The Budafly tent

Tested the soil pH the other day and it’s to alkaline was reading 8+, think it’s from to much calcium, I checked the dry amendments I added and there’s alot of calcium in 3 of them (the crab meal, bone meal and seabird quano), going to get some aluminum sulfate today to try n correct the pH in the already planted ones by mixing a lil into the top soil, tried watering with vinegar diluted with water it seemed to help a tiny bit pH is reading 7.6ish they just look pissed honestly, I’m sure the heat wave we just had this last week didn’t help either, then the other night there was a crazy lightning storm wen I shut off the ac in the bedroom the temps jumped up to 90°+ in the closet in a matter of mins they didn’t like at all.

I’ve been reading and researching alot the past few days still am, I’ll be removing some things I added and adding the aluminum sulfate along with humic acid

My only concern is if I can salvage the soil I already mixed by adding aluminum sulfate. I do plan on mixing a completely different one just don’t want to waste wats already been started if I don’t have to. It’s my own fault for rushing trying to get the soil ready b4 I had done the proper homework, You live and learn I sure n shit do, it’s wat I love about growing there’s always something new for me to learn

My boyfriend took the two ak47 x blueberry and the two jawlato and transplanted them he went back to using our old mix fox farm ocean forest/ happy frog 50/50 mix they have responded nicely. Kinda glad he did since the ones in the super soil aren’t doing so well, gives me time to adjust the recipe this way we’ll still have some plants growing just in case the ufs 18 and tigers milk dont make it, I no how resilient cannabis can be so I’m still hopeful they will turn around once I correct the pH issues

Happy growing :seedling:

They’ll pull through the high pH, just don’t add anything…

The aluminum sulphate takes quite awhile to breakdown. Months usually. I use it on my blueberries. It usually takes a whole season to bring it down a point. Maybe mix some peat moss into the stuff you have cooking now as well? It could help too. Good you transplanted, your nutrients would be locked out by the time you hit flower more than likely. On perennial plants, no biggie, but annuals like weed it takes too much time.

You can also google your local agricultural extension office, most do free or minimal fee soil tests. That will tell you if your mix is lacking or too hot. Usually they can tell you what to add to fix it as well. I don’t do shit to my cannabis without a soil test personally, but I only get one shot per year at it.

Oh yeah, yay on the sour diesels, but they may outlive you in bud. Fkn diesels… long flowering times lol

Ooh! Hopefully your Aunty gives you the same kickass crazy yield I got last year. She was an epic plant. She was dainty but mighty in her bud spears. Very enjoyable smoke too

@Meesh, ya I desided to hold off on the aluminum sulfate, just gunna use some good old litfa for now, only thing I’ve changed is I’m watering at a lower PH

That’s good to know about getting the soil tested I’m going to look into that, thanks again

Oh and I’ve been slacking on the push ups challenge for July, figure by posting this I’ll hold myself accountable and that will get my a$$ in gear

I think about the damn push-ups all day until I do them. Usually I just knock them out so I don’t have to think about them anymore lol.

I have no excuse either I’m young (turning 35 in a cpl months,) and in fairly good health, I’m pretty active as it is too, and as much as I try not to stress about stuff works been more then abit stressful lately, luckily I’m going on a long overdue vacation next week, the bf n I are taking my son and my son’s nephew up to NH for a long weekend, my son is only a yr and a half older then his nephew, we are all in need of a lil recharge :sunglasses:

Once I get home and cool down (it’s hot as balls today) I’m going to bang out these push ups once I start I should be good I tend to procrastinate on certain things

Just confirmed another aunty fester aka ufs 18, Im super pumped for this one it’s one of my favs, it has more indica leaning leaves then the rest of the ufs, can’t wait to see the difference in the growing structure the nods on this one are closer together too. Also confirmed a jawlatto female and another male will be tossing the male once my bf gets home. So far we have the two female ufs 18, and one jawlato, still waiting on the two ak47 x blueberries, the tigers milk, and two more ufs to show I’m almost positive the tigers milk is female don’t want to jump to any conclusion with out proof first

Happy growing :seedling:

Nice. @Mongobongo’s cross sounds interesting. Best vibes with them and I hope it’s fire so maybe then it’ll get turned into a nice new strain. peace

@GMan they really do sound incredible, I was reading the background info on the different individual strains the other day, can’t wait to see wat the structure/ smells are going to be, all the ones I germinated have popped so far and I’ve had them a lil over a yr now

Its funny I see a pic of that little guy today. Just the other day I saw a green one, and instant flashback 20 years, remember seeing the colorful ones like that, but ONLY on my guerilla weed grows, not on any other plants in the yard. I just chuckled cause it was like the tie-dyed bugs like the weed was my thoughts at the time.

Not having grown outside in, well, 20 years it seems, I kinda forgot about that little bug till I saw his green cousin the other day.

Thanks for sharing!

Anytime, after I took that pic it was like I started seeing them everywhere actually had one in the car not as colorful it did have spots tho, at first I thought it was an ash or something flying around the car then it landed on the staring wheel actually might have a pic still, yup at least I think it’s the same kinda bug sure was jumping like the other one

I’d do the pushups with the kids; They’ll remember it forever.
My buddy went from couch-potato to avid cyclist :smirk: when his kids got past diaper age; He said he realized they’d mirror his behavior & end up unhealthy & it’s seemed to work so far. :man_shrugging:

:evergreen_tree: that’s why I’m still single

The ufs18 are bouncing back since giving them a nice healthy dose of litfa we have 3 remaining, two are confirmed female the third is being stubborn lol, also have one more ufs18 seedling that is coming right along,

The two ak blueberries and the jawlato are chugging right along still waiting on pistal confirmation from the ak blueberries it’s been about a week since I last checked letting the man run those so far they look much happier are growing daily. The 3 sour desiel got transplanted be4 we go on vaca, Figure the older ones will veg for awhile they are now just where they should have been 6 weeks ago just glad the strong survived I learned many valuable lessons this go around

For the babies we have 7 of the black triangle x sour desiel x snow lotus, and one ufs18, the empty cup was the gsc fem still holding out hope if nothing happens by the time we get back I’ll toss it, just really enjoyed that strain had a nice strong gassy smell with solid buds

The front three next to the seedling are the ufs18s middle is yet to show sex have a feeling it’s male I could be wrong however only the will tell
