For fucks sake I can’t believe the aphids population I’m killing tons of them but they just keep on coming back , I’m about to say fuck it and take these plants a little earlier than I want to! Here’s what’s on the bucket! If it’s any indication of my numbers!
It’s the time of year that the predators are on their way out for the season. I had problems with cucumber beetles and fungus gnats, neither of which do too much damage but the wind has been real high for a couple of days and I hope it blows them all away. Almost no humidity. We’re under a fire alert because of it all.
Snipped a small branch for some testing did a lemon/baking soda wash on it now it’s clean and sparkling!
I have a question don’t you was all the trichs off in this process?
Even outside you don’t pick for a couple days after a rain so the plant has time to get it’s bling back on.
The actual answer, not that you shall take it for such, lol… is NO it hurts nothing. THC IS NOT water soluble .
Scope tests before and after show it hurts NOTHING!!!
You did NOT harm your bud in any way Tiny!!
In order for “heads” to “break off” they need COLD conditions or TONS OF PRESSURE…rain will not wash any heads off.
Some close ups!
Some shots in the natural sunlight through the 30x scope… so since I’m color blind to me seems like a tad bit of amber in their what are your guys/gals opinions?
or do you think I need a better close up?Sooo we’re sitting at about 8 weeks from the time I noticed flowering started with the above pic Strain is AK 59 which from data I’v found this is suppose to be an auto flowering strain which IMO I don’t think it is , it’s an AK 47 crossed with a Low Ryder #2 from info I’v gathered off the net … all opinions welcomed
So my plans were to take most of these down in the Second week of October but the issues with the aphids I’m having I don’t want to keep spraying with JWA and later blasting off the dead aphids to Keep wetting my buds and the off chances of getting bud rot ! Haven’t seen anything yet As far as mild no Caterpillar’s or their poo so I feel lucky in that aspect of it .
So something new I’m trying here at the Tinys abode! So with my miserable attempt at this years Solo cup competition I’v been brainstorming on better ways to grow in ultra small containers . I had a hard time keeping my entire soil profile moist in a 16 oz cup ( hempy style) so time to get the wheels turning!
My new style incorporates a type of wicking system with a sub irrigated res. Got the ideas from different styles I’v seen over the years so what’s it all entail?
Just Two supplies : 2 beer cups and an 8-10” piece of paracord broken down into its seven nylon strings.
I wanted to see just how wicking the inner strands of paracord were so I peeled off the outer stealth placed a couple stands in a cup of water on top of a napkin and to my amazement the napkin was damp within an hour or so! I knew I was on to something!
Here’s the makings of my new watering system!
So starting with absolutely dry media in the cup everything was nice and moist within a couple of days. So the next phase was the reservoir which initially consisted of keeping the inner cup out of the water basin below… wait for it! It’s supper low tech! Lol
So the strings are poked through the cup and dangle out the bottom here I tied them up and left enough length for them to dangle in the water!
Here I used a little thicker Mason line that I used to make my trellises
