The Not Fridge - nothing to see here 👀

Made some sour lime gummies today with the last of my infused coconut oil stash.

Oil was made from buds and trim from probably 5-6 plants i grew (i kept adding to it) plus straight CBD buds and the ends of a dispo bags that get too old sitting on my shelf :joy:

Hard to tell how strong yet though. We each took 2 (and licked “the spoon” a bunch heh :face_with_hand_over_mouth:) and feel pretty wiped TF out, but we Also got flu and covid shots today so maybe thats what is up with our headbones lol 🫠

Tasty lime buddies for sure :green_heart: if they’re as potent as they should be (i used 2x what the recipe but my oil is probably 1/2 the THC of most so it should hit the mark), this should last me and the missus a while. She hates to smoke, but likes to sleep, i like that i can help her do that with stuff like this :innocent::sleeping:

They’re maybe 5mg 1:1, which is right where i like em for sleep/couch reading. Not too :boom: not too , juuuuust baby bear :bear:. And if i want more of that, just pop another :sunglasses:. Its crazy to think of how hard it was for me to find weed for So Many Years, and now its literally growing on trees :deciduous_tree: (well, shrubs- but im working on that!)

I’m going to have to figure out what to make with the 5oz of GD i made the other day… my problem with that is the evap/reduction step needed for most recipes. I don’t have a lot of space in my little house, and i think the last time i did passive reduction by putting a fan on it in my fridge room i might have dropped our IQs a few points that week… i guess i could put it in the garage with a coffee filter on top… if it takes a while it takes a while…. yes yes yes that is the plan. Thank you self  it is plain to see your IQ has somewhat recovered :v::sunglasses:

Bee active, Bee happy :honeybee:
A new flower week is upon us in the Not Fridge district!

In honor of spooky season, Sophia :custard: has insisted on wearing her greenish white fright wig, even though i think she’s getting too old for it… Maybe i’ll give her a few more weeks of leeway. I’m in no rush, and you’re only as old as you feel -so live it up girl

She’s also been a little darker green than i think is healthy at this stage, so i’ve been thinning her feed a bit this week hoping she’ll lighten up. Switched feed today per @papalag (et al’s) octo schedule to 100% jacks 5-12-26 (450ish ppm down from 500 ppm 1:1 mix of this and 10-30-20 the last two weeks). Thinking less N more K might step on the pistil brakes and bloom pedal a bit more also?

Rose :rose: on the other hand, is telling me she may be too old for dress up. She’s also telling me it’s too soon to make this joke about a possible costume… image
We kid, we kid :joy:

A little clawing in the leaves, and a little dark, (again, thinking N tox), but the new feed should even that out. The buds appear to be developing nicely :relieved: and the smell is really impressive 🫐:blue_heart:

What buds she gives should be nice and tight, and the only larf tiny and cute :crossed_fingers:

Wow the ladies look amazingly sexy oh yeah

Beautiful plants they look very happy and healthy

The dark green will fade especially using the 5/12/26.

Other than a bit dark , they are stacking nicely

Next time around week 2 in flower when you are training her those beautiful ladies , the lower buds ( larf ) should be removed for better development of the main buds ! They are actually taking energy from the big ones , when removed early in flower all that energy will help to develop larger buds

Your training looks great :+1:

How long will she flower for ?

The fall colors will be coming to in soon

@paplag good to hear im not just kidding myself thinking they look happy
Flowering time on Sophia :custard: per the breeder (Cream Caramel CBD from sweet seeds) is 55-65 days, but i’ll hang on as long as she needs. Looking to give my girls their full potential (limited only by my initial octoblunders®) so if i can help do that by waiting for the trichs to amber and not setting a time expectation, thats what ill do.

Im typically racing the clock for vacations or trips or whatever on my grows so it’s nice to not have to be in that position this time. :relieved:

Rose :rose: is a custom cross so i’m not sure what to expect from her timewise, but again, im in no rush. She’ll be done when she’s ready. Maybe keep an eye out though with me next couple weeks and see if you see what i dont? Not trying to get back on the banana boat image

Oh and yeah i’ll (try to) do better next run trimming larf before they develop. Helps to have a point in time to shoot for when to do that, thanks.

