Tiny Grow, MrSparkle inspired

Well done man! They look great. I loved the description of “feral” on that one lol. I’m excited to see them logged properly. I love the smelly berry leaning ones they are really unique to me. Hope you enjoy the smoke and cheers to making more seeds :v:

I am really looking forward to trying some of these buds once they cure! especially the #5 plant! :sunglasses:

#1, #3, #6 all seem to be of the same pheno. but, #1 is just like a hulk-mutant version of the other two.
#5 is a totally different beast. stems turned awesome dark purple too.

So, yesterday, I told myself I was relieved my grow was done… and I probably wouldn’t need to do another grow for at least 4 months.

Today, I found myself looking at the empty tent and then pulled these out of my seed box.

…Glancing at the glass I normally soak my beans on… :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

But of course when there is an empty grow space one needs to fill it, is a grow space afterall.

Right! Totally agree with that :joy:

Well, 7 of the Snowryder beans went into the water yesterday.
So, a new grow with the mini automated coco/hydro setup is underway… I’m not going to bother documenting that one though.

As for the Lowryder x Ultraviolet?
Today, I picked off one of the smaller buds that was fully dried (or, at least enough for grinding and smoking) and gave it a try.

Did one capful in my Dynavap M.
I won’t rate it on smell or taste because it’s not cured yet…

But, Its definitely not a stony-high. Very energetic, maybe even a little racy. (Probably because I harvested a little early. Trichomes not fully ripe yet)

Potency… I’d put it in the same neighborhood as the White Widow I grew recently. Maybe not quite as high (or maybe more? hard to say cause its a totally different vibe), but close.
It did not disappoint. Very happy to have a supply of this one.

Can’t wait to test more after it’s cured!

FINAL RESULTS:
plant #6: 9.8g (I’ve been stealing little buds off this one all week to smoke…)
plant #3: 11g
plant #1: 14.2g
plant #5: 12.3g

TOTAL HARVEST: 47.4g

I was a little shocked at how low this was. I was thinking I’d get close to 1.5oz per plant. But… we always overestimate, don’t we?

Now, here in the northeast we did have a major weather change a few days back, and our humidity plummeted. I probably should have jarred it up a few days earlier, because the buds are really tumbleweed-crispy dry. So that probably really hurt the weights too.

Guess I was shocked initially, because I typically get anywhere from 48-60g per plant, in the same tent with the same light.

But… to get that big of a harvest, I only grow 1 plant in that tent. And that 1 plant gets a very long veg time with tons of training to fill the tent from wall to wall.

So, I guess overall… the 4 plant autoflower total tent harvest is just about the same as the total tent harvest running 1 photoperiod plant.

Except the autoflowers finished at least 4-5 weeks sooner than a photoperiod.

If you can do two runs in the same space and time as one (almost) then it seems like a win to me. And yeah the yields aren’t spectacular but that’s a secondary thing for me on these. I love the uniqueness of the smell. I feel like the yield can be improved over a few generations tho. Which is why I want the taller phenos cuz I feel like there would be more potential flower sites on those. But still a nice looking grow. Autos can be fun. And you can grow any variety nearly and it’s done quick as hell.

Yeah. I specifically set aside the seeds from #5 and #1 into separate marked containers. I only got a few from each of these two plants.
But, next time I run this one, I plan to cross those two together, to try and get some offspring that have the best of both… the branchier, sativa-ish one that turns purple (#5), with the bigger bud sizes of the #1 plant.

Still bud in the end though , but you’ll refine it in time and change things up on the next run saying that bigger pots volumes are more forgiving from a yield perspective and allow the potential for bigger plants, only reason when I do run my small “400-440ml” square pots is it forces the plants to be only so big and allows me to fit in more plants because of it which helps when playing with seed making otherwise if I was going for yield it’s bigger pots all day. I have a ratio metric of root volume in coco vs final yield where if things are on point and went quite well I should expect a 10:1 conversion for myself from past experience as in 400ml = 40g

Of course there’s alot more to it than that but just one metric I use for myself to compare to my previous runs.

The Snowryder Autos are doing well.
Switched to smaller pots to keep plant sizes down, and this is mainly just to test this strain and maybe (probably) do a seed run.

I tossed one of the snowryder plants today. #6 was growing very differently than the other 5.
different color, different height, and had lots of serious leaf deformity. Not passing on the bad genes…

Lowryder x Ultraviolet CURE update:

So, Now that the bud has been in it’s jars for a few weeks, getting burped regularly… thought I’d give the update.
Each plant’s buds were put into their own jars, so I could tell what the differences are.

Plant #1 and Plant #3: Almost identical. Both strong berry smells, with a bit of sour funk. It reminds me a lot of Sweet-tart candies.

Plant # 6: This one the light, larfy, airy plant. Also the sweet berry, but contains much more of a lemon smell than the plants above.

Plant #5: This one surprised me the most. I had to put my nose in the jar a couple times today, to try and identify the smell. Then it hit me… BLACK LICORICE! There’s a lot of the sweet berry underneath it too… but the licorice is the dominant smell.
So different from the others! I am really excited about this pheno!

The high from all 4 plant is about the same. Very energetic, clear headed, upbeat high. Good for daytime. (I’ve been sampling a lot during the daytime, last two weeks)

Was walking through local hardware store the other day, and saw they had these small rubbermaid totes, that were black/gray. Picked one up. I already had an air pump and a stone, so thought I’d build a bubble cloner.
The collars came in today, so I put it together. 12 clone spots. Plenty big enough for me.

Now. Just need some of my BWxNL and Jack H seedlings to get bigger, so I can try it out :sunglasses:

Awesome to hear you got some licorice smells on that! I’m excited to try and find more :ok_hand: thanks for showing everyone what they can do. The cloner looks like a good addition as well :v:

Thank YOU for the seeds! I had a ton of fun with these autos and am grateful for the generous spirit of the OG community.

Nice, I ordered some of these just the other day, because they’re supposed to be very short. I’m tuning in to watch the show and see how tall yours go.

Well, I was being very slack with updates about the SnowRyder autos, but since @lefthandseeds is now following along for updates on this strain, I’ll get more serious with the details. :sunglasses:

The seeds sprouted and were put into the pots (coco/perlite) on Nov 1st. So, I’ll call that Day 1.

Around day 16, I topped all the plants at the 5th node… Just to see what would happenm when you top Autos. :tada:

Day 21, plant 1 showed sex (male). This is 2 days earlier than the LRxUVs started showing.
Day 22, plant 2(f), plant 4(f), plant 5(m) showing sex.
Day 23, final plant 3 showing sex(f)

So, we’ve got 2 males and 3 females. Perfect for a mini open pollination seed run.
1 and 4 are tall. The number 5 male is really tiny.

The little plant in spot 6 is actually another LRxUV i sprouted from a germ test of the seeds. Threw the others sprouts out, but kept one just for fun. We’ll see what happens with her/him.

Early on, all the plants were showing signs of Magnesium deficiency. I added more calmag to the reservoir, and they started recovering. Except plant 3. Still looking a bit unhappy. Going to be keeping an eye on this one.

They didn’t slow down much after topping, and all seem fine.
