I hear ya. My 2 biggest reasons:

  1. I have an allergy to :fish: resulting in Anaphylaxis.
  2. I’ll eat a nice bottom but I ain’t eating any bottom-feeders such as :shrimp: ,:crab:, :lobster: , etc)…

Although I do make the exception of “eating” the Human bottom-feeder(s) that I’m in a relationship with.

If you mean kites pulling snow boarders, I can see them on the lake from the end of my driveway or when Im walking my dogs.
They park on my street and walk out on to the lake.

I think it’s either tomorrow or Wednesday we will be able to put our plants outside for a few hours for some fresh air

+8 yesterday with sunshine that felt like a nice warm day from those crazy frigid temps the day before right back to -2 this morning . Ahhhh Niagara and the good old escarpment. Sometimes it traps warm air, sometimes cold it’s a crap shoot this time of year for sure.

crazy warm here too… from the arctic blast of a couple weeks ago to everything starting to melt… we even hit the +8C temp the other day… nuts.
Should be highs of -10 , lows of -15 to -20 this time of year.
still managed to get out for some ice fishin over the weekend with family and friends. Haven’t seen my youngest son since christmas before covid hit so it was a good time regardless of the spring like air and slushy lakes LOL

Plus 10 here today, all the snow is nearly gone, but the ice on the river is still there, won’t last to the end of the week though, we have almost 10 days of plus daytime temps and only low minuses at night :grinning: Going to save loads of money on the heating this year lol. Might even be able to start my house reno a couple of months early if this keeps up.

cycling temp at it’s finest…

it’s not good for much…

mother nature is suffering from some severe illness it seems…;*(

I will have to go through some old weather records and see if these frequent cycling temperatures occurred in the past.

from what I understand a solar event is taking place that will be providing the earth with some warmer and wilder weather across the globe.
The sun , as it spins , iit doesn’t just sit in one fixed place. It moves in an egg shape pattern as it spins. Then the earth has an egg shaped orbit around the sun.
The earth and sun are at thier closest points in space and on top of that , the angry side of the sun, with the most solar activity and storms that eject plasma into space , is facing the earth during this eliptical cycle.
So this will be a year to remember all over the globe and there will be many silly humans on this planet who will proclaim the evils of man made climate change when really , it is natural and there ain’t diddly piss we can do about it

Should have some magnificent aurora borealis shows this year then!! I’ve loved the Northern lights since the first time i ever saw them as a child and will pull off the road at night to watch if they’re out dancing

Will be interesting to see what effects on technology these solar storms will cause. When I used to work on the drilling rigs we would have to pull high and circulate (essentially stop operations) due to solar storms affecting the readings from the MWD tools.

Thank you for saying that lol! The earth has froze and thawed many times over the last million years. I’m sure we’re at fault for something on earth and I’m sure we could take care of the planet a little better but climate change is the loop that has always occurred lol
