Now where was I?
Oh, yeah…where, of where, can my Pro Pump Model 275 female threaded end to female slip-fit end coupler possibly be???
The “Oh, that’s where I put it!” saga!
Oh, right where I put it knowing I’d need it the next time I needed to use Cloning Machine II! (the one on the top of the picture. I don’t remember at this moment what the one in the lower portion of the image is or used for )
IF one were to look back on my Cloning Machine II pictures one would likely see it there!
Something I should have ‘probably’ done!
Back to bidness!
I ‘think’ (pretty sure, it’s the best solution I’ve conjured, so far! ) I’m going to remove the EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) and mount it in the ceiling joist cavity. Depending of what it is finally used for, it ‘may’ be the best location.
When I took the image below, it was fresh…my 3rd large tea with honey…
I’m now on my 4th! Don’t judge!
Whoever it was that suggested hot tea with honey to me a few months ago when I was deathly ill should know that I am now addicted! I haven’t touched my Espresso Machine since then!
Lights properly installed…
Reservoir filled to the crook in the body of the Vivosun pump. Probably less liquid than as ever been used in it. I may have to raise the level, I’m not sure.
And, finally…in this update…
The Acurite Remote Sensor I was looking for…
My path up to the loft is in between the end of the handrail and the EMT on the wall.
That might explain to some people, that needed a better understanding, how low the ceiling is up there!
I do hit the Attic Ladder Handle in the right of the picture EVERY time I go up there!

@Rhino_buddy, IF you do decide not to take the 1890 Seth Thomas Model 14 Size 6 Grade 46 Ladies Pocket Watch I’ll start the refurbishment of it.
You can watch the progress (pun intended ) from afar…that is virtually the same as owning it!
That’s what I would do. With the prices I saw on the sites I think it would be more possible for me.

I did find out more information on the 1890 Seth Thomas Model 14 Size 6 Grade 46 Ladies Pocket Watch last night.
I read everything I was presented with. From the start of my mentioning it here there were terms, characterizations and descriptions I was not familiar with.
One of those things I was ignorant of was “Lever” in the “Setting” columnS.
I just happened across this video…I was watching it just to gain more insight into this watch. Just more information generally and I never expected to discover this feature. I didn’t come across this information in all the reading/viewing I’ve done since I brought her out of hibernation.
He mentions, then describes, then shows what that is all about.
I never knew what the depression in the case was…I assumed it was for some internal mechanism but I had no idea what.
It is the “Lever” that allows “Setting” the hands to the correct time.
Ain’t that something! The more you know!
It does work. I pulled the “Lever” out and turned the stem and the hands moved as they should. You can see the hands have moved when compared to the previous pictures.
That indicates to me that what ever it is that is preventing this watch from working is not in the internal mechanisms that physically move the hands, the hands are free to do their job.
I did take a closer look at the internals last night, and I think I did know this all along, the “Balance Wheel” is free-floating and wonky. The “Hairspring” does not look to be connected.
But IF that is the only thing wrong with it that’s preventing it from working, since the hands do nicely move as they should, it wouldn’t be as bad as I have thought all along.
I tried to use BOTH of the Digital Microscopes on it to get an even better look at it and I couldn’t get either of them to work!
I have learned more about this beauty in the past several days than I knew in the previous several decades I have cared for it!
And, THANK YOU to EVERYONE that has assisted in that knowledge! I appreciate it!

