My house was built about 80 years later than the house I grew up inā€¦ so I feel like Iā€™ve got it easy compared to my dad. Painting a 3 story Victorian home took me and my dad the better part of a summer.

THAT was my NL5Haze x SensiStar F2 you got from Sebring?
Iā€™ve never seen any grown out yetā€¦ I knew the super Haze pheno was in there thoughā€¦

Itā€™s honestly most likely not that uncommon in the #5 Haze beans from those F2ā€™s. I saw one super foxtail sativa pheno in the first pack of FLC BX1ā€™s I popped hunting for a male to cross back to the mom. Both the F2ā€™s and the flc bx1ā€™s used the same NL5Haze x Sensi Star #1 male.

Itā€™s a very interesting plant. Iā€™ve grown many plants over the years nothing like this this one. Nice job my friend :ok_hand:

Definitely nice resin, but the two long flowering plants steal the resin award for sure. As far as flowering goes I didnā€™t do them any justice. I now realize I should have transplanted into 3 gallon pots about 4 weeks ago. They have run out of food and a transplant this late would just make the smoke harsh. I think Iā€™m going to give these two plants another round seedless. All the seeds took energy and prevented the flowers from getting larger. Again, larger containers at week 10 may have allowed for enough energy for better floral clusters and seeds. Iā€™ll get some pictures of the long flowers soonā€¦

The dwarf plant is winding down at this point. Iā€™m torn as to whether I should pick it or Let It Go longer. Thereā€™s still lots of clusters of new flowers forming on the seedless branches and it looks ready to foxtail. I donā€™t have enough experience growing these long flowering types to know whether itā€™s ripe or not. What do you all think? One more week or pick it now?

@Upstate
Why not cutoff a bud, dry it and smoke it to see?

@Trowertripperā€¦I think I will. Going to have to microwave it unfortunately. Short 13-second bursts and it doesnā€™t ruin it too much. It might even dry on a rock todayā€¦ itā€™s going to be hotā€¦Iā€™ll do both.

Get a 30X loupe and look at the trichomes. That will tell you what you need to know.

I have had good luck making a canoe out of tin foil and putting it that that and setting on the toaster then zapping it with heat a few times by pushing the toaster plunger down. Just make sure the little canoe you out it in doesnā€™t fall in the toaster

I feel like Iā€™m reading parts of my life story from @lefthandseeds and @Upstate, lolā€¦ Iā€™m 66 this year and worked alone the last 25 years or so. I never came across anybody to hire. But, doing it all alone is a slow way to go and I started losing money, but I always did work that I would never be re-called about, period.

That deck looks like some I used to build all by myself. Not much smaller at all. I actually built one here when I first moved here 5 years ago. Last big job Iā€™ve done. It was complicated as he had a hot tub on the driveway below and I build decks all around it and lots of different stairs. I got sick of hauling all of that treated wood. My body is getting too broken up to hump it like that anymore.

But, now, Iā€™m in a 125 yo old house that Iā€™m doing my best to improve. Mostly all yard/property work so far but Iā€™m about ready to tackle some indoor projects. I feel like Iā€™m on a treadmill, too. Rinse, repeat, repeatā€¦ Growing pot is taking half of my awake hours, as well, Iā€™d sayā€¦ maybe more. But, being in poverty now makes it easy to stay here and keep working on it, heh. Iā€™m as happy as Iā€™ve ever been. Itā€™s my first house after working on others most of my life. Well, off to the ball and chain. Plenty to do.

Oh, and great thread you got going. I hope I can get some of these old Mexi seeds up this year. Gonna start that project today. Peace

Iā€™ve got what are supposed to be old PR seeds, too. I got one of them to grow but lost it in flower while out of town for work. Gonna get on them today. @Upstate got me all interested again with that Oaxacan smoke report. peace

I saw a couple little spots on to plants I might be able to smoke. They were a little too far along when the pollen started flying. The calyxā€™s already turned yellow but Iā€™ll smoke it for you LOL. Iā€™ll get it this evening.

The original, official, stash and pot canister of theā€™70ā€™s. I got a few to burn through so something has to germ. There seem to be a good many small dark seeds, too.

These are definitely special. I tried the dwarf in the last few hours and worked in the garden out in the sun. No fog, no fatigue. Great work weed. I do way more than I planned on doing when I started. Took about three tokes or so. I have some drying on a Hot Rock right now. @Trowertripper Iā€™ll have to try that one sometime. I really hate using the microwave but I found that if you keep it to 15 seconds bursts or less in the microwave, spaced a minute apart, it works ok.
Kind of ironic that I can go 14 weeks to get a taste of it, but I canā€™t stand using a method that takes longer than 2 minutes to try it once I harvest a piece LOL.

Something therapeutic about yard work @GMan. Itā€™s tough but relaxing work. Like gardening.
Interesting fact about working with the soil. Microbes that live in the soil react with your body and somehow you release endorphins into your body when dirt gets under your fingernails. You experience euphoria. I believe it too. I can stay hunched over all day as long as Iā€™m working in the soil

Definitely time to break that out Gman. The moon cycle begins to repeat towards full in another week I think. I think youā€™ll want to use the moon cycles for those old seedsā€¦
Before you soak them get a few pictures for posterity and put them in the thread here. Always good to have pictures of old seeds for comparisonā€™s sake.
