train Haze #1 - lots of buds all over like this  SCROG screen did its job, probably gonna yield the most outta anything in the tent. Very unique terps, lemon/lime and floor cleaner? She’s gonna go to day 75 too.

Man those are beautiful!

It’s such a horrible though to have, but I learned that lesson myself before I got to harvest :weary: Bigger isn’t better

Those ladies are just incredible

Yeah, that’s a tough one to learn, I still struggle with airflow sometimes. I’ve only gotten mold once, the SSDD is kind of susceptible to botrytis, lost some of the buds once and was bummed. Gotta keep that air moving around in the tent for sure! Sorry to hear about your losses… that always sucks, but good lesson to learn. Thanks for your kind words
