Looking good out there
Just went through some major hail damage some of the cannabis is tore up a bit but for the most part everything was just covered before it hit luckily some damage in the edges of the boxes that’s all lost some tomatoes and basil
That’s right, I remember you posting those pictures.
A little update on the planter boxes after the recent storm, I lost a couple of tomatoes on the north side of the boxes , basil peppers and a few flowers beat up but will pull through! The girls had some leaf damage that caused cracking but for the most part there doing really well considering! A few pics along with a little porn as well!
Ooooh that looks delicious good job can’t wait to see what you get out of it!
Yea pretty happy probably the thickest largest cola I’v grown on a plant ! This auto has four or five that will fatten up as well nice and solid as well! And it’s only about a foot tall to boot!
Well what’s a guy to do after a recent hail storm? You guessed it build a compost pile ! With all the leaves stripped from trees I have the greens as well as recently cut lawn grass coupled with last years remaining brown leaves a partial bail of straw and yard debris time to get started!
Time to start the laying process: 4:1 ratio eyeball method of brown to green wet each layer as go and add a thin layer of soil !
Anywhere roots can form is usually a good thing in organic soil.
Compost pile is heating up! About another 30 degrees to go to kill weed seeds and and any pathogens that might be in it!
Great thread my dude lots of diversity going on here.
Day3 of the heat up of the compost pile! Now to just monitor and keep a keen sense of smell on high alert! Ones nose is important in indicating potential problems ammonia type smell coming from the pile is an indicator that the pile needs air!
If it gets to hot, add brown material and water! If temps drop to fast it’s time to rotate the outside, edges, and top to the center!
Birds eye view from second floor bedroom window I have them tucked in pretty well and camo’d well getting there!
box #1 box #2Cleaning up the front bed with the recent hail storm that knocked down a lot of plants not protected… trimmed back the salvia to discover new growth underneath! The lambsear I’m go to keep standing cause there’s a lot of bee activity going on for nectar collection!
Never ending supply of free composting material!
