An Assault Rifle 7, very nice.
Iām pretty excited. My first gunā¦besides all the bb guns Iāve had, but those donāt really countā¦lol.
Just out of curiosity what makes the Henry AR7 .22 and assault rifle?
Seems like āAssault rifeā is a key word Iāve heard somewhere?
Because itās an AR7, Eugene designed this one too I believe.
The AR stands for ArmaLite Rifle, an assault rifle means it uses a medium sized projectile or propellant charge and also has fully automatic capabilities.
I was asking because the term āAssaultā had been used in an effort to deliberately confuse the general public and vilify the firearms industry as a whole.
You know I ya man but an āassaultā .22 is stretching it just a tadā¦
Yeah itās not an assault rifle lmao not even close.
pew pew lolā¦itās gonna be fun
Early PPQ, vedder light tuck. The PDP is a brick in comparison, kind of disappointed with Walther.
I was being fasitious, however thatās spelled. My homie Eugene Stoner designed a whole series of rifles with the AR designation. The AR 15 being the most famous.
This is what I carry on a daily basis. Iāve had many Smith & Wessons, Rugers, CZās, you name it. But thereās just something about a Glock that speaks to me.
I hear ya and completely understand.
Butā¦ the use of the word has been used in an effort to deliberately confuse the general public and vilify the firearms industry as a whole.
This is why ā¦ No one truly involved in the industry in any way shape or form uses the word. That is unless they are talking about their tactical assault underoosā¦
And now the AR7 survival .22 plinking rifle has been associated with an AR 15 and Eugene Stoner.
See how that works?
Move this along, do not drive the politics into this thread.
The AR7 has been associated with Eugene Stoner long before I mentioned it, because he invented itā¦ It was a joke bud, chill out and maybe take a look at the entire AR series of rifles invented by the homie Mr. Stoner.
@JustANobody I caught the satire in the comment but can understand why some would not.
There are those that assume anything with the letters AR in front of it means it must be an uberr scary assault weapon. I am not making that comment directed at anyone here it is merely a generalization of those who do not know anything about firearms and are just scared of them.
@Tappy , that is a solid choice in a survivalist/backpackerās .22
I was going to suggest it earlier but didnāt want to intrude on your plans too much. The badger is a good choice as well. I looked at them all before I settled on the savage rascal youth rifle but I am a stock maker so have plans to make a very light carbon fiber stock that will either fold or be a 2 piece stock, locking together right behind the action so the rifle can be stowed in the back pack. Another winter/spring project I need to get started on LOL
Facetious.
My mother loves that word.
Thank you for that!
My guyā¦ I am intimately familiar with all of his work.
That is why I didnāt understand your comment, as the AR 7 action utilizes a blow back design and the AR 15 uses a direct impingement system with a rotating bolt.
I guess I just saw it as two completely different platforms.
My Bad! I apologize if I offended you in any way.
Now that we have that cleared up.
Let me introduce you to the largest caliber AR In my collection.
Which has absolutely nothing to do with your homie Eugene.
Took all these shots when I was re-doing the gardenā¦
My son stepped in for a quick thumbs up shot!
Looks like I got a pic of one of the pups in the back alsoā¦
Carry on!
What did you say?
You use that rifle to guard your garden?
Did you shoot your sonās thumb off?
Oh, no you shot your dog in the back?
Enough clowning aroundā¦
You are packinā a big one there Sirā¦
I love the muzzle device, it looks effective although I would not knowā¦LOL
I saw this and wondered what everyone else thought???
ammobotā¦ thatās pretty neat LOL
