@hawkman I’m pretty happy with how she’s going to yield. She’s looking like twice what is typical for me.
I cut some popcorn buds a couple of days ago. They’re actually big for popcorn buds, but the potency and buzz were disappointing. About the most I can say about it is that it’s psychoactive.
I made a post on IG about it and their MMS guy said I should pop another seed. I’m going to pop all of them. But my hope right now is that it’ll be much better come harvest time.
Speaking of planting another seed, I just sprouted #2 and planted her here into the same pot. I figure the first one will be done in a month or less and that guarantees the next seed a spot and gives it a bit of a head start. I’m going to stand by my original plan of running each seed in sequence until I’ve tested out all of them. Then publish my unvarnished opinion, whatever it is.
I had a powdery mildew scare and sprayed down everything in the flower tent with a mixture of water, alcohol and whipping cream (didn’t have milk). I must have put too much alcohol in it, because the next day leaves were wilting and one bud looked like it was going to die. So I plucked it.
I just now smoked less than 1/4 gram and it’s pretty good. I know it won’t be done for a couple of weeks, so it should only get better.
My complaint about the smell isn’t really important if it’s good smoke. It is. I won’t know until cure whether this is a keeper though. Still got the clone!
My other complaint about being slow to veg does still matter. But maybe the clone doesn’t have that problem, we’ll see.
Today was harvest day. There’s still no skunk. It smells like grapes, actually, but mostly just like weed. Buds are thick, dense and heavy and this is going to be a great yield.
hear the same thing – James Loud (breeder) and many other have mentioned that also - they an tell the difference between Chem D and Chem 91 - just harvest Chem D (massive plant) Chem 91 S-1’s is next. want that old skunk taste - I hope !! what about this strain: Gorilla Road Kill (Skunk #1 x Gorilla Glue x Triple OG x Road Kill Skunk) fems by Skunk Works - going to add this to next grow
It’s day ~48 of veg for VX1000 #2. She spent a lot of that time in a very drafty greenhouse, and all but the last few weeks in the shade of her older sibling.
She’s hitting her stride! I need to take a couple cuttings because I’ve got ladies starting to flower outside now and want to catch her before that happens.
I’m working my way to the bottom of a Red Snake bag right now, and will soon have good things to say about that strain. Last night, I got to the bottom of the bag from my first VX1000 grow.
You’ll recall me mentioning a lot of disappointment in it, but it’s fire after having time to cure, and it was a great doobie. I had already decided to keep the clone at least until I could test her sister. I just inventoried my clones, and the VX1000 is missing! I recently had to move them to get some work done on my well and they must have gotten left somewhere.
As you can see below, I’m a liar. Just goes to show you that I need to downsize. And don’t mind the sulfur powder. It’s prophylactic. Crap- that’s a terrible picture but it’s already taken.
