Soil of your choice, single plant ( or 2 in the 4x2 if you want )
Nectar nutrients. I’ll only use the ones you have .
Only difference would be light and strain
2 week seed
4-6 week veg ( up to you )

So after i harvest mid November after Christmas January 2019 it’s on!?! I hope i mean that’s when I’ll have some good fem seeds and ready to go for my fresh start grow with nectar :disappointed:

I’m also away from home a week in December to go back to my home land

@ReikoX I challenge you to an auto flower grow. 12/12 from the start. Any genetics of your choosing. 5 gallon soil pots (pot of choice ). Build your own soil or use something premade. Let’s do this!

I am in a mood tonight. Ive had a number of setbacks trying to dial in my HPA system, but I am making some good progress.

This is probably foolish, based on how many seedlings and clones Ive killed or maimed in the last few weeks, but Im going to challenge @SuperiorBuds to an HPA Root War! I think he and I are the only two doing HPA on OG at the moment? If there are any other HPA growers lurking, they are welcome to join in. Im up for a root three way or a full on root orgy :smiley:

The mission, if you choose to accept it, is as follows:

  1. Primary goal is fuzzy roots, but over all root condition, size, and look count too. Obviously, there will be root porn pics.
  2. Second metric is dry yield per plant, per day of growing - including veg, but not including any time spent starting seeds or clones. We will count from the time they go into the HPA system, but lets limit clone or seed start time, outside the system, to a max of two weeks before they have to go into the HPA system.
  3. Any strain from seed or clone. If you grow more than one plant at a time, you must designate one plant in the beginning as the player (or victim in my case :slight_smile: ) You can wait until they are ready to be transferred to the HPA system to decide which one.
  4. No limits on time. Start when you want, flip when you want, harvest when you want. Im at least a week, maybe two weeks, from starting officially. Im going to do a single C99 in a scrog setup in a small 7 sq ft tent with SolStrips, using Mega Crop. I will be vegging for a while to fill the scrog screen. You can do 12/12 from the start, scrog or not, or what ever you want. Your choice.
  5. Any lights, any nutes, any what ever else - as long as its HPA.

I think thats enough rules, but feel free to suggest any changes or additions you want. Im easy :slight_smile:

Haha hell yeah man, sounds like fun! I discovered a lot of things when tearing down the plants this time, and we have some changes to the room that should make my next run a lot better.

I will be running 3 plants, but I’ll pick one when we start to be the challenger. The room rebuild starts this weekend so I am hoping to be ready to go for the next run within a week or two myself. Good timing. Like last time, this will be running under 4 HLG-300 QB’s, SolStrip side-lighting, and Ionic nutes. I’ll be rebuilding my trellis for training all of the plants.

However the one thing with my setup is – I’m not 100% HPA. I have the NFT flow flushing the root zones and maintaining temps, so my upper roots are all HPA but once they hit the bottom of the tubs they can heavy feed from the lower NFT flow. As long as you don’t mind that we’re good to go. :slight_smile:

I am not 100% sure the NFT portion is needed, it’s more of a safety measure for myself after the root zone temp problems I fought. But I’m sure without that I would never have pulled 1lb from the OC this last run. (Even with major problems, she was a producer.)
