Vegetable Garden 2021

Famous last words: Should have caged the tomatoes lol lost the first four we planted to surprise frost, we thought… After we replanted more tomatoes, the others revegged and came back to life so no it’s a problem haha

All my bell peppers, the red peppers already have a couple little ones going. One yellow and way too many green lol also the mini pumpkin plant in the corner

Picked quite a few jalapenos already this year

Habanero plants have a few peppers, waiting for them to turn and the little jolokia pepper is still figuring stuff out lol

Cucumber are going a little crazy but doing good, taken two already this year

Green beans are looking good too

Then I went and planted watermelon and cantaloupe cuz why not? Lol they need to start vining so I can direct them

Also strawberries that need to start running… Handful of those already too

It’s looking good, Phil! I like your furry garden sentinel - what’s his/her name? I’m with you on the rain - it’s literally like magic. Can water all day long and the garden stays “okay” but when that rain comes, the next 24-48 hours and it’s going to get really good! :raised_hands::raised_hands::man_dancing:

Thank you, heres a garden hack…if garden is wet and don’t want mud to be caked on you footwear use plastic grocery bags, right now I’m wearing flip flops…we still need more rain…I picked 2 more zucchinis.

I also push the nutes on my garden plants, check out the leaf curl on this tomatoe plant…just like pot some tomato strains can handle more nutes then others…I’m growing 4 different strains, this is the San Marzano.

I’m going with sunscald. Are those leaves facing the south west?

South east, if it is sun scald what are the chances of bouncing back?

We have a large vegetable garden again this season and planning ahead. My wife was at a Walmart, and they were giving seeds away she got a few lol.

I hope y’all are not in the “water your foundation” territory.

Oh yah well sunscald doesn’t recover. The recommendation is to cut off the damage, and shade the plant a bit from the sun. Frost blanket blocking the sun direction would probably work.

Yes, it’s not gonna bounce back…but the other 3 are doing fine and producing fruits…I kinda wonder why they didn’t get sun scald?
