TGA and Subcools The Dank genetics 🧬 ... alive in 2021

curious to see the results of the qrazy train. a while back i made a (sour diesel x qrazy train). it turned out alright but it was a hit or miss. the qrazy train F2s were no good, i don’t think i even have them anymore.

Hey @anonymouse4289,

I am curious as well. Most of the females I grew from QT have been vigorous. Half of the seeds (15) I popped were male. The two phenos currently later in flowering do not resemble each other at all. Also, multiple members on another page described their versions of QT and had a variety of phenos.

I believe I have 2 packs left of the Qrazy train. Hopefully I find a fun keeper pheno. I also know of two other breeders still running QT. May try their offerings after my runs as well.

Thanks for joining in. Sour D x QT sounds fun. Thanks for sharing your experience with your cross. Stay tuned for the bud porn, I will share when they are finishing up in flower. :eye::eye:

Hope you are having a dank day.

I have shared a photo of my reveg Jack The ripper and now I share the other plant from this generation that made the reveg, Sweet tea.

Origin stories…

Germinated these seeds last year. Many were not labeled and they got mixed up in the group. Some went through harvest without being cloned. I was able to save two labeled plants and have a few unlabeled ones floating around to determine genetics. The list of what the unlabeled plants can be is not long but, verifying may be impossible now without Subcool.

—————-.————.—
Last year, in between this generation, I also attempted to germinate some Conspiracy Kush as well as some Purgatory seeds. I lost them to gnat larvae. It is not fun losing seeds to those worms.

This is a little cross over thread to keep track of the seeds I have sprouted for TGA and other gear. It will help me record what was sprouted, and may even help if I leave any unlabeled again. :crossed_fingers: Hoping I don’t.

————-.—————.—

Toward the end of the year, I germinated some C99, scarlet queen, and, Qrazy train. This is the current generation flowering.

Hey @Budafly,

Thanks. Hope all is well. :v:

Hey @stONER775,

Multiple of my TGA strains have naners. It is a pain to manage them in flower to avoid pollinating but, if they smoke good I end up keeping them around.

Not sure how this one will smoke but, I was tempted to chop it and try growing its clone. I have more seeds so saving all phenos isn’t necessary. There was some heat in that corner of the room that I fixed last night, the heat may have stressed the plant. I’ll give this pheno another go.

A little surprise in the sprouting area.

This is a picture of the only grape lime Ricky that sprouted. It looked white, would have been interesting to see it grow out. Sadly, it didn’t make it past sprouting.

Today, this guy or gal came out from the rapid rooter after only about… 3+ weeks later. I believe this is a Joshua Tree sprout. 1 of 2 seeds. Fingers crossed it makes it to veg. :crossed_fingers:

The failed sprout to the left is from in-house genetics, (JC4XGoliath) 1 of 2 made it.

I have had this experience before with some of Subs gear, the conspiracy Kush plant and purgatory plant I have left came from seeds that I thought were duds and were left to sit in the cloner. They sprouted much later after I forgot them. You live and you learn. :man_shrugging:t2:

I used to remove the seeds and disposed of them if no action in about two weeks. Now, unless they mold or get attacked by pests. I’ll let them sit and reuse the rooter by planting to the side of the center.

Let’s celebrate the ones that made it. A single Joshua tree sprout emerges after almost a month of germinating. Boy or girl, I am excited!

Other ones that made it. Jack the Ripper from the first generation coming back and ready to clone.

Threw another plant into flower, it is not labeled but it is from seed. Might be TGA, or a C99 pheno, or… a relocated local breeder grow. Only time will tell.

Lastly, this Purgatory was the runt from the first generation and I thought it was a male. Turns out, she’s a girl. Both it and the conspiracy Kush stayed under 12” for months after training.

I will be a haring some Scarlet Queen updates tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a Dank day!

Today we check on our first generation Vortex clone. She is chunking up and coming toward the end of 7 weeks flowering. A slow starter and not a big producer but, I may get lucky with a vortex male or another good stud from TGA seeds and breed her just to keep the gene pool accessible.

Working on getting some new TGA beans in for this year. :metal:

My last 5 pack of Sweet tea is going down tonight. The pheno I grew was not stable but, the smell was orangey. I may not breed this line but, I hope to find a keeper Orange tasting pheno. Something to remind me of Agent orange. My current pheno tastes like L’orange from Cannabiotix Las Vegas.

@Irie_islander you got photos of your Vortex by Subcool ? I’ve got some Vortex F2 by Subcool that had been gifted to me a few years back.

I’d like to know what your experience growing it has been so far.

I’ll collaborate with you on this.

I’ve got seeds of;

Vortex F2 Regs By Subcool

Strawberry Regs from heavyweight seeds X Vortex F2

Blueberry Regs from dutch passion D.J. Short X Vortex F2 (This the one d.j. short was working on with dutch passion before they split ways.)

@Irie_islander do you have any male or female pollen of Vortex? Or can you make Feminized pollen with a clone of your Vortex??

When I grow my Vortex F2 I’ll be lookin to make seeds with either help from others via male/Female pollen of Vortex by Subcool in order to ensure the line continues.

We can work together and both benefit in the form of Pollen & seeds of mine & your plants. If you want.

I’ve done 2 collaborations before Kosher Daddy & Posion Daddy strains … both people involved in the end had their own seeds of the finished product, then did whatever they wanted after that

Hey KushKabob,

Welcome and thank you. Nice score! Please feel free to share any Querkle photos here. Hoping you find some magic in those beans!

Hey Cadman,

The photo is in that post with the “Vortex” in bold. So far my pheno puts on the weight late in flower, does not get too dense or large, and, has a very citrus sweet scent. Smoke is not my fave but, it is a sativa dominant high pretty much. I can give you a refreshed report of the effects once I cut down the current plant in flower.

Sure, assuming I get a male out of my 5 Vortex seeds, I am open to sharing pollen. Not sure if I will self it yet. If I don’t get a male, I do see some other people on here and other sites that may also have pollen for Vortex. Worst case, I could also approach some of the breeders. Keeping the faith that I will get a Vortex male or pollen.

Hey Nex,

Just noticed your posts on RIU, while going through the seed collector’s thread. Glad to see you on both sites.

Sorry for the delay in response Irie, I don’t really visit here much as the few I did talk to on here have gone MIA.
I had a few variations of Jesus OG that I narrowed down to the one most lemony and undertones of og smells. Also chose the one that was finished after week 8. After week 9 the high changed drastically and was extremely couchlock. Not my cup of tea.

Never kept my mother cause I just cloned her from year to year. After over 5 years of cultivating her, I wanted to move on so I actually am just running a seed of her for the off season. I had some crazy ass years with her and definitely stressed her out in various different ways. In the first few generations I think the herm issues were concern but nothing happened. Then after clone to clone it seemed like the genetics strengthened and I rarely ever got any bananas. It also seemed to acclimate better to my outdoor reason and was pushing out some of the stickiest sticky after a few years. She also seemed to prefer the cold, but still performed in the heat. Sorry for the rant, I just hit some fresh papaya rosin off the press. It’s an amazing squisher LOL.
