Cut it 10 to 1 (10 parts distilled water, 1 part acid) that will get you to ‘easier to use’ units.

No pictures today, only fatality reports. Nothing major, just giving up on two of my clones. One damped off, I believe, it was quite weak at the base of the stem. The other I’m not sure, probably wouldn’t have died as there were hints if life to it but I was checking its strength and pulled it off its roots… I put it back but I don’t know that it has much hope.
The third clone is doing well, and has a couple sets of new leaves now, although they are smooth edged? I have never seen this.
Seedlings, all are well. I need to put them in their pots soon, but I’m out of soil, and buying a RO filter this next paycheck puts off buying more a ways away. Really getting hard to wait those two more weeks on the ladies in flower. I’m not sure I’m ready for harvest and curing, but I’ll be happy to be able to move things around and get some more plants vegging. Not paying state prices every week will also help a hell of a lot.
Ladies in flower- well? Right off the bat I have to raise my hand and apologize for my stupidity. So the plant most effected by chlorosis is the Sk1 x BP x PT. I put a planter tag in it but that only helps if I read it. Aside from that, things are pretty normal. New growth is looking nice and dark, the two Poison Mimosa are showing some lovely dark colors in the foliage. They give off a smell of fruity, ammonia, a bit of spice. Smells about as I expected. The Sk1 x BP x PT is more subtle it has the same fruity notes, but not a lot else noticeable. My nose has been off with the dry weather anyways. Coming up on day 39, I’m getting nervous the nice smell in my basement will linger upstairs and outside, but no worry yet. Once I harvest these, I have work to do. Move things around to hopefully streamline things, rather than the haphazard nightmare this has been.
A thread with no pics is like a garden without flowers , willing to see them grow …
Well, never one to disappoint…
Ne grow looks fine, hope they will recover, thanks for sharing …
Looking through my seeds trying to figure out what I planted, well I don’t know… One is ABC from the last box, but the other two I can’t figure out. Weird part is I remember messaging this person about this to, but I find no evidence of it… anyways. One is labeled “Blu Berry Harle-Tsu” and the other is labeled “Dub Ott Cherry (CBD)”. I got a few Green Crack with them as well. Wanting to learn more on these two but I’m coming up dry.
The double ought cherry is one of @Sebring 's offerings, at least that’s where I got mine from. It’s listed on his site.
If you go into your messages and click the sent tab you should be able to find the message you sent .
Thanks! I must’ve deleted it from my inbox somehow. @JBow918 is the donor of these two.
Yes I got them from sebring a couple years back if my memory serves me right.
The blueberry x harley tsu I scored from @Guitarzan. Hope they turn out to be some good meds.
Alright, so here we are again, day 44. The odor in encroaching, now covering the whole basement, but I think it should stay in the house. RO filter on the way. Hopefully that’s all that’s needed to give my future plants a better life, surprised how well these turned out after being given such alkaline water.
PLANT ONE- Poison Mimosa, got a long but not great veg. Still going like a trooper
Got some better magnification via a Carson 60x-120x mini microscope. Took a much better look at the trichome heads; I tried to get some shots through my phone camera but couldn’t get the lens close enough to the sensor, only could get a pinhole.
Anyways, was hard to tell since I could only hold the scope at just the right distance a second or two at a time, but it looks like on the two Poison Mimosa they are all crystal clear, and the Sk1 x BP x PT is very clear, maybe a tad cloudy. So looks like she may finish a bit earlier than the other two? We’ll see!
Ok, fuck this microscope nonsense… it takes 5 minutes to get 1 good look. I can’t figure out how to stabilize the whole process short of cutting a leaf off? I am standing over the plant and holding the bud in question in my hand while operating the microscope focus wheel with my other hand and trying to line it all up… oof. I assume a loupe will have better, I forget the exact term, eye relief range? I think this is more indicative of the size of the lens, which makes me concerned about buying a loupe with a similarly tiny lens.
So I don’t know quite the state of the trichomes. They don’t seem amber at all, but I can’t note the difference between clear and cloudy. I plan to cut it around the time they start turn amber, erring on the side of caution.
Sk1 x BP x PT
Poison Mimosa 1
Poison Mimosa 2
I have a clone taken from the Sk1 hybrid that is all but dead? It’s rooted and dark green, but the leaves are limp and brittle. Don’t want to plant more until this is out, then I can rearrange some things and control the environment better. On the upside I am learning plants can survive and awful lot longer in little 2-1/2” pots than I thought. A clone off one of the Poison Mimosa is flourishing. I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised, I’ve kept two cat nip plants in them on the window sill growing for a few months now.
When I use my microscope I cut off a calyx so I can see it better. I find it difficult to read attached to the plant. But all microscopes are different.
Same here too wobbly otherwise.
I use a cheapo chinese scope and snap a popcorn bud, would be impossible to me to try to do it other way, works as a tester too so maybe I repeat it too many unneeded times …
With limited yield over sampling is what I was worried about… maybe once a week? I could afford 2-4… 6 buds per plant if I have to. How do you use the sample (I mean you smoke it, but do you dry? Cure? Hmm… I wonder if there’s a hair straightener around…
Yup dry and smoke usually or forget it laying on the bench for a week then try to remember which plant it was from .
I just keep them in a bowl in my living room and let them dry, 60% humidity and 18-21 ºC, so good conditions for a slow dry, never force drying them as I read it is a no no. I am pretty nervous when harvesting time arrives and don’t want to miss the sweet spot …
Well that worked a charm! I left the bit I cut in a dish for a 3-4 days. Trimmed it up a bit. First of all; this Sk1 x BP x PT is the best smelling flower I’ve had in a while. Very piney and delightful. Even when I asked a non smoker, they said it wast skunky at all much, kinda of piney and musty? “Like a bucket of dirty Pine-sol.” The taste was also notably nice- or should I say more the smoothness of it. Holy shit that was a smooth smoke. And it burned to complete ash… in fact I sucked nearly every bit of ash through my one hitter with very little effort. Notes of pinene, don’t recall anything else particularly (why didn’t I write this when I actually smoked it? Gosh.)
The high was nothing, as expected. I’m still glad I did it- now I know what’ll be on that plant next week, or the week after, will probably be some good shit. That plus my first job interview in a few years which would allow me to throw some money at my next grow… I feel excited guys! This first grow had been fucking rough, thank you so much to those who’ve helped me over these growing pains. Home stretch! I know this topic has been a shit-storm organizationally. Sorry, have plans for that for next grow! Those that stuck it out this whole time earned a special place in my heart.
Will have to update with some pictures this weekend, just wanted to share with you all my first smoke of my first harvest (sort of).
