tommy chong plays “Gawd” coming to earth to save humanity. great movie but i could only find it by purchasing on amazon prime video. it cost like 8 bucks or something around there.

When “Castaway” came out I figured it to be a shipwreck movie. I mean that’s what comes to my mind when I hear castaway.
So I’m taking my wife and daughter south that winter to the Dominican, and the night before we’re leaving I take them to the movies, to see, of course…Castaway.

This reminds me of the time I was in a plane with my folks and we were watching Star Trek: Generations (yeah it was a long time ago) and hit some serious turbulence at the exact moment Data says "OH SHIT" when the Enterprise crash lands on a planet.
I turned to my Dad when it was done saying “Whoa! That was interactive like Dizknee Wurld!” who smiled back; I turned to my Mom and she was gripping the seat as if it was the only thing keeping her in the plane and she was Whiter than I’ve ever seen a South African woman get.

In December (26th) 2004, close-knit family Maria (Naomi Watts), Henry (Ewan McGregor) and their three sons begin their winter vacation in Thailand. But the day after Christmas, the idyllic holiday turns into an incomprehensible nightmare when a terrifying roar rises from the depths of the sea, followed by a wall of black water that devours everything in its path. Though Maria and her family face their darkest hour, unexpected displays of kindness and courage ameliorate their terror.
We just finished Three Pines, and found it worth while.
