Tropicanna Poison F1 Fast Version - first diary

I just learned about the squish test, to determine if they are hollow. I lost about 15% I would guess, but hopefully it was all the duds. I have grown out 2 from that batch so far with no issue.

I can smell it through my phone lol

Feeding day, few more shots. Added some mosquito bits to the reservoir, since I was seeing some fungus gnats buzzing around the net pots.

Also got the first root shot from the babies

Nice work man!!
I’m intrigued by any fast versions since I grow outdoors in a northern climate… always hunting for stuff that finishes quick… anyways, thanks for sharing!:v:t3:

Thanks. Week 5F started on Monday. I keep telling myself it has a long time left, to help keep from being impatient

Cool… I’ll be watching!

I’ve been interested in this and the red hot cookies, mostly due to the strong red color shown in the pictures on the site, would you say you have seen that or more of a purple/pink? Maybe it takes the right pheno or conditions for the bright red?

There is definitely variance in the shades, but I haven’t anything as bright as the pictures they use. I was originally going to get the red hot cookies, but they were not in stock when I ordered. I didnt take great pictures of the first one I grew out, which I regret. So far, everything has been a shade of purple.

Thanks for the love, everyone. I love them, too. A few times throughout the day, I find myself standing there, just staring at them. I need to fix the lighting schedule so most of the dark is during my sleep. lol

Heyyo I was reading back through, and was wondering, do you do your full grow with aeroponics, or do you move them to a different system after they are rooted? I had been debating making an aeroponic cloner, but since I usually have success with my current process, I wasn’t sure if it was necessary.

So I take them from the 5 gallon bucket once they’re all well rooted and I move to either small pots for growing in soil, and/or move those that I plan to finish in a hydro setup into a much larger aeroponics system.

Here’s the bigger tub:

This is what they look like when I make the transfer:

And this is what they look like just before I move them to their final location in my ebb and flow buckets:

These are those same plants after 1 or 2 days in the buckets:

That’s really cool. Thank you for sharing it.

At the very least, I know I would like to rebuild my system, so I have been exploring this sort of stuff

Thanks!

I’ll be honest - I like “inexpensive” and “simple” and “easy to maintain” and “cheap to build” when it comes to growing. When I’m able to combine all those things into one setup - I stick with it!

I agree with you there. I made my first DWC from instructions on the internet, and have since seen a few improvements I could make.

I am not 100% sure I want to stick with DWC, especially now that I am considering how to configure a 6 plant perpetual grow. I have a schedule that I wanted to follow when I was only focused on fem beans, but I want to try some reg seeds too, so I need to plan an alternate schedule for that.

On that note, I would really like to know when my state considers a plant a legal “plant”. I would assume as soon as a cutting roots, or a bean pops, but that makes working with regs more difficult when staying within the 6 limit.

6? Sounds like Illinois, here in IL it’s 8“. Where they measure from I don’t know, I’d assume the medium. So basically anything other than seedlings and clowns.

I hope it works like that here in AZ too, that would make making sure I take enough clones easier. Still need to figure out a different rotation for working with regs. This was my plan when I only intended to use fems:

granted those months are estimates, this was just for me to visually plan what I wanted to do. The fem bean itself is/was going to be flowered normally, and the clones were for seed runs.
