Having a nice day off :relieved:

Warm today :fire:
Fridge reading hit 90F today, so i engaged the Heat Dissipator 5000®, back down to 86F ish :+1:

Productive in my respite, i cleaned my rig for the first time in a bit (aint she pretty) and gave my Rose (rotten peaches x blueberry Obama) a virgin glass vape test.

Curing in grove bag for 220 days. Been picking at her shake and smalls up til now, and been impressed, but holy moly, the main event is something else! The smell (and a lot of the taste) is straight gummy peach ring, and the high is fantastic. Best flavor+effects ratio of any plant ive ever grown, easily.

Fatty fruity nug

All i need of it to be throughly medicated in a happy state for Hours with no perceptible comedown:

Fed the fridge babies yesterday 1.5g/gallon MC, 1g Epsom, 3ml fish sh!t, filtered (brita) water, phd to 6.4. Not a lot, just half a gallon between them at this point. Lookin like happy campers so far…

Looks great in here! I’m still saving my pennies for a Heat Dissipator 5000 . Rose sounds extra tasty too! :green_heart:

Boy is she ever.
Running that strain again next round for sure. (betty white OG🤩)
Three reasons -

  1. i loooove it
  2. see if she is prone to herm, or if it was just a one off (science!)
  3. maybe finally get a big plant of something i know i love. maybe just the single plant, all the  i got to give

Good morning OG :sunrise:

We progress happily in the fridge, despite the recent heat wave.

Frankenstein :woman_zombie:
is the only one not showing her naughty bits yet…
But is keeping her color without any special treatment so far :star_struck:

Scarlet :grapes:
Is furthest along in her flowering changes of the three

Mug1.1
Is officially a lady plant, as of a few days ago , i am pleased

Backyard vegetables :tomato::hot_pepper::green_salad:
Are doing OK

The raised bed is another story.

Pepper plants are stuck being tiny, the basil is more or less stripped for parts by ants :ant: and the tomato plants are getting ransacked daily by (i am pretty sure but it might just be a coincidence that i keep seeing them just before and after it happens) the derpier juevenile member(s) of a visiting crow family. They are fun to watch derp around the yard but not fun to see my tomato plants be pulled out of the ground or snapped in half at the stem :grimacing:

Four originally,

one snapped (put the stem in water, maybe will root?)

One planted in a box with the some others, which have been growing much more vigorously (i think i got crappy dirt in the raised bed, these boxes have years old happy frog and whatever grows in them kicks ass comparatively).

One i poured new happy frog in a pot and planted next to the boxes.

The last one i wanted to see if a couple bricks would keep it in place long enough to survive the remainder of the dreaded Derpening that all crows :bird:‍:black_large_square: probably go through in this stage in life. Godspeed, buddy 🫡 :brick: :anchor:

Frankenstein D33 F20 FW3
Scarlet Grapes D33 F14 FW2
Mug 1.1 D93 F20 FW3

Left to right Frankenstein, Mug 1.1 and Scarlet Grapes.

:woman_zombie: Frankies starting to show her pistils after a nice little limb stretch in the pregame

 Mug is shakin her pom poms like a little champ

:grapes: Scarlet is running preflight wingflap tests after some frost was detected

Fed some more of the same as last week, after the pots were light and the soil was dry. Only a gallon between the three of them. Increased the strength of MC but only from 1.5g to 1.6g . Easy breezes

Tomato update :tomato: - in the game of brick :brick: derp :eagle: plant🪴, there are 3 rules: Derp first, derp hard, NO MERCY

I couldn’t even find it!

Happy Birthday America! (Couple days late) :us:
Also Me (only one day late)

Saw a bunch of family, swam in a pool and ate my weight in meat, sugar and starch. Cant ask for a much better natalversary than that :sunglasses:

The gals as of this morning:

Left to right, Frankie, Mug1.1, Scarlet Grapes

Frankenstein :woman_zombie:
(Not worried about the leaf in front, at least not yet)
I added a few drops of liquid N to her feed for the first time yesterday, hope she’s happy (i think she is, at the very least 1000 times happier than my last run at/of her)

Fun with Buckets

Some 🪣 background
The igloo cooler i got to be my on demand water/feed reservoir is
a) a bust
b) possibly the reason my last grow got fucked
c) probably not safe for my purpose (or any) if water is left in it for longer than a few soccer games
d) all of the above (the correct answer) :white_check_mark:

When i pull the top off, all i smell is chemmy plastic fumes. No bueno. Experimental data recorded, determination made, hasta luigloo.
IMG_1290

So, for my next trick…
Spigot swap to a Homer D. Pot bucket (after quick couple spins of the 3/4” spade bit), two britas rigged to the top, filtered 3 gallons of tap with the quickness. 3g epsom dissolved in bucket, distributed immediately into 3 1gal jugs and nutes mixed for each separately. Probably still an easier workflow i could be doing, but easier than it has been. More thoughts to be thunk on that for next time…

Been trying to bottom feed everybody so no dry pockets in the soil, but i didnt have any containers i could do this easily in. 5gal bucket is the right circumference, but too tall sides to not get caught on overhanger branches. Gotta make that bucket shorter - And keep all the blood within my body…. :bulb:Enter the Nibbler i got a million years ago for fridge metal shearing and never employed :

No not you :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

This one

Worked like a charm :sparkles:
Bucket 🪣 now fits a two gallon fabric pot like a (loose enough for my bottom feeding purposes) glove :gloves: without messing around with the branches

:100: % would nibble another bucket if (when) needed.

