Do you have enough root space? What is your lighting and nutes? Just want to know because im running Ril sowah and Bubblehead. With my dominion skunks 2 runs ago I had plants in 1 gallon pots that hermed on Mills but I put the same clone in a bigger pot the next year and fed with dragonfly earth meds the second season and got no herms. Same clone. From my experience these ultra hybrids need extreme root space and I kept the floor warm on the non herm run. Oh i also watered only once every 4 days after the hermie episode and that also seemed to help. I was over watering in a too small a container with chemical nutes. The exact opposite of nature.

hermies’ can be caused by many things - first all plants have the “hermie” gene so to say - stress, high heat, ect can cause the gene to surface – growing space (container size), nutrients believe has nothing to do with hermies’ Great looking plants especially for your container size – great grow !!

Their in 2 gallon pots with promix hp, they germed on September 19th, their under bridgelux gen 2 strips, feeding them jetdros jacks schedule and my personal touches, i also flush periodically with florakleen so i also no my ph and ppm were in check, last flush first water out was at 1600 ppm on a 500 scale and a Ph of 5.7 so deffinetly not an issue.

its deffinetly not environmental as ive ran this same setup for a number of grows now and have got no herms and ive been growing for many many years.

Chuck em and move on. All you can do.
At least 75 intersex plants in that lot of 1500.
If I could tell ya who got em I’d be rich.
I’ve also passed out all male packs 3 times that I’ve heard of in 10 years. Glad ya took my advice to keep an eye out 1st run.
Hopefully the guys that get the top 5% were looking for will share.

I ended up with a 5 pack plan on running them shortly. I’m not scared just keep a close eye out and hopefully find a keeper .

Hopefully more people pop these soon, be nice to see some more results aside from mine and another persons from this buy.

Have you received similar reports with the gold packs? Or is this something new from this lot? Have you received any reports of others growing them from this lot yet?

The only other grower i know who popped theirs yet got 100 percent herms, i only have 1 girl left all other girls were herms.

edit.,. since i posted this ive heard positive reports on the gold packs so that’s great news

Hopefully it’s a nice one. Take clones just in case.
Did that guys 100% males herm too? That’s real bad luck. I’m growing these all the time and I only see a couple every once in awhile. I’ve got 2 females in flower from those right now myself.

I believe he said his males looked fine, my males also looked fine but i got rid of them at first sexing

That’s another way we got fucked. All 3 moms were in separate lots. 1 of each Gorilla Bubble pheno.
That would have helped us nail it down. Really sucks losing those first batch…

yeah, that’s unfortunate what occurred, the negative energy probally cursed mine .

i appreciate you getting back to me though.

Don’t let ethos get ahold of the ones you chucked. He will tell ya they are high ethylene males and perfect for breeding. Lol.

If that was me, I’d assume my bad luck is behind me.
That’s a real anomaly.
Also 100% of what number 20 seeds? I think every retail pack had 20 plus.

both their pack and my pack that im refrencing for the herms are from the buy here so both 10 packs.

i do also have a gold pack with 20ish plus but i havnt tried any from it yet :crossed_fingers:. i do have some gorilla bubble bx2 growing though that i got as freebies with it

Ya hugh possess me off. It’d be nice to know which mom pheno is the most trouble.

You probably have a better chance at winning the lottery than getting all herms out the rest of the gold packs.

Hope you can stomach to pop the rest. We know there’s gonna be intersex from the gg4 but hopefully you can judge by the keeper and not the cull.

I’m up front about intersex and I don’t try to blame the grower. I’d just double check all of my controls and keep looking.

Dankcat had an led light that stayed on dimly for hours after it was shut off. I suggest folks go sit in their room when it’s dark and wait 10 or 15 minutes for their eyes to fully adjust and see how dark it is. Most don’t go that far but should especially in tents because every one I’ve owned has had leaks. Even built rooms can sometimes surprise ya. That’s not to you just grow advice in general bro.

I’m not God so all I can do is do my best to make good genetics and be up front with folks. Here’s hoping you find a killer.

Those gold packs used multiple males and females if those are the originals from last year. That keeper mom was reversed for the fem gb that came out this year.
This OG run was an entirely different set of plants.
Not to say youll find an intersex plant but you’ll get the fire your thinking of out of there too so.

I’ll also add the breeding scheme avoided inbreeding depression but they’re usually hungry plants and I’ve seen some sensitivity to high heat, intense light or built up ec which makes it tricky because they’ll be hungry and you’re probably gonna be pushing it to keep em happy, they like going right to the edge but not over.

They do not like being topped and flipped immediately either I’ve found. Even lollipopping I prefer to to 7 to maybe ten days before flipping. When I stress test that’s one of the easier ways I root em out besides root manipulation.

Pm I’ve had a report or two of outside plants but tons of no issues so hard to say there. It was a wet year too.

Nobodies reported budrot.

That’s about the run down.

started to use an "inoculant: promix has one - at present use Dynomyco (incoulant) helps root development - Thanks for your informartion !!!

I have to admit, as you started the GG4 RIL Grow Show seed run, I was expecting your GG4 RIL beans to be stable, with virtually zero hermi issues after you answered this question from @Seamonkey84

But after seeing @Chronickyle’s results, and hearing about the other grower who got a high hermi rate from the same batch we all got, I’m afraid to pop them now :grimacing:. Perhaps I’m even more gun shy because I’ve just had a majorly disappointing hermi experience with a full pack of Junky Seed Genetics’ Wedding Cake.

One thing is for sure - if I do pop them, I’ll be extra vigilant to keep an eye out for hermies, and thank the grow gods if I get a keeper lady out of the pack. It only takes one!

Just flipped my RIL gold packs. 8 plants.
Will find out in a couple of week.
I picked up cheap blackout curtains on amazon to cover the light leaks in my crappy iPower tent.
-A while back I was doing something low on the outside of the tent; when I glanced up the tent was looking like the night sky in the Nevada desert.
-Dozens and dozens of micro pinholes.

For what it’s worth I’ve grown out 4 females from a gold 2020 RIL pack and a friend of mine has grown out 2 with no intersex issues, males were culled early though.
