Kush Mintz fared worse than I thought. Havent weigh it but its a solid oz Id say but 30% lost to botrytis. Fan ventilation has been increased and carbon filter and extractor on order.

A day late updating this week. The real standout amongst these for vigour, smell and appeal comes from the regular seed Mango (final plant).

The sweet somas are most underwhelming so far in terms of smell and trichome production. Trichomes are sparse and tiny.

One of the newer white oaxacans very slightly exhibiting colour (3rd one).

Nice thread, plus a good tutorial for bubble hash. I was wondering about the foam inserts sitting on top of the soil. Is it for moisture retention or to keep the fungus gnats out. Looks like it could be effective for both. Love all the pictures!

It plays the dual role as you describe but it also causes increased root production around the stem and top level of stem. It also insulates the soil as does a decomposing forest floor. Anyone into permaculture knows mother nature doesn’t like bare soil.

Thank you for looking in.

Oaxacans reddening up now, not going to be a massive haul, an oz if lucky, but its very special weed.

The flowering red oaxacan looks like its almost done. One of the other oaxacans is showing colour slightly. The mango smells like a beautiful fruit shop of sweet mangoness. Looks like a winner.

Neat setup and nice results!

How are you finding the change going without exhaust to having a scrubber and getting some air exchange? It was a major bummer seeing that budrot on Kush Mintz

I like the measurement in mL

Thank you for your kind words.

I ended up putting in a carbon filter at the back of the cupboard sucking out and to cause a little negative pressure and a fan at the front for air circulation. I got away with none with HPS lights running higher temps without no bud rot but its worth a bit more expense as these lights really do produce.
Theres only the 250w migro light and a cheap chinese 100w led in there and its smashing a 600w hps. That kush mint is a bit special so it was a bit of a shame. Crazy thing is I just got all this kit and have jars of weed but I gave up cannabis about 10 days ago, probably for good.

Im just going to grow for fun and vacuum seal it all and decide what to do with it sometime in the far, far future. Maybe they will legalise it here one day and I will have the best stocked coffee shop on the planet.

I also gave up drinking and have about 7 litres of 160 proof home distilled rum plus about 100 bottles of homemade beer. I know how crazy that sounds but it makes me laugh so much.
Its when I start weighing in gallons and centimetres you have to worry.

What’s the Mango smelling strain. I love the Mango tropical smelling strains.

The mango smelling one is mango from KC Brains. It’s a regular seed. It absolutely stinks of fresh ripe, sweet mango. All the biscotti, cookies and other stuff is just sweet nothing weed, just some old flavours remixed or relabled.
Looking at the vigour and yield of the plant it puts feminised seed to shame. It will probably mean I go back to using regular seeds. Feminised just don’t have the vigour.
Thanks for looking in.

Yeah I love those fluffy-er old Sativa Type buds. The Tropicana Cookies renamed Gelato, then this and that is tasty but not as good as those sativas. Sounds delicious. I have some Mango Haze I’d like to try at some point. I got some Mango Tropical stuff from Hawaii like 20 years ago that I’m wanting to find. It tasted like strait mango, smelt like mango, and was super super sticky. The guy cut me off a chunk with scissors in a square it was so sticky.

This is remarkably similar. I you were to smell it without seeing what it is you would be convinced its an actual mango fruit.
I love may sativas especially for artistic inspiration and creativity. I inmagine many dispensarys and Spanish socieodads dont stock them due to their bag appeal, length of growth period and their desire to produce money as opposed to uplifting weed.

I grew Passion Fruit from seedsman. I asked what their stinkiest strain was and that’s what they told me. The trichomes are strait with no heads. It definitely doesn’t have the bag speak but man that stuff smells to high heaven. I crossed it to Sour Bubble. The guy that grew it said it was exactly like the original Girl Scout cookies. He really liked it.
