Thats awesome Heritage farms! Farming is a lot of work but plants are so peaceful and it definetly creates a sense of pride to habe a good harvest of healthy veggies. I always figured you had a canna farm. Do you make an alright living?
Id love to have a canna farm clone operation but I’m In the wrong area for permits unfortunately. The veggie gardening gig pays good but I lucked out and am running a farmers market farm on a ranch that has multiple different things going on. The growing and selling of veggies can be very profitable but it can also be a complete crap shoot. It depends alot on the market, the community and the dam weather lol.
Was a stockbroker at Chicago Mercantile Exchange and at the Chicago Board of Trade…retired at age 45…now I don’t have a 9 to 5 but still trade online…I usually go to Panama City Beach or Destin area during the winter months but not this year because of CV-19.
I’m a mechanic/machinist/welder/fabricator.
Used to have my own shop but had to close up and get a job due to a couple of poor choices and the Rona. Hoping I can get back to where I was in life asap. Once you’ve worked for yourself there’s no going back.
I used to grow for profit back in the day before legalization. Wish I could just grow craft quality bud and build motorcycles but I’m not sure it’s worth it anymore post legalization. One day.
Do we have any carpenters in here? Could use some advice on how to frame up some grow rooms. I work in metal wood definitely isn’t my thing
Political scientist by disclipline, and ventured into a tangential field. Retired now and struggling with it. I am not used to… staying still, and covid has only exacerbated that. I’m losing it… I need things to return slightly to normal.
You sir, are freaking hilarious! Ha ha! I always wondered why all cops have those huge flashlights, now I know! It’s a weapon and a lover. Lol
I’m a carpenter and co owner of a land management/ecological/prairie restoration business. Lots of outdoor time!
I sell bongs and paraphernalia, well now it’s mostly little electric things and vape juice! I got a crazy boss! He bought the shop for his sons and they are my dude’s! It’s fun, we get a little wild!
I get stoned and feed the bearded dragons bugs from around the shop, let them chill on my shoulders! We had a air hockey table but we didn’t get to much work done, mostly air hockey tournaments and discreetly rip dabs outta rigs we can’t afford! Lol
Understand needing a change brother. I did it, and more than once. It’s how I became a jack of all trades, master of nothing. I moved into industrial maintenance about 2 years ago. Not only is the money far better, the work load is far less, and sooooo much easier on the body…most of my life has been in sales, and mechanicing…lol
Hey West. I’m no framer, but have done some in the past. What are your hang ups?
can cut a board three times and it is still to short?
the clue work in metal ask me how I know
Teach me! My little brother got me going on the OTC boards…a lot of expensive lessons there…lol.
Currently only holding a few…
Apple
Air Canada ← Just bought in the other day
Amfil Technologies ← This might be my early retirement. Check out their website and investor info and let me know what you think. At 2 cents a share and all the shit they’re doing…I’ve got my fingers crossed.
maybe a giant?
That’s something I’ve always wanted to learn. I’m over running cranes, to many idiots that make me want to choke them, but not much else for a guy my age and back.
Hmmm…close to the ocean and not land-locked Africa. Need to do more “digging”…lol…get it…could have potential
I don’t trade that much nowadays because of the pandemic…2019 all my stocks were doing very good but when the pandemic hit, it dropped like a mofo but I didn’t get out I hung in there…it’s slowly going back up but still not where I want it to be…let me tell you something though, back in 2018 I bought 375 shares of Walmart stocks at $83 a share and now it’s well over $145 a share…I should’ve sold it in Nov. When it was over $150 a share i think but I didn’t…I still think its gonna go to $160 or higher…I quit giving people advice because they blame me for losing their money…it takes money to make money…and be prepared to lose money…if you can’t afford to lose 10K don’t get into it…
I don’t want direct advice, got to make your own choices. Just don’t know where to start for income investments to roll into long term. Was looking at MLPs but with the current climate in the oil industry that’s not looking so good now.
Apple…year over year gains…covid barely made their stock price flinch. Dips here and there…but a pretty steady climb.
Almost 420% gains in 5 years.
Okay, you got me, I have been an attorney for about 35 years. I have done criminal defense, prosecution and all manner of civil stuff. Kinda getting tired now.
