A stainless steel lobster pot with a hole cut in the lid, 2” copper pipe on a flange on the lid with a 45 degree elbow reduced down to 1/2” with a threaded union to separate it from the condenser

Edit: the condenser was a 1/2” copper pipe with a 3/4 copper pipe outside like a water jacket with hose connection top and bottom to hook up to the sink.

Happy growing!

I should be getting store credits for this or something  (I’m not)

Check out Black Swallow soils if you are into organic soil (I mention it because they are close).

More or less yes, bit more to the specifics and safety and or making good quality stuff so definitely check out that site but functionally wise dump your bad wine in, plug in and let boil till produces vapor that condenses in the coil and throw away the first 50ml or so that comes off as thats gonna contain your methanol which is poisonous, then you continue on collecting your ethanol till you get to your tails.

Collect all that which should be roughly around 40% and run again which will condense it into 75-90% range.

The one I have is the same as Mr Sparkles with the temperature control. You will have a hard time getting a high proof % on the water distillers that don’t have the temp control. This is the one I have. The only thing I wish was different or better would be it being 2 or 3 times bigger but it’s not a big deal. Having the temp control also alows you to evaporate alcohol from oil when making RSO without scorching it.