Ta ta for nowz - keepeth on of the rockin’ OG 🪴🤘

Thanks man!
I think so too. Going forward i think i’ll adopt a new mantra - less time = less chance for things to go sideways. Smaller faster/less bad more good. We’ll see how that go for a stretch :sunglasses:

What’s up OG, time for my regular-ish weekly update on my super redemptive, super simple soil grow in the Not Fridge!

At the risk of poking awake any sleeping plantagonists, things are going pretty… super :star_struck::rocket:

(As of 7/13/24, a date which we are pretending together it is today):

Frankenstein D47 F34 FW5
Scarlet Grapes D47 F28 FW4
Mug 1.1 D107 F34 FW5

Group (pre feed, so a little deflated/defeated looking -🪣 :green_salad: :droplet:
Bottom Feeding Buckets in (half) full effect as of today )

Frances Schtein
That leaf got wholly consumed by the plant, who apparently just loves to snack on em when she feels nervous i might not be doin it right (she is forgiven my sins). Otherwise doing noicely noicely thank you :relaxed:

Starlett O’hara
She is pluggin along, pretty happy as far as i can tell  (other than a couple little unhappy low low leaves)

Moog Wan.Wan
A surprise to be sure. But a welcome one
Given the abuse, being mired in a solo and practically exsanguinated for so lo-ng, this one has every right to tell me exactly where to stick it. Thankful she didn’t :innocent::heart_eyes:

All feels right in the world of this Fridge (now that im back to the future of the now, and this chapter of the Not Fridge saga is write-fully secured in the timeline)

@JOHN1234 Thanks bud :sunglasses:
And thanks for stopping over!

And and, thanks for the motivation to make an update :bulb:

Except for some leaves on Frank (and now Scarlet), visible plant joy is abundant

Frankenstein D62 F49 FW7
Scarlet Grapes D62 F43 FW7
Mug 1.1 D122 F49 FW7

I flushed Frank out yesterday in case the slightly low runoff ph was the issue. Runoff only improved a bit (from 6.3 to 6.4ish) but maybe the flush will help. I’ve also started adding a few liquid N drops on each of her feeds as ive heard the legend of frankenstein’s raveNous haNkeriN’ for it…

Crankodile files:

Scarlet is crushing life like a handful of perfectly ripe grapes over there :point_right:
Couple ugly leaves but i’m thinking i can outrun it if i put the right shoes on and keep a steady eddie, one foot in front of the other mental pace. Eyes on that finish line, we believe in you :star_struck:

Scarlet leafers

And Mug1.1, well, she doesnt give hoot 1 (or 1.1 even) about whatever the heck i might have screwed/be screwing up, she’s just (i think) happy i gave her a high chair so she can get a lil more photosynthetic radiance like her bigger (but not older) sissas have beenjoying up in the Canopy Lounge :sunglasses::sun_with_face:

Just a champ in there :medal_military:

Hope everybody out there in OG land is having a great weekend, finds the love in their heart for themselves, their neighbors, their families (natural or chosen), and their plants.

If you can’t find it, keep looking!

Entering the home stretch-ish

Frankenstein D69 F56 FW8
Scarlet Grapes D69 F50 FW8
Mug 1.1 D129 F56 FW8

Good news bad news.

Good news - i finally was able to get around to a project ive been tryna get around to gettin around to doing yesterday. (See Next post)

Bad news :man_facepalming:- this led to some underwatering, which led to some overheating (91F+) pretty much all day yesterday.

Plants were not happy.

But we talked, and i apologized. They seemed to like that (though maybe it was just the water and food?) Now that there is some moisture in the air the temps are back to usual thank jeebus.

This is a them before bed. A little livelier, a little less pissed? Hopefully their current appearence means i just goaded them into senescense a little faster by simulating a desert in the Not Fridge :desert:

And not really screweth-ed the proverbial poocheth. 🫣

Time will tell, and the story will be told, read, reread, and learned from.

Coming round the finish bend for Scarlet and Mug im thinking. Another week or two tops. Im bumping up against a vacation :sunglasses: so 10 weeks is drop deadline for all of them.

No individual pics because of no great reason (general busy/tiredness is A reason, just not a great one)

Rub on all of them at this point -
Frank: sharp, sweet lemon :lemon:

Scarlet: up til now has been a fruit sugar candy, now developing into more complex, ointment candy kind of vibe :candy:

Mug1.1: a developing sasparilla note in the buds  , though the stemrub still uncooked hotdog :sunglasses: :hotdog:
