I don’t think I’ve ever put seeds in the freezer that were less than two years old, but don’t they survive that in the wild? I don’t actually know, tbh.
That was my thought like how much drying do they get in nature wondering if there just too thick shelled they were pollinated on like first week or two of flower so they got probably 6 or 7 weeks to develop and there super dark

The best method I’ve ever used is taken a piece of brownie phone at four ways dampening it with my spray bottle not smashing but pressing is seeds right onto it folding the paper towel up a slip it into a sandwich bag compress most of the air out without smashing your seed slide into the sock drawer two days later you should come back and have a Taproot hanging out just about every seed unless your room is some crazy out-of-control temperature. Which is highly unlikely.
I usually like to let the Taproot get long enough to where I can bury it up to the shell in a jiffy plug. That way all it has to do is continue up another little bit and lose its shell. I’ve started popping some in the Jiffy plugs and I have a way higher success rate doing it the way I described.
Everybody has their own little techniques but mine really damn near 100% success rate as long as it IS viable meow. I’ve had seeds take two weeks to pop in a jiffy plug. Meow there were seeds I had to pull out of the plugs crack with my teeth stick back in and then they would germinate sorry I’m blowing your thread up.

My thoughts are if buried really deep like they were in nature it would take time for the bud to rot away and break down before the seeds ever become able to germ idk maybe I need someone else to give them a try didn’t want to send until I had some atleast crack the shell

The purple Badlands is definitely worth growing only reason I don’t have more going is I only got 3 seeds left so I’m waiting on the preservation box to run those at the same time to either find a keeper or to F3
Yeah I think there are going to be some real unique phenos in the Badlands I for sure thought I had a flo leaning one until it started curing all stardoggy gassy chem but in flower it was berries my first tester nug even had a light berry taste and smell when first dry enough to smoke but that scent is long gone
