A lot has to do what you mostly been smoking. If you smoke the same weed day after day then you will be disappointed. Your body builds a tolerance to the same cannabinoids. That’s why it’s important to have at least 3 to 4 different buzzez on hand.
I probably wouldn’t have stuck with smoking when I started again a few years ago without discovering the CBD trick. It’s insane how much it helps.
Funny you said that cause it was the second strain I picked up when I started smoking again. Had it back in the day and was fine but it kicked my ass that time around.
I used to smoke in the 70-80’s and there was only one time when the bunch of us smoked some stuff and we were all fucked. We all went different directions because you could not be near anyone else. I bet if we could have got away from ourselves we would have gone for it. Otherwise I can not think of a bad experience due to the weed.
And other than at a party around 2004 I never smoked anything until 3 years ago, and that started as pain relief. A few store bought stuff and just grow my own since, and relatively poorly. But this year worked things out and had some decent seeds. Have some a grower worked on and passed along to me (first one along with a contest seed) which had a higher THC content and little CBD. I am fine smoking them on my own but can not imagine smoking together with people. I would end up with anxiety hitting me.
But mixing it with a CBD strain made it enjoyable. It also made the stone feel like a stone from my youth. Also we would separate out the seeds out of our weed, I am wondering if the same weed that would cause anxiety but instead has been pollinated, if we would get messed up in a bad way. I have not had enough carefree time to experiment and find out yet. Yes I know, priorities, I have the wrong ones. But my focus has been CBD, think that is coming together. Might be time to play sooner than later. I would really like to have a good time with people around.
i have one two lebanese and afghanis , southindian links im pretty shure would help many peoples, but i dont share links openly, PM
oh, marokkan too, old lines
The cause is a mix of many factors.
- State of mind, thinking patterns, unresolved trauma.
- Amount consumed. Using less or microdosing might be a better idea.
- Method of consumption.
- Length of decarboxylation and temperature.
For example, try decarbing at 100 degrees celsius for 3 hours (bain marie), start off with eating a little portion, the size of a pea, or half a teaspoon perhaps. Or if edibles don’t work for you maybe try this decarbing method before vaping/smoking. You may need less this way. - Cultivar.
- Method of cultivating:
Organic outdoor might be a little safer.
Since synthetic fertilizers are absorbed by the plant so easily it’s reasonable to assume that some of it remains retained within the plant material after harvest, whether you flush or not, and that then maybe enters your body. Some research needs to be done on this. - Time of harvest. The older the more relaxing.
- Certain foods and drinks ingested in the same few hours may be a trigger as well.
- Pesticides.
- Environment in which the cannabis is used.
Not having a tv on might help. Calm music. Soft light. Peaceful trustworthy people, if any present. - Other medication.
- Lights used may be a factor too. One time after consuming RSO from hash from unknown origin I had a panic attac, couldn’t move for a while, and everything turned a yellow hue, which now makes me think, maybe that’s because the plant got bred under this type of light. Classify this one as unscientific nonsense or esoteric mysticism. Either way, nothing beats the sun.
And so on…
Everything under the moon and the stars…
Not all that helpful.
To.me the onset makes a difference. With the strawberry cough, I was surprised at how rapid the onset was. I quit taking and felt a head rush and was scared a little for the first time in years…and talked to.myself.snd calmed down…because I had been this high before and knew what to do…
I think first timers and novices don’t know.how to.talk themselves down…
Welcome to the universe, where everything influences everything.
Well what’s the cbd trick …centrivical ball dragging ?
Degree’s of influence. Still not helpful to the OP’s question.
Yup. Drag them across some 80 grit and it really takes your mind off being too high for a minute!
You know, I’ve always wondered about the relative effects of seeded vs sensi of the same strain, that’s something I hope to try head to head one day in my own garden. One of the first people I smoked with, the guy who taught me to roll spliffs in college, was a Hungarian death metal guy who swore by the mostly (lightly) seeded bud he’d get at home, he thought commercial American black market weed was all too racy and uncomfortable if it was anything but an indica. My first grow got lightly seeded and to be honest it was some of the mellowest stuff I’ve ever had, not knock you in da couch just real dreamy and chill.
It’s not for everyone and the zealots who push it on kids and a cure all for everything are doing it out of ignorance and just wanting to be on a team.
I read an article that said sun cool lightly seeded all his bud. He said it gave it a better taste. So of course I did some tests. The seeds made the bud taste like the old bud we used to smoke.
Of course i got the occasional pops and sometimes an whole seed would be in there. But the taste that it added was great. Reminded me of when I first started smoking. People don’t go seed up your bud. I think the mellowness comes from the extra time that we give the seeds to mature. There would always be more amber because of that. Bud on the same plant without the immature seeds didn’t taste any different than it normally did.
You may have had different results.
I also don’t think it’s a cure all… but it does a great job at what it does cure. It has less detrimental side effects than synthetic chemicals on the body.
I am definitely trying an extra week or two on strains before I seed them up! But it’s neat to hear that Subcool found the the taste better with a couple seeds.
When do you normally sees? Do you count days?
I count days from flip, and also start looking at trichomes under 30-100x magnification to see if they are ambering yet. I count from flip instead of flower showing since I do a few things that speed up harvest and I figure that counterbalances the timeline. I’m trying to get more amber this time around and almost no clear.
Right on bro.
Just posted in another thread,
I hate having to empty the vaporizer to add some THC in the evening so I made myself a little pipe and put a little nug in it. I used the vaporizer first and after a short time lit up the pipe. Was quite pleasant.
The CBD took the edge of the pain a little and I took smaller tokes of the pipe, waited a little to see if I should do some more, lit up the pipe some more, turned out just fine.
