The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

What kind of soil? Same as for DP? Looks happy now on the top of the plant. It likes the recent treatment.

Ye same soilā€¦you probably correctā€¦it was re-potted 10 days agoā€¦and I just noticed like you the new growth seems okā€¦

Guerreroā€™s sativas certainly for those who know, are easy to identify from other Mexicans: large plants, not as large as the Oaxacan ones, very serrated leaflets, and the aromas of the tails are wood-type aromas, very complex, rather earthy and with very cerebral highs
Here a original colita de ā€œcaca de changoā€ the most famous weed in Guerrero. The photo is from a friend of mine who knows some farmers from the Mountains.

Twitter Spaces is the fastest way to do that. One sets up the Twitter space and sends a reminder to the crew andā€¦ voila!

Iā€™m interested in the idea but you guys have far more sativa knowledge than I do.

The next step is figuring out a day and time that at least 4 of us can agree to meet for at least 30 minutes, once per week. Then, the rest is easy.

Wow! I had no idea buds like that could come from a Mexican Sativa. Massive! Monkey poop is a great name and with buds like that and a great high I see why itā€™s famous. Iā€™m beginning to see a common theme with Guerrero strains toošŸ¤£. Weā€™ve got Monkey poop and goat poopā€¦what else? Someone has a good sense of humor lol. No El caca de Toro buds?
@Panamajock Iā€™m up for discord or other sometime once I have a better grasp on the genetics from this region. There is a lot to learn and I donā€™t even know enough to ask good questions yet. It would be a short conversation now.
@RoryBorealis thatā€™s a good thought. Multiple short sessionsā€¦

Does @Elchischas speak English or can we translate?

@Panamajock We should also consider the people in areas that are a security risk. SOLUTION: Buy a cheap burner phone, or buy a used phone(not yours). Create a new Twitter account, use Wifi or have a cheap prepaid phone plan. This will help to remain stealth.

@Upstate We can pick a region for each week, that we will mention here first. That will allow everyone to pick a question or research a particular subregion. Heck, we can even discuss other regions regarding terroir, rainfall elevation and etc, for comparison. Ie: Colombian highlands vs Thai highlands. This can be educational and lots of fun.

I like the idea but letā€™s stick with the region that the expert ( El chiscas) lives in. There will be plenty to learn from just Mexico imo. Big country.

Nice @Panamajock!!! congrats!! Iā€™m surprised how wide the leaves are, contrary to most of what we see or read!! Awesome!! Too much of a novice to be able to help you! Apologies!! Listen to @Upstate and a few of these more mature cats!! Keep up the good work!! :hugs:

Regarding the formation of a Twitter Space, we shouldnā€™t limit the discussion to just Mexico. By including the rest of Central America, we open the discussion to a vast array of genetics. I am grateful for the rare insights to that particular region, but letā€™s for sure invite all regional voices to the party.

The ā€œred stemā€ P1s? Fuck manā€¦ I sent Guitarzan a pack of those that I grabbed. I wish I wouldā€™ve known you were popping these, I wouldā€™ve sent em to you to increase the diversity

Beautiful bud! I have some of Escobarā€™s Oaxacan S1 that are also purple. I plan to cross them to another regional landrace of of these days.

An early plan is to cross it with Bodhiā€™s Zipllite Oaxacan. Bodhi collected those seeds while visiting from some buds so it probably is not a pure landrace but could be. At least it is a modern reigonal strain. It is the second and third photos.

Not my photos.

Hi all

I stared 4 oaxacana 1 didnā€™t make it Iā€™ll drop 2 more just in case !
Just up potted the 3 seedling from the wee bags. roots where healthy and growing out of the bags so I mixed up some promix and worm castings just for them ! theyā€™ll stay in the 5x5 pots till they sex .
Iā€™ll keep moms as long as I can ( back to only 2 tents damn I miss my propagation tent all ready :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:) been trying to talk the mrs into letting keep a mom tent but she thinks I have too much going on so I may need to build a secret closet we shell see !

I was thinking of 16 clones in a sea of green
Once rooted give them a week in the small 5 x 5 in pots then flip
I feel it will keep them small
But that hand watering sucks

So here they are
Oaxacana @Upstate :+1:

Once I see how they do I think Iā€™ll put one in the Octopot in the big tent in an all satie run
