I know I paid some forward, the TGXC99 and MD for sure…I think I gave 4 each away. I have 5 of each remaining, maybe 6 of one pack as there is one really small seed in there…let’s call it 5.

The Purple Moby Dick, looks really interesting as a strain. Nice write-up on Leafly on it. Unopened so I don’t know the exact count, but I think it is around 10.

This has been their home since receipt.

It’s a little germination chamber. It was given to me a long time ago by some great friends!

Something in there is going to become ‘homeless’, IF I do decide to germinate in there. They used it successfully.

BUT, the OG Kush is tuggin’ at my coattails!

I’d like another shot at that TDXC99, though!

I’m going to try and get a little side job done in between Garden 3 2023 Germ preparations, including finishing the loft (where I’m heading when I post this) and placing them in some medium…something I have been putting off for a very long time.

I’m tired of taking Crowers (crouching showers). Years of Crowers.

I’m going to try to make something quick even if it’s jerry-rigged.

I want to make a bentwood shower curtain rod. This bathroom situation creates some building challenges. It’s a Cloakroom. 2 massive windows on one side and large original 1924 built-in shelving on the other. Cement walls (lath and stucco). A 12ish foot ceiling, that is also the original 1924 Tin Ceiling, the only full tin ceiling that remains.

The bentwod project won’t be going any time soon, as I can figure at this time (subject to change). I have some ideas.

IF not bentwood, maybe laminating plywood into a shower curtain rod. I have decided on a circular shower curtain rod regardless the shape of the over-sized tub. I’d like to put in a proper standing shower, maybe curb-less even. Maybe, someday…

I think I’m going to use some 1 inch I.D. hydroponic tubing as the loop. I saw some of mine here and the idea struck me. It can be fairly rigid and properly supported it should do the job (framed in). I’m not sure it will work. If nothing else it will be a prototype. Moving the ball down the field, even if feebly!

In the mean time I’ll mull over my choices.

While I have been looking at those beans it had me wondering IF that is included in our “Limits”? Do they count seeds?

This will be my first time to work in the Loft since my injury. Man, that was messed up. All that getting up, getting down, crouching all the while in that wrongly built Loft. I’ve traveled through it hundreds of times getting to the attic. Everything is just as I left it!

Oh, when I first thought about adding a shower setup here, I did a bunch of research…days and days of it. It was probably the first thing I wanted to do here, so years of thinking, pondering, researching…etc.

There nearest I can get with buying most of the pre-made, manufactured parts (separately because no one makes a shower setup for this bathroom setup) it was over $400. Bits of this kit, bits of that kit.

There is no way I’m paying $400 for a shower setup, not now, not ever! I’ll make one a be happy about it!

UNLESS, I do remodel the bath and put in a curb-less shower with a floor drain. The massive window right there remains an issue.

I’m open to ideas. Maybe you’ve done something similar and don’t mind sharing it. I’m keen to listen.

I can’t go through the tin ceiling. Never a consideration.

Maybe one of those old milk glass classroom lights would work directly above the shower. You know, the big ones…like 18 inches in diameter? One of those might actually look good in the Vestibule (behind a ‘new’ arched window above the ‘new’ entrance) That style would probably suit the theme although electricity was never installed here, so they never existed in the school’s time.

Just looking at things on that tall wall, the East wall, again, and again!

I’m putting that mold resistant drywall I got some my sister’s burned out rubble on that wall.

Well, that drywall is 48 inches…unless things have changed that much since I last look at any!

This is the lower section of that tall wall. 3 pieces of it anyway. No, don’t ask me how! That’s rude!

This is where 48 inches falls from both ends towards the middle.

5-5/8ths inches remains uncovered.

They built a stinkin’ 8 foot wide wall 8 foot FIVE AND ONE HALF INCHES wide!

I’m going to use the 48 inches on the right. I’ll have to take out that Rockwool from there and above there, 2 quadrants I installed trying to make sense of that mess, and put a 2 short nailers in.

Man, I should have taken that wall down and rebuilt it. Huge mistake!

I mean, once it’s done it’s done, but GEEZZZ getting there!

I’m going to have to make a wood trim piece for the nearest corner. I think it will blend in with the tongue and groove it will live next to. However, it looks like they trimmed those ends of those boards with a machete! It’s ugly. You can see some in the first image.

Also, I have not solved the A/C issue downstairs.

All I can think about is maybe it’s having to push that air 12 foot up and out some 15 foot or so, a few foot more once I take it to the eave…it may not be exhausting well enough.

Maybe a booster fan would help with that, maybe.

I sure can’t afford another $500+ A/C unit.

I have time for that, luckily…but I do have to do some, even if that means putting one of the smaller (smaller in BTU output) in there. I do, certainly have to get it worked out before I need it!

I was considering adding a CO2 system. I should forgo that purchase until I get the A/C working AND find out how my finances are going to settle out. It is something I would like to add.