It belongs with you my friend. As much as I’d love to take that off your hands, I’d feel like I was stealing it from you. I wouldn’t have time to do any work on it for quite some time. Just got finished with the seed fair, and that drummed up quite a bit of business for us. Now I’m going to be spending all my time replying to emails and texts from potential clients. That said, I won’t complain if you leave it to me in your will. By that time I should have plenty of time to sit around and play with tiny mechanisms. I’m no whoreologist, although I do know a guy that wears those loupes that pull down over your glasses. He’s an incredible jeweler and such a steady hand. I need to touch base with him. He gave me my first HPS ballast in like 1996. We took it from the mall supply closet. Hahah!
Anyway, you’ll have a great time fixing that thing up for me.
Just got finished with the seed fair, and that drummed up quite a bit of business for us.
That’s awesome, man! Good for you and the miss’s! Sounds like a prescient business venture, especially now - with the supply chain problems and with folks hoping to build a more sustainable, self-sufficient life.
IF you let me have your details when we meet, I’d be quite happy knowing it’s going to a good home.
I’ve been meaning to get me a Magnifying Visor. I used to use one all the time when I was Machining. They’re really quite handy.
Anyway, you’ll have a great time fixing that thing up for me.
I’ve already started …
Below is just from rubbing on it with my thumb for just a few minutes…
To be honest, I have been inspired by just looking at it, holding it again.
Thanks for reigniting my interest! For the longest time I thought having it fixed would cost way too much. I don’t think that any more after seeing the prices on https://americantimekeeper.com/.
I’ll start seriously looking at sending it in, even if it’s just for an evaluation, for sure when I get the Veg system set up and possibly after I get Cloning Machine II doing some work
I’m still puzzled by what the case art represents. I’m wondering IF it is a Wedding Arch.
It doesn’t look ‘generic’ to me.
I upset the gentleman I was communicating with about it. He just misunderstood me when I thought it must be specific to some event/occasion. That was before he told me it was generic.
I said I thought it was specific, he then said “Yours is indeed completely generic; whether you choose to believe otherwise is up to you”.
I apologized for seeming to be argumentative. I was not in any way arguing. I was offering my ‘opinion’.
Btw, I’ve been trying to respond for a couple of hours now. I’ve been wrestling with my PC now. More specifically FireFox. It shut down on its own at least 4 times consecutively before I was finally allowed to respond!
Wrestling with the Android to PC Your Phone app wasn’t enough, I guess! .
I need to get some finishing touches done on Cloning Machine II, rotary file the electrical plug hole in the lid and put the baskets and pucks in…then off to bed.
I have an early up in the AM and probably a pretty long day - picking up the Rockwool insulation to complete the under-loft Bloom Room (except for exterior wall covering, not sure what I’ll do there) and the 30 gallon barrels and at least 2 3 wheelers (and their assorted parts…I didn’t really look that closely at them when I was there last). I want to be back here before dark. We’ll see!
Good morning, my friend…and all you others!
Make it a great day!

The symbol on your watch looks very similar to a Shinto Tori Gate without the arched top.
Though “generic” for those particular watches symbols almost always have a meaning to the artists rendering the image.
Perhaps this symbolizes your gateway to time in the artists mind………
Or the foundation of that gateway.
I think you are right about it being specific.
That’s a hand engraving, the wreath like details are generic but that cross bar is not (IMO).
Maybe hinting at initials? (tt or H) but I’ve never seen it done that way… The watch restorer will know.
I’m glad you are going to have it looked after.
Very cool video of the restored watches, fascinating the various fast slow adjustment locks. Really liked that Japanese watch.
Cheers

That’s an interesting interpretation, brother!
I especially like…

Interesting possibilities, for sure, my friend!
Yeah, I didn’t get into rehabilitating it earlier because of what “I” assumed the cost might be. But, that was a very long time ago.
I ‘think’ I was advised of the costs way back then, but I’m not entirely sure of that recollection. I wouldn’t swear to it
And, yes, I would have not even known that “Lever” was even there - I was aware of the recess - without the vast resources available in this 21st Century, and the last part of the previous…until the watch restorer made me aware of it, that is!
I was jazzed just seeing the hands move as they should even though it was WHAB powered!
Thanks, brother!

