The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 3)

I wouldn’t think Panama would be in the sourdiesel. . But maybe.
Train rack has some in it? The reason I am wondering is because these panama buds are very flat like pancakes when you take the budlets off of the main cola I have been working with a friend of the sour d maker that lives in haines falls now.( and then) He ran the original cutting this summer and i got to smoke some. Good smoke! Needs till the end of october here to really fill out but even picked around october seventh it was great. I love that taste! It’s definitely a popular genetic in my area. lots of the weed around here has that ballpark sour d flavor profile

Nice. Original or well grown sour diesel was a top favorite of mine back in the day. Can’t say I’ve seen any close to “the one” which had me coughing up a lung and getting ripped off a couple hits in the late 2000’s.

The Casey jones was similar and had a nice clear headed buzz. Probably the closest to sour d that I’ve grown now that I think of it.

Hope you have a nice dry fall so all your ladies finish up to their full potential :call_me_hand:

The cutting I saw wasn’t very well grown so I can’t say if it would have looked like the nice diesel plants I saw out in Cali, But.
The story does seem to check out. The guy gave some cuttings to some friends in Albany, where it became known as Albany sour.
@420noob beautiful Oaxacans. :heart_eyes:
That Santa Marta is filling out nice for you. What do you think? Pure sativa? @YoBigdaddy and further thoughts? Looks pure to me. I remember the guy we got the seeds from was convinced it was a hybrid.

I can’t wait for the last 4 weeks of Corinto Flowering. Theyre getting so close. You must be ready to burst waiting on them😁.
Here’s a Panama plant(2) and bud shots. I Don’t think i posted this.

Which Panama is this?

Thanks Pj! An excellent argument for growing landraces, they’re tough on the whole.

I’m babying the Nanan to take it as long as possible. Carrying it inside at night, keeping dew and rain off of it etc.

@DainIronFoot I don’t think so but @YoBigdaddy did the repro he would be able to answer.
@Upstate I don’t see anything hybrid at all on this Colombian gold. At best it didn’t stretch very much maybe maybe doubled, but everything else screams true sativa.

2 Female, Regular, Acapulco Golds and the largest of the two, has developed a plant-wide Claw effect on 75% of its leaves. Mid-Week 9 of Veg

The plant is healthy, as are the other 4 in the tent, eating drinking on the same guidelines.

Am I seeing a characteristic of an older Acapulco Gold ? Or its just a phase some go through, I have no idea, but its appears healthy everywhere I look

The B plant is on the left below, and has a Normal grow happening @SativaKid
(2 Kashmir’s in-back) @vinu58ster

Just wondering, I’ve not seen this before, and Thanks in advance

I still have to give credit to @Greenfingers for poking-me a few weeks ago… not to FLIP them too soon lol.
They are going to hit weeks 8 & 10 this Sunday

I am not sure what causes that clawing as I have it in the Corinto I am growing. I suspect it has to do with excess nitrogen in the commercial potting soil I am using. These long flowering plants hate nitrogen.

Music to my ears @Grayeyes !!
I’ll use half the EWC amount in the next meal, and it will be the Last for 2024

Won’t even feel guilty watering in the Bloom Amendments

Thanks!

I tend not to use anything on my sativas outside but softened water. Anything else and they protest.

Thanks for that info. I am using a really basic approach this grow @Grayeyes

Only Veg / Bloom fertilizers, amended ~ 3 weeks, with Humalite concentrates for irrigation and uptake (& Molasses)

Re:claws I suspect that the feed is too rich. Are those plants in coco coir or some sort of mix?

Here to second GreyEyes approach, water only for my sats usually works and very cautious about the mix they grow in being too hot
