I cant believe with all this talk about Queen west and no-one mentioned my second home?

I refer to, of course, The Bev.

I hate to break it to you… but the hipsters and condo culture won:

I wonder if they still have that vague scent of stale beer and urine…

Lees Palace and the Horseshoe do!

It’s sad that people want to live in these once cool neighborhoods, but they close up everything that made it cool to build condos for the hipsters to live in.

For me it was when they turned Jilly’s into fancy condos.

5$ crack whore tricks one day
Million $$$ condos the next.

It’s sick.

A drawback of gentrification.

Jilly’s was a hole but it suited the neighbourhood.

But you should know the general populous has morphed into being experts of insincere sincerity as Canadian’s.

Like someone bumping into you coming out a door that you were trying to come in or instead of taking a pause for others they just push there way through saying “sorry” but continuing on.

You know what im talking about. We may be polite just alot are not sincere about it lol.

I’m sorry to hear it :worried:

I have heard the term Canadian sorry a few times. Its when you engage in a polite script at an issue or grievance without any sincerity, you are just trying to follow a social script that requires you to say sorry to begin ending the incident
