What if Overgrow had a seedbank?

Your spamming your own thread frech|nullxnull, with all my respects, this idea won’t fructify in this community … beer3|nullxnull

I’m not spamming anything

There’s a rule for not posting three times in a row ejem|nullxnull, remember we must reply to different people in the same post … beer|nullxnull

Possibly a good way to ruin the plant.
Most people don’t know how to breed, one example I’ve seen and heard people breeding herms on here.
Bottle necking genetics, people just joining and learning wanting to make seeds.

I’m done buying seeds anyway just my 2 cents . GOD save the plant is all I can say

You definitely don’t like my idea. I’m just being creative. I could care less about your rules george!

No. Just no. Its getting too commercial already.

It sounds like you want to start a seedbank without all the work of building your own brand.

It would probably work but I’d have to agree with a previous post about the ethics of it. Lots of legal hurdles too and more of a logistical nightmare than starting from scratch, imo

Get in touch with whoever owns OG & see what they think. Maybe they’ll be on board

I meant no harm in this thread. I would rather contribute here then any place else. I’m not asking for advice. I’m just suggesting an overgrow seed bank where free seeds are available and the occasional buck a seed or donation.
Please don’t get pissed at me. I’m just pondering here…

No intention to piss anyone, just sincere opinions, as someone said Sebring’s site is already working on that idea … beer3|nullxnull

If you’re suggesting a seed bank affiliated with OG where free seeds are available, that need would seem to already be met by Sebring’s site. He accepts donations already, and charges approximately $1/seed or less by asking for shipping, the excess of which goes to the site. Not sure why you want to reinvent the wheel…

No. See people like Sebring would be part of this not us to him.

Short answer no.

Look at the seedbanks that have been busted in the last year alone.

OG was created to spread knowledge of cultivation, not seeds. The seed trading on site in the open wasnt even something that we talked about until a couple years back… it’s hard to moderate and gets a little “loose flame in dry field” kinda slope…

Real seeds, fake seeds, drama, ripoffs, scams, raids…

It’s just not worth it to me.

I mean if you wanna easily distribute seeds amongst og members and not deal with shipping it yourself, you send it to sebring. He basically IS overgrows Seedbank. All the seeds are free, sans shipping.

It’s not about being busted. I have never been caught

What’s the deal with sebring. I know he gives a lot away but overgrow seed would be inviting him!

@LemonadeJoe can look at this and decide to open it or not.

Most of the pros and cons have been described already. For now I think that disadvantages outweigh advantages, so my vote is to stay independent on seed companies and sellers. If @corey or anyone has interesting offer, please hit me with PM or email and I’m sure we can plan some sponsorship based cooperation.
