You want a good hard wearing Yatch varnish or oil based sealer. All the acrylic stuff wears off after 10 months, its a constant re do of my deck every year
It’s 100% oil…lol. That happens to be vegetable oil, but I am not picky. I use what I can aquire. The house is used motor oil cut with kero.
I figure once a year I will be oiling the entire house down. Something like this will require maintenance…haha
Looks good, brings out the grain and colour of the wood.
I am always still amazed how this “junk” wood turns out. Nobody believes I have built this place from pallets and dumpsters.
I have a run on vegetable oil right now, so I will be using that for some time. (I have 150 gallons of it so far)
And thank to for the kind words brother
You have done an amazing job man, seriously impressed with your skills at using re claimed materials
@Shadey thank you
And off and running on the other end cap today
Hoping to get the rest of the siding on and oiled today on this end cap.
little by little you’re getting something amazing
For something that started out as a joke, the results are kind of boggling my mind. People tell me to write a book about it…my response is…I can’t, I am the one doing this. I make history, not record it. Start writing…lol
First time ever, it rained and no water in the house
Anybody else make their house a faraday cage? . Completely wrapping my house in this on my inner walls.
