Yea it’s good to let the Ph drift slightly, as some nutrients are better/more readily available at certain Ph’s than others. Here’s a chart for soil and another for hydro.

Advanced nutrients ph perfect. (Sensi or connoisseur) will absorb nutrients at that entire range. But typically. If you’re running ro. It will buffer to 5.7-5.8. iv ran 7.8 tap and had success as well. Just gotta cut your mixture way down to account what’s already in the tap. Otherwise you’ll burn
