All up so far, one heated garage with a cement floor…totall cost $38.78. that includes gas to drag it home.
nice work! I must say you have access to some interesting dumpsters, or did that carport fall off of a truck? lol
Lmao @monkeyman. I have access to the same dumpsters as most everyone else . I just go look, and then ask to raid them. From industrial factories, to multi-million dollar neighborhoods that are remodeling…no dumpster is safe from me brother
Once I discovered I could live like a king for almost no money, by fixing and raiding what the rest of society throws away, it was game on brother…and that’s one game I can WIN!
Keep in mind, we got the smashed up carport from the dumpsters. All the metal siding and such came from an old mobile home we raided. (Remember, I bought an old trailer park with a bunch of trailers I am Slowing tearing down and repurposing allot of the material around here)
@monkeyman though, this window DID literally fly off a truck in front me! Smashed the vinyl up a bit (which if course I fixed) but not a mark on the glass. It hit the road, bounced and went flying across the grass median. The guy just kept going. So I turned around, and my wife and I loaded that bad boy up on the roof of our Camaro, strapped it down and got started on building our kitchen .
I think the most “valuable” find is all the granite I got a couple weeks ago. Has to be 10 grand of it. We were out just doing our supply run thing (dumpster diving) and I see these guys carrying this stuff out of a house to a dumpster!!! I’m like wait one damn minute!! Now, I did have to give the guy a couple bucks for gas to bring it to me, because I had no way to transport something that heavy…lol. BUT SOON, I will be able to.
Bro you’re house is 5000 sq. Feet!? That like two big ass houses! I get excited over a new light, you got a whole build going on! I’m so jealous of the hidden rooms! I want to set up Traps sometimes but I will forget about them and take my own eye out probably!
@Stankynugget ya, it’s that big…lmao. Keep in mind, it was literally falling in on itself when we bought it, and had never been inside it And since our daughter and her husband followed us…i literally built a wall half way, and make them stay on the other side We got it, 10 acres, and several trailers for under 20 grand. So, we packed our shit up and moved. . Best thing we ever did
That is awesome bro! I want to build a greenhouse but if I build it I’m worried I will shoot the assholes that are bound to try and break into it. But if it is hidden well or camouflaged! That’s to funny! You drew the line in the sand, I would make the son in law have watering duties! What you doing with the trailers?
No way that window didn’t break man! You lifted that bytch off the truck huh? Lol.
Tearing them down, and using quite a bit of material out of them. Junking what’s left.
Lmfao . No sir, true story.
I can’t afford to buy the nice crap people with money throw away should be a million dollar property built from dumpsters when I’m done.
Love it!!! hehe, your ingenuity is truly inspirational. I have a similar dream, but we shall see! Looks great!
@nefrella thank you.
Funny thing about dreams…you have to decide to chase them
I have a friend that made their greenhouse out of old windows and is badass!
You can dream a little dream or you live a little Dream, I’d rather live it, cuz dreamers always chase but never get it. - Sage Francis
Yeah and he got those counter tops before the people put them in their house! Jk… for real tho keep an eye out for an autoclave for me! Ha ha
