The plant on the left, which is most of what you see there, was accidentally snapped in half at the split of the first topping location. After it recovered from that, I super cropped all the of the main stems on both plants.
The one on the left took this as a challenge and tried to take over the tent, while the plant on the right decided it wanted to stay low and bushy. I am not sure if that is due to inconsistency in my technique, or the fact that it is still splitting its energy /8 where the other plant is only /4.
I had also been giving them silica from seed to transition. Someone mentioned that most people start that later, so early training is easier, so I know that for next time.
Each plant also has a stunted branch from CS spraying.

Learned a few things from other OG’ers today. Going to see if I can clone/reveg these, if I can find some cuttings on both. I know I see a few on the bigger one, but I may have hacked the other away too much. Started checking ppm, currently 1.522. That is a little over the chart I was linked here: General Hydroponics – Grow indoor. Grow outdoor. Grow with us. but I am adding CalMag, Silica, Hydroguard, and MOAB on top of the GH 3 part.

*For clarification: I have been spraying CS in hopes of this occurring, so we are happy about this pic. haha

Hmm… looks like you cut some of the tips, but not others and not cut as much of the tip as I’ve seen before; just curious if there was any reason? I took my last cuttings without cutting the tips at all, and they’ve rooted well so far.

If I missed any tips, it was accidental. I may not be correct, but my understanding is you only want to damage it slightly, so no energy is expended on trying to grow those leaves, but you still want it mostly there to do its solar panel thing. Anyone with more experience is more than welcome to chime in and correct me, if I my understanding is not correct. I always appreciate it.
edit - Just to add on, I usually leave them in the shot glasses while the dome is closed, but then take them out and prop them up between those shot glasses, once I open the vents. I cut the rapid rooters vertically, to make sure I could get them snug without wiping off the root gel and powder, so I have to help keep them closed until they start to root.

Yes, as I understood it you want to defoliate along the stem to keep the energy demands low; so you only have a couple leaves up top. What I read was cutting the tips was to promote transpiration. Who knows, either one makes sense to me.

I just hope one from each roots, and grows a little new veg. As soon as they stabilize, my plan is to flip them flower right away, and hit them with pollen from my current run. I hope to get seeds from my current run as well, this is just kind of a backup / additional project to hopefully learn a thing or 2. If neither work out, I can always go back to looking for a US seedbank with Sweet Seeds, lol

This strain really intrigued me, it supposed to be a red or pink bud, right?

Thanks I agree, that was most of the reason I went back to it, even knowing the last run didn’t produce a whole lot.