Lucky to have the magic friendo bell :sparkles::bellhop_bell::sparkles: to ring and summon magic friendos, in times of both stress and relief- thanks for stopping by paps :v::sunglasses::four_leaf_clover:

I love it lol

I’ve made many lol

When there ready is a whole other story lol my motto is we shall pick no weed before there time lol

100 % clear is the time some people like I personally like about 15 to 20 % amber

I use the time frame from the breeder only as a guide , the over all looks of the plant will tell you when

Hairs red to brown in color mostly ,
fade on plant , and again trichomes
I’ve learned to wait and see if they are still fattening up also

The Reaper licks his chops (sooner for Rose :rose: i think)

Sophia :custard: has finally started browning her pistils :innocent: (restoring my sanity) but she yet clutches to some of her youthful vigor… Never had foxtailing before but looks like it may be a foxy trim when shes done

Rose :rose: (the comeback kid )
Is looking almost donezo - I’ll give her another week (to stave off fatten-FOMO) but keep an eye on her just in case i need to chop before then.

I’ll try to get the microscope :microscope: up and running tomorrow for a look at the trichs…

Dropping feed strength from 450 to 400,
shooting for a graceful feed reduction - should it be less at this point? I know the flush is a myth but i’d like to see a nice fade if possible :maple_leaf::fallen_leaf:
Stay tuned… :tv:

I was just checking to see if anyone was reading this (jk ive only ever been an OK guesser)

Glad for the input, good sir :v::sunglasses:
Seriously stay tuned.
I don’t know if i’ve ever taken a plant down at the right-est time, happy to have the benefit of more eyes (and more brains behind them)

They are still early by quite a bit

I’m following this journal as well. I don’t comment in journals often because some folks use them as a record and don’t want clutter!

Clutter away my friend :sunglasses:
I am always looking for more perspective and ways to grow (both botanically and personally) and i dont have many people i can talk to about this stuff.

And thanks for the follow. I’ll try to keep it interesting :v::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Both of them, really? Im in no rush but rose is looking fatter and crispier than any of my previous plants ever have already. Excited to see where she can go from here :star_struck:

Yeah man they look great but you’ve got some time left.

Two words come to mind today.

AMAZING (:nose:smell)
image

And

SOON (:rose: at least)
image

Sophia :custard: begins to fade (one leaf at a time i guess).

Still an amazing amount of new pistils pouring out all over. Place your bets on how long she’ll go……

Foxtailing continues . And her smell on rub is is as advertised- heavenly creamy caramel.

Rose :rose: isn’t fading much, but can she get any fatter than this?

I thought she was there last week already but now it looks like she wasn’t (thank you @Foreigner for the nudge). Soon though?

Life has been a little busier than i like so i haven’t set up the microscope yet (soon). I also forgot to get a clip/gorilla arm thing so any scope pics i do get are gonna be shaky at best. But the view from here is pretty Amazing!

By the by - quite Amazed to be on the receiving end of so much effort in selective breeding. To take something that wants to smell like a :skunk: and massage its genes to make it smell and taste like :custard::lollipop: and 🫐 :cupcake: can’t have been easy.

You breeders out there are doing the work of immortal gods on a human timeline, and i honor you in my words and deeds :green_heart::green_heart::green_heart::green_heart::green_heart:

Have a good day OG

You’re in judgement call territory now but if it were mine I’d give it another week :+1:

Thank you, good sir.
My judgement reliability is in constant refurbishment, so i’ll err on the side of trust in how others would do for their plants, and limp her along another week :v::sunglasses:

Any idea on Sophia :custard:? I’ve never had one push new pistils this late in the game. Hoping she finishes Sometime and isnt like re-vegging or something.
Anyway it goes, learning is fun. And confusing. And scary. And good.
Man, learning is a lot.

Can’t remember if you are 12/12 or 11/13 at this point . Some good indoor grower may say I’m wrong ,but I would give them a bit less light to try to help with throwing new pistils. Sophia needs a bit of time. Rose is within 10 imo. GL
