Using a coin flip and a hose washer to mail seeds

POSTAL DRUG ABUSE!

So I was sent some awsome genetics from a very kind gentleman. After he shipped those another person he sent seed to reported they had arrived crushed. So being a hard-core OVERGROW member he went ahead and shipped more in a Microcentrifuge container think they’ll make it for sure. As would I. As you can tell from the photos this is not the case. It looks like some poor bastard was having a shitty day and too it out of our package. It was the Microcentrifuge taped to the inside of 4 pieces of paper folded up in the letter. And the sad thing is he seems more upset about it then I am. He sent these to me free of charge no questions asked. And offering to send me more seeds. What a guy!
Moral of the story is dont send your seeds this way folks!

I had the same thing happen to me:

I posted abut this in another thread here. Those were in a padded bubble wrap envelope. Luckily, the person I bought the seeds from was more than generous about replacing them.

I have never had any of the seeds that I sent in a coin flip get crushed, however I have sent seeds in coroplast that were crushed.

I had a few in the coroplast end up smashed. But never in the coin flip/washer. I’ve also never had any in the vials smashed but those have all been sent in mailers. If they are put in a regular envelope they are almost certain to crack going through a sorting machine.

I too have received crushed seeds in both the tubes and coroplast sheets. So far I’ve had luck sending them with a layer of bubble wrap. But the last round I sent out were also brought into the post office and stamped non machinable. I just got my coin flips and rubber washers.

I wanted to figure out how much money sending seeds from Ontario, Canada to various places is gonna cost… AND from buying supplies from Amazon.ca (Same as supplies linked in 1st post of this thread) & buying stamps, Not including the envelopes…

With 100 pcs coin flips left over.

Ordered everything needed.

Just lost a pack of seeds i was sending to someone. Priority package. Showed up to his area. Travelled around his area for a week or so and then came back to my mailbox. End of the of box had been opened and taped back up. Return to sender sticker. Pack of seeds missing. Worst part is they were a amnesia haze and orange gogi cross jetdro made that are irreplaceable. The USPS sucks balls.

WOW… that’s seriously terrible

Yea it sucks. It makes me look bad to the recipient of those seeds i feel. (Which i plan to send him a pack of something good out of my stash to make up for this) and it makes me wonder if the package was tampered with or if it got crushed and the contents lost. It sure does look like it was opened and not crushed.

Iv had usps open a package I sent once and they took a 1/3rd of the seeds repackaged and resent. The recipient did get what was left

start printing small OG ads to send in your mail. We need that USPS employee on here in the community, so they don’t need to steal seeds xD

With as overwhelmed as the USPS is I doubt they have the time to rip open mail and look for seeds. I send all sorts of plant seeds out, not just canna. Maybe they suspect money or other valuables are in there and are like “wtf are these?” Then just trash them. Most people don’t even know what pot seeds look like. I’ve heard stories of money and gift cards being stolen from cards before.

I’ll be ordering them next month. I never seen a logo on a coin flip. Great idea

Haha glad you like it bro. I know most people put the sticker on the packaging normally. But its gonna be cool to have it right on the coin flip itself and gives it a new flavor… Have you posted the design anyplace? Maybe people could :+1: the design for ya