My day was blown!
Lowe’s emailed me EARLY THIS morning that the order has been delayed.
That was after I woke up hours before my alarm was set to go off.
I tried to get some more rest - my second rest session is normally my best rest…not today. I got up more exhausted than before I laid back down.
I’ve been sitting here trying to convince myself to devise a way where I could get a nap here in my office chair. My eye lids were/are heavy. But, I’ve just never been able to rest sitting up. Almost 100% of the time.
But, I want to do some minor work on my car. Check fluids, check air…etc.
And, if you recall, my rear left [right, not left] light assembly filled with water a few months ago. I’m still amazed at how full it was.
I’m fairly certain this was the culprit.
That design directed water coming down the drainage ‘trough’ and directed the water precisely above the socket in the light assembly. Maybe the rubber on the 1/4 turn socket that holds that light bulb in place and also seals it has deteriorated to a point of loosening the seal. There is no visible evidence of that. But, water certainly entered the housing there.
There was evidence of prior water movement on the back side of light assembly housing. The trail was very easy to see. Water has been taking that path as a river charts its course in the land. It was obvious.
I’m going to get in there and get the bulb contact points greased up, finally. I bought the dielectric grease with this first happened, months ago. I ‘may’ apply some silicone to that top section of those sockets.
Then, I have been dealing with a wonky remote door lock and alarm key fob for several years. It’s the original 2002 key fob. It’s be very frustrating at many times over those many years.
A couple of years ago I discovered that I could rub the circuit board contacts for the door lock and get it working. I’m out there taking the remote key fob apart, rubbing the contacts and it would work.
I’ve been doing that for so many years it’s ridiculous! In the fridge cold. In the pouring rain.
I’ve been contemplating what to do about it for that entire time!
I’ve done the research. They’re pretty costly from the manufacturer. They’re too damn cheap in the knock-off market.
I’ve read that programming replacement key fobs is a right PIA!
I started researching Programming 2002 Camaro Z28 Replacement Remote Key Fob on that vast resource mentioned above - YouTube.
Just the other day I just happened to come across one that hinted to a Hack Repair, while I was searching for a totally different search term.
It seems almost crazy to think it would work. But, I was just about to spend money on a new one. I’ve had enough.
I experienced exactly what the guy in the video experienced. Repeatedly. For Several Years!
It got to the point where I quit even trying to pop the trunk from the key fob. I’d have to unlock my door, after giving the circuit board a deep message, and then hit the trunk release button under the dash.
IT WORKED!!!
It hasn’t worked this well since it was new nearly exactly 20 years ago now.
CRAZY Hack!

We do need to get together for lunch soon! Regardless of anything else. Just sharing a meal is one of the best ways to get together and appreciate friendship.
I agree that that design is unlikely a generic one. Someone had intentions while creating that, even if it’s just a hitching post, artists most always had a deeper meaning behind their work, especially back then.
That’s awesome that you’ve already started working on it. It’s totally something that would be fun to investigate and mess with. That timekeepers site is incredible! I spent quite some time just looking at intricacies of all the old tyme watches.
As for sleep, I hope you can get some soon. I e been so restless lately, with so much to do. Hope I can crash well tonight. Got a big old prairie to burn tomorrow!
You are training the Fire Department?
Snow (Winter weather) is all that’s holding it up. Let’s find a date suitable to us both (including your wife IF that is your intention). The Driving Season is nigh. You have a little bit harsher weather on your end and I wouldn’t want you out on the roads I wouldn’t drive on, my friend!
As for the case art. There has to be a specific meaning behind it, as you say.
Our friend, @Oldjoints suggestion is a good one!
I get this impression…
A simple, rustic wedding arch (not an arch, not sure of the vernacular).
But, my referring to it as a “Hitching Post” would be apropos IF it is a wedding decoration .
I could be totally wrong, and often am!
Maybe our friend, @Gpaw is correct in postulating that it is some artistic rendering of initials.
I thought they ‘might’ be crosses but, they’re joined in the middle and doesn’t look like a cross at all…it’s one solid beam, imo.
I’ve been hoping to find another similar design. I’ve looked. I haven’t found one, yet!
I do have other plans that will require financial obligations that ‘might’ preclude getting ALL the work done at once. I ‘think’ IF I can do it in little bites it ‘might’ be more possible.
I’ll have to see how those folks operate…will they let me do it in bites? And, yeah, amazing website!!! A wealth of valuable information!
I hope we both get the rest we both have earned!
I have just a couple of things to button up in the loft.
BUT, it is Spaghetti Sunday…so, there’s that!
I do hope you and your Valentine have a most melodious evening, brother!

