Welcome to the Jungle

What light is this? I heard LEDs help keep plants compact.

Ohhh I have a few hidden treasures for the Mexican run, are we counting Central America too??

It’s one of those 12 x 24 Black Forest panels and yes it keeps nodes close in veg, didn’t realize I missed it til it went out a week ago.

Central America would be fine! I’m giving my vintage Mexican from GLG to @Guitarzan for the run, and that is an open pollination of old Mexican and South American genetics. Can’t wait to see what you pull out of the Hat.

How many watts is that, how many square feet can it cover, and what was the price tag? Currently I have one of those fluorescent 8 bulb deals for veg. T8’s maybe? 32 watts a bulb. That works very well, and does keep the nodes rather stacked, but if I could cut down on the electric that would be great.

Wanna say it was on close out for 60.00
I was running T-5 and they veg great . I use this just for the plants that want to stretch in veg.

T5 yes. T12 is the old one with 40 watt and t5 is newer, less watts and more lumens right? It is a good light for starting. Being that I want to grow some long flowering Indian sativas, it might be a good investment to get the LED to keep down the stretch a bit

NICE!! I would love to see the Zacatecas tribute especially. Supposed to be a wonderful High. They all sound wonderful though and I cant wait to see them grown. I have an Indian sativa that is supposed to look a lot like Acapulco Gold in flowers and growth pattern.

The T5 HO tubes are rather interesting, they are 54 watts & 6500 Kelvin.

Had problems with t-5 blowing ballast when I used the HO bulbs. Lot easier to keep the heat down, HPS in veg is killing me. Want to break down and make an LED for veg room.

Ok this was the rest of my day before I could play with plants…just have marble edges to do on the new soapstone counters.

few clones of the triple Durban trying to see how small a cut will take. New sprouts to check germination before the Chocolate Thai Drop. Received first batch yesterday other two should be here this week.

Went to knock living soil off three 3- gallon pots and this is all the loose soil that came off perfect hair ball mold of the pots with no rootbound conditions plants were between 4-6’ tall.

Some testers of 5 day sealed cure on Black Pearl and Panama Red down to about 70RU cut down and jarred. Will ease it down to 60 for storage.

The Maui will be ready for pot and soil this weekend and a flip to 12/12 slowly.
Got them seed to flower under a month with one topping. Now to boost up nutes, air and smaller bubbles. (More fuel, more oxygen, faster ignition???) this run is Blue Lights and Jack The Ripper x White Gold…at day 6 from soak with rooting nutes…bumping up urban farm to 1/3 strength in hydro and co-co

I’ve been experimenting with cutting cubes and pods in half do roots get through media mass and to the water faster. Last pick is uncracked seed suspended in 1/2 Rockwool pod for germination. Not faster but interesting.

Hah! Ok I said I was gonna stop in on your thread and I am so glad I did, even if it took me a while to get caught up. I love what you’ve got going on in here man, definitely my kind of vibe, and it is so nice to see someone else going for crazy vertical builds.

Can’t wait to see how that can-traption comes together, if not for plant numbers I’d love to run a vertical SOG with tiny plants in my cab. I’ve got a whole idea worked out with columns of 3" plumbing y’s stacked with sprayers at the top.

Getting some serious sativa envy over here as well, and wishing I could run some outdoors. I’ve never done outside, really hoping to some day.

Anyhow, great show, I’ll be watching for sure!

Here’s my outdoor ladies yesterday at 42N 6” clones in on 5/1 and 5/15…can-traption, love it, since UFO is already taken. That will have to wait until I run the Chocolate Thai 3 way genetics for seed. Thinking of letting the wife loose on the Can, Whole point is a med grow self contained for 2 clones. That an amateur grower can. Use with 1 part nutes…

This is exactly what I am trying to figure out for a bunch of my friends. Simple idiot proof cabs one part ph stable feeds, no meters just measuring spoons.

I’ve been running a small test with Future Harvest EasyGrow and Easy Bloom, in no small part because I have a connection on a good price for it. First small cab run went great in coco and fabric pots. I’ll get pics up in my thread eventually!

Ok guys have been asking about the mini DWC so I will post construction of final unit here.

Opaque rectangular flower pot or bin ( depending on number of cups) I can get 15-19 in the stackable bins I got on sale from Menards for 12.00 US.

Plastic candy jars, are available online, same place I got centrifuge tubes for seeds. About a buck a piece 28oz fit 3” mesh cups perfect

Air manifolds depending on how many jars I’ll use two 8 valve manifolds.

Fish tank air pump or compressor

1/8” clear tube, T fittings, anti back flow one way filters ( with some valves)

Hydro or fish tank air stones , I found 3” round online that should fill jar bottom.

I’ll also be running air lines from remote compressor for mine to be able to swap into veg/flower with just a quick air coupling and plug. Will also let me run multiple units with adjustable air flow.![image|666x500](upload://u9316o5yllotCyZLks6jrCK0PuD.jpeg) ![image|666x500](upload://1XsnjbqnLJeqbYP8NdHa3tNWf9V.jpeg) ![image|666x500](upload://u7VCbeGH0aZnAEWHLhQZniGtOqT.jpeg) ![image|375x500](upload://mFLwxFm95gnckeokN98MnWBhI73.jpeg) ![image|375x500](upload://myxz6tmzVxwnB1cnvKB8iDNklrU.jpeg) ![image|375x500](upload://n5NwmLJL4JtfryC49MiEVaGtAaq.jpeg) ![image|666x500](upload://yU3zjDZXhhgCPctIkTIS8sSHpEJ.jpeg) ![image|666x500](upload://aERsIVVqTxcouUq1Fost37owzJN.jpeg)
