I definitely agree with that. Accelerated when warm and slowed/ stalled when cold.
Yep, exactly. Couldnāt agree more.
With the availability of genetics, people lost focus. Everything is different, every grow. Things get more interesting when people stop trying to do everything and instead just do 1 thing for a long time. Thatās where most everything noteworthy originated.
Punta Cometasā¦one male and one female. Female is remaining in flower room and male was moved to a tent and back to veg hours. Hoping to get him bigger and give him some more time. I will collect pollen and freeze it.
Your Comets tip look greatā¦
I saw them crossed with Oxacan for saleā¦pretty expensive

Description
A few bags of seeds from a friend who smuggled weed from Punta Cometa from the 1970ās to early 1980āsā¦ this lot was from a bag from 1974ā². These are from smugglers loads coming from the mountains, so they could be from Mixteca, Ixtlan in Sierra Norte, Sierra Sur, Valles Centrales and some loads coming from the Oaxaca side of Vera Cruz. These are delicate sativas that can form nice long colas or smaller clusters. Flowers turn orange and pink and shades of other colors. Flowers have a woody aroma and smell of ripe fruit similar to papaya or mango. The Oaxaca 74ā² grows about 5 to 6 feet, but could grow taller if given the root space to grow. No intersex traits or sensitivity to nutrients but as a rule treat all Mexicans from these southern states with kindness and donāt try to push with fertilizers or over water. Outdoors some phenos can finish in September or October. This is a limited release of a strain from a different time. Try to make more and share.
Donāt know the company.

P J
Iām pretty sure they are the same seeds - Snowhigh put them out !
As written by Snowhigh - These are from smugglers loads coming from the mountains, so they could be from Mixteca, Ixtlan in Sierra Norte, Sierra Sur, Valles Centrales and some loads coming from the Oaxaca side of Vera Cruz.
Ye ā¦amazing price $260 for ten seedsā¦=$26 per regular seed.
Sold out as well.
Thatās not rightā¦ok maybe $10 a seed if itās special and you really need itā¦but ā¦way out my league. Wonder where all this overpricing will lead us.?
@TexasTea you be giving a discount when you cross LoL to the guys on the thread.
Breeders start following the market instead of working on their own trends.

There should be a ganja landraces and heirloom department in the Global Bank of Seeds in Svalbard ā¦
Yeah, these were a trade from our kind friend Tejas. Iām very grateful to be able to give them a try. These are from the purple line.

Svalbard has the key to human survivalā¦
To OG, of course
If all seeds were that price I sure wouldnāt be buying many !
Deez, the ChupaCobra is coming along great. Really nice smoke and no heavy effects from the little bit of PCK in the mix. Starting to get very tasty, has a nice up beat effect, mild euphoria and puts you in the right place.
Your doing a grand job so far ā¦good luck.

That is expensive. Most of his stuff is. I paid $300 for 10 Durban seeds.
The viet black were 50$ each and dalat were $40 each or vise versaā¦$900 for 20 seeds. That was the group buy that spawned the Freakers.
Great rare stuff for sure but a group effort is sometimes required to afford it. Tejas ran the 74 punta cometa for the Freakers. 74 Oaxaca Ć punta cometa is a misprint. Its not a snowhigh cross. Its of unknown originsl origin.
Whaaā¦$30 a seed.
To us youngsters on the threadā¦Do you do it for preservation?
And was the Durban poison worth it? ā¦$30 a seed
Have you paid more ?
Your knowledge is pretty incredible and your one of the most respected contributor on OG
And just a wee sidelineā¦What strain is the holy grail for you?
And why.
This is open to all ā¦whatās your holy grail?
Mine is definitely a Sativaā¦Landraceā¦after my DPR grows and now the Colombian Goldā¦Iām well hooked to central y South American strains ā¦not forgetting a Mexico.
Thereās some smashing fotos and grows this past year on the threadā¦lots of nice Mexican strains highlightedā¦ the Cometas @TexasTea being the latestā¦they look yummyā¦
Sorry to put you on the spot @Upstate ā¦but Iām sure you donāt mind.
Ye keep up the good work.

And is it possible some of those seeds still availableā¦wouldnāt mind giving them a run down here.
I have some of the parent pollen if you want.
I havenāt grown them yet. I hope they are what Iām looking for.
I want to try the best of all the greats I grew up hearing about.

I searched longest and hardest for Oaxacan and Durban. Between Cryptic Oaxaca and Huixtepec Iāve fulfilled my Oaxacan dreams. Donāt get me wrongā¦Iād love try more from the region but no doubt Iāve tried two of the greats and I feel lucky about that.
The licorice Durban I seek has alluded me so far. Iāve tried 3 now but have my most promising Durbans remaining to go thru yetā¦i was always one of those that ate the outside of a donut or cheese combos first and saved the filling for last anyway. I like a proper finale sometimes. Hope I get one.
Normally yes, but Not this time. That $300 Durban purchase was for me. I donāt recall ever paying more by myself. In a group purchase i haveā¦
Any extra Punta for @Panamajock? If you have the same amount of beans i do Iāve got it coveredā¦but if you have moreā¦