Oh, dang. I forgot. I have a Spaghetti Sunday dinner date in the “City” tomorrow. I’ll use the trip to finish my DirecTV (AT&T) agreement - turn in their old equipment. Something else on my way back…what was it!!! Oh, potential supplies, maybe. I know I’m running out of my 3 inch deck screws.

I’d try the vertigo treatment again, it seems like there are no side effects so the worst it can do is nothing. Man, I fell down the stairs because it was a sheet of ice, ohh it’s good to have a freezer full of concentrates when that happens!

They’re going to size me up for spit, a barbecue spit!

Probably not as delicious as that may sound!

So, yeah, it looks like it can return. That sucks on ice!

Surgery is also an alternative, it turns out. But they’re talking about physically blocking those channels. That does not sound like the best way to have this turn out.

Well, that was a day!

Delicious Spaghetti Sunday and Cherry Pie to boot! I brought some of both back to the Schoolhouse with me!

I don’t know what I was thinking. I went to Walmart expecting to find a large choice of deck screw options.

I left empty handed, of hardware, anyway…

Honey and Jemon Juice did make the cut!

I’ve been out of lemon juice for more than a few days. I don’t make single, one item trips like that. Let’s make a worthwhile trip of it!

Honey has gone up quite a bit since I started using it regularly.

Man, prices get bigger and bigger and the bags are emptier and emptier!

Oh, I didn’t need any but, I bought some Johnsonville HOT Italian Sausage. There were out of it for at least a month, maybe more … and I’d buy some when I saw it whether I needed it right then or not.

As much as I’d like to, I can’t make my own sausage, and it better be good sausage!

I grabbed one of their bags in the meat department, you know the “Open Here” bags on those stands?

I couldn’t get it open so I freed both hands to give it a good working over! No go. Come on, it’s a thin plastic bag!

I decide to try the other end, the opposite end opposite the “Open Here” labels. It opened, just like it should have ON THE OTHER END!

I dropped my selection in the reverse opened bag and the package of Johnsonville sausage hit the floor.

I tried several more bags, they were mostly bad…I think I got a couple working bags out of all the bags I pulled off the roll.

Being the conscientious citizen and fellow shopper, I grabbed a worker and explained it to him. He checked things out and agreed, something was definitely wrong with that roll of bags.

I did not want what happened to me to happen to another single shopper…especially the elderly or less than fully able. The roll wasn’t full but it wasn’t nearly empty, either.

It seems the machine got out of sync and made the perforations in the wrong place, about 1/8 inch off.

He brought it to a manager’s attention, one just happened to be walking by at that moment.

I got back to what I was doing and sort of 1/2 way paying attention, but not really.

The employee recommended to the manager my recommendation to take that roll off the stand and do something else with it even if that meant throwing away.

As I was walking away, after going down to the next bag stand for at least one more good bag, and I heard him tell the kid, “put it out with the recycling”.

I turned and said “Great idea” as I continued on my way. The manager did say thank you as I continued walking. That was nice of him.

What a weird thing to happen. The bag bit, not the employee/manager bit!

Okay…not sure what I can get done tonight, but I’m going to try and get something done.

3 hours later…(probably 4 by now)

I made a mistake, followed the briefly written “instructions”.

They told me to unhook the router, power and ethernet. I did.

Since the only router that was plugged was the router I was replacing. I unplugged it.

I followed the instructions and started hooking the new one up.

Turned it all on and it didn’t work.

I went searching for better instructions for this router
I didn’t find a lot.

I did find a video on their site that showed me that I need the old router to set up the new.

That’s not even near what’s in their 2 pages of instructions and most of that was images.

So, I tried reconnecting their router back in and now I can’t get it working.

I’ve tried and tried and tried. They recommend a 10 to 15 minute waiting for it to boot.

After failure and failure and failure…I decided to go look at their antenna on the exterior wall. I noticed the other day, in the daylight, I could easily see a green light nearest the door.

Wow!

I’m on my phone.

It’s making resize my images even though this one, the one I’m trying to upload now (second image), is mostly entirely black.

No light, even though clearly visible in the day.

I think they shut it off…

Hey friend! Sitting in the hotel hot tub. Their beds aren’t the most comfy. Need a good soak so I can move. if your a Costco member, you can get an awesome inflatable hot tub for 299.00 Bucks, and totally worth it.

I read through all those messages from earlier. It was another long trip, and in the mess of leaving, I totally left my wallet at home. It’s only 10 hours away. Haha.
But we made it home from the last visit over Christmas, and now we’re back. It’s been rough. At least it wasn’t blizzard conditions the whole way. Hoping to head home Wednesday or Thursday. Can’t afford to miss too much work.

And speaking of Johnsonville, I guess there was a brat fest recently next door to this hotel. Looks like fun, even though making sausage was one of the things that turned me on to being vegetarian when I was younger.