The wedding arch is a good one, if there was a date that would clench it.
Cheers

Hmmm.
I just gave it another once over under a magnifying glass and while I don’t see any initials or date or anything of that sort - the case is serialized. It’s serialized in 3 locations that match each other (as an aside, that does show the case parts are original and have not been changed out…etc.).
Now you have me wondering that motif is cataloged by serial number - a patter number.
HMMMM!
More digging!
Shakes fist at @Gpaw as IF he were the sky!

Yessir. All they do is put out fires. We start them and keep them in the boundaries. Rx burns are a lost tool since the pioneers took over. One reason there’s so many unruly wildfires all over. Theres a huge density of fuel that just been gathering for decades all over the world. And when it goes up, it’s dangerous. In fact last year there was a wildfire that cruised through the filed right across from my house, and fortunately we had burned our prairie just a few days before, so we had no worries of it getting on our property. Nothing left to burn.
Lots of great info on there about what we do
And photos of us. Lol
We’ll plan a lunch date soon! The weather is only going to get better. Although it may snow Thursday!?
Mmmm pasketti! I hope it’s good. It always is.
It could have been a wedding present and the ‘groom’ never got around to getting it engraved…
The center blank area would be perfect.
Cheers

Auto servicing done, except air pressure…damn cold out there! Oil was good, Trans fluid was low. It took a couple of pints.
That ‘right’ tail light assembly did have water in it again. And, something I noticed a while back is that “running light” on the right side quit working after I dumped the water out of it and replaced the brake light bulb the last time.
I applied dielectric grease to both sockets and put the new running light bulb in AND, I did silicone the top of that socket I’m sure is the source of the water after I cleaned the surfaces with rubbing alcohol.
IF water gets in there again, I’m going to drill weep holes in the bottom of the assembly.
I ‘may’ consider buying new sockets in the interim (all of the rear light sockets) - may I saw some that needed to have terminations applied to them. I’m hoping IF I decide to go that route that I find some plug-and-play light socket assemblies!
Spaghetti Sunday is go for launch! ,

Weep holes are always a good idea. My old coworker gave me some decent advice and drill a small hole on your muffler to drain condensation, so it won’t rust off as fast.
It is darn cold out to be doing auto maintenance.
That’s very cool, brother! And crucially important. Very cool page, my friend. You both ‘look’ chill.
Except for your tendencies to start fires everywhere you go - I think our meeting should go well!
It amazes me every fire season (West Coast) they can’t get it into their heads that you must deny the fires the food they need. They’ll be more wild fires this year. I can guaranteed it! You could set your 1890 Seth Thomas Grade 46 Size 6 Ladies Pocket Watch by it!
Puzzling and stupid!
Yes, forecasting 1 to 3 inches of snow here interspersed with an ice forecast Thursday. It kind of surprised me when I looked at AccuWeather app earlier today. I certainly wasn’t expecting that even though ‘I know’ Winter isn’t done with us just yet.
Our Last Frost is estimated to be April, 20th. (will have to smoke to that! ).
Yeah, I just had a discussion with my SIL about buttered pasta (spaghetti). I used to like and eat that stuff all the time. I don’t think I ever made any on my own, I don’t believe I ever have.
Oh, remember talking about pancakes?
I bought all the fixins’ soon after that discussion and have yet to make any! The eggs I bought for that are probably bad by now!
You , friend!,
