The most Spellbinding-Inspiring-Rousing-Interactive & Fun Autoflower Plant and Seed Journal 2023

Definitely, a happy sativa is needed. I planted some panama x malawi X zamaldelica express just now, but I have no idea whether the Panama or Malawi have a “happy” component to their high. @FieldEffect they are the ones you made, do you remember if the high from the mothers included a happy feeling?

Lmk if you want seeds of anything I might have @Emeraldgreen - I’ll happily share anything I have if you plan to plant it soon, and then if it turns out good, to make some seeds.

I find the Panama x Malawi to be really upbeat and happy. Great social day smoke.

Appreciate the offer. I have 3 increases lined up before I can do this project. I’m going to keep getting feedback on happy upbeat strains people have experienced.

Nearing the end of my Fall flowering run. The four girls are at day 53 post flip to 11/13 lighting. All new strains to me so I’ll be making my harvest decision checking the trichromes. I like to have amber in the trichromes. I’m estimating 2 more weeks for these two plants as well as the MOB which may finish earlier then these two.

Hey check this out! I bet if a few of us each bought a car or truck we could probably get a better deal on them.

Here are the autoflowers I’m running to hopefully make some crosses.

Man, you go on a 4 day camping and fishing trip and get home to find my journal on the bottom of the page. Anyway got home about 1PM today happy to find my plants had actually thrived with me just leaving them the heck alone for 4 days. Not sure what I’ll do with them but they can’t all stay in that 2x4 tent.

I snapped a quick picture of the Dosi delirium this afternoon too. She is really starting to take off now.

Looking at your last photo it’s pretty amazing seeing the difference just 6 days made  I think that the explosive growth is my favorite thing to see.

That Fog Dog is a really strong performing plant thus far. I have a question for you @RainToday and the list of other top notch autoflower growers on OG.

In this photo below in the back left is a Fog Dog in a 1 gallon fabric pot while the bigger Fog Dog plant is in a 3 gallon fabric pot is immediately to it’s right.

 aww, flattery will get you everything

I’m guessing the question is about the pot size and plant size?

Do you have a way to measure the light intensity, such as one of the phone apps? I would guess the one in the back left corner is getting less light. Partly from location, and partly from the pot being shorter - a few inches can make a big difference.

I would expect a smaller plant in the smaller pot, but not by much because you feed them well and 1 gallon isn’t a micro pot.

I’d also expect if it was just about the pot size that both would be blooming more at the same time than they are. Also, my actual stunted ones always bloom faster.

So I think there’s got to be another factor, and my guess is light coverage. That big one looks like it might be in a sweet spot of overlapping coverage from both lights.

Edit to add - it could also be mostly genetics, just a random variance between plants. In my current grow I would have variance like that in all my home bred seeds, except I killed all but the biggest.

A who is where diagram.

The light intensity I suspect could play a role but the small Double Grape in the 1 gal pot is in the sweet spot with the Fog Dog.

Something I’m watching is the similarity in the Jealousy Z and the Old School mango haze.

Yeah, I noticed that about the smaller double grape. The difference isn’t as huge there, but it’s significant. They really do like larger pots, I haven’t gone a full grow with any in autos in 1g.

I do still wonder about the height of the pots and the light. I have admittedly not the fanciest of lights, and in my setup 6" further away from the light can be the difference between enough light for a seedling and not enough, so that’s why the shorter pots seem like a factor to me.

I’m going to say its container size makes the difference.
One of the threads talks about keeping sativas small and manageable by using smaller containers

My biggest question on autos is how much light. I have an 18/6 going strong into flowering — but see others with 12/12, 11/13, 24/0. What’s your favorite?
