What brand of nutrients?

Whenever I used miracle grow, I was very inexperienced, I would get nute lock. It sucked or heavy mag deficiency.

If you want cheap powder one part nutrient program check out maxibloom. That shit is gud, inexpensive and worthwhile from seedling to harvest. I use with Epsom and silica throughout. I cut the si after 4weeks in flower

I have used miracle grow on my vegetables in soil and works great… I have also mixed up a batch of miracle grow and used it as dwc nutes and that works great too…I love doing experiments when it comes to hydro.

Try it in hydro it works and I’ve done it…

LMAO brother, see the above post…up just a few.

I agree this is probably the ideal route. But it depends on goals.

The people I mention to whom I recommended miracle grow were noobs.

Their goal was not “perfect” but just to grow some nice buds to smoke and be proud of themselves. It achieved the goal.

I aim for a higher standard with my grow but miracle grow works.

For me, its about the simplicity of it. My hobby is smoking weed, not growing it :joy:

My hobby is exactly the opposite

I must admit, I enjoy the building of the grow rooms also…LOL I am just not much of a grower…hahaha My thing is the building, and smoking

And why I think I am falling in love with octopots…hahahaha

We will be excited if we actually get usable produce out of the greenhouse this year

Here’s a breakdown of MC 1part @ 6grams per gallon. And others.

I found the 1part good for veg. But a bit high in N and K for my coco during flower.

Jacks I buy local, otherwise I would be trying their new 2part. A near copy of Jacks 5-12-26.

You are the man with these nute charts. I see you in multiple threads doing this good work. I certainly appreciate it!

With my tap water in coco under LEDs I think I’ve settled on a gram or two of Epsom per gallon added to megacrop v2. Shouldn’t need extra cal unless the megacrop dose is too low. I also reuse coco and don’t really buffer it, so that’s a factor too.

I think Maxigro/bloom performs a bit better and buffers PH better but it’s not currently available in Canada plus I have the huge bag of megacrop so…

Salts vs organic, both work it’s a personal choice. No need to preach about choices others are making in their gardens.

Thanks West, I really admire people who make their own composts etc. but I wouldn’t know the NPK values if I did that.
Dyna Gro is relatively cheap and formulated for marijuana for comercial horticulture too.
They have feed charts and a cultivation guide for marijuana on their website to make feeding schedules really easy.
I have seen Miracle Gro mentioned here with high praise, yet have read many articles warning against its use.

I’ve used Miracle Grow soil before when I was very young and pretty broke, but it has been so many years that my 2 pennies may no longer be relevant. What I found with it is it’s fine until you get a bit into veg and have to add nutes. Trying to find that balance was tricky and my plants almost always ended up burned, or wouldn’t get enough nutes due to lockout (I blame the soil, but can’t say for sure). Some grow in Miracle Grow with no worries so to each their own. I did see recently they have an organic medium with peat, coco, some poultry compost, etc. I mostly used FF once I got a little older and had more to spend on a medium and never went back to Miracle Grow because I saw MUCH better results. I’m going to give Promix a go with my next run, but would be interested to see someone document a larger grow using Miracle Grow.

Most anti-Miracle Gro’ers didn’t like the Company’s association with Monsanto and other Big Agri Companies. See the direction of Commercial Cannabis, all the Companies invested in/bought up Nutrient Companies. I know multiple growers who have reported much success with MG products. When there’s $'s involved, they’ll find a way. Their analysts have seen the future!!! SS/BW…mister :honeybee: :100:

General Hydroponics 3 Part Flora Series - cost effective, easy to use, flushes clean. It’s not all I use, but those three bottles alone can crank out some delicious flower. I have too many allergies and physical limitations to do organic. I stick to liquid, even with a mask, dealing with powdered plant feeds is a little rough on my system.

So many right answers - this is just where I’ve arrived.

Thanks guys what awesome unopinionated feed back, it seems everybody likes FF and GH products. It would appear most big brand nutes are formulated to be used with a fert free medium for obvious reasons.
I just hate getting nute burn and juggling with different brands and NPK ratios.
