I’ll take the bus and turn it into a camper…
@Cadman NICE!!! Always cool when you run into unknown places like that. Wish I could get my cars out, but still too damn cold. Good thing is, the Grand Prix is getting fuel injection this year!!! Everything is in hand. Just waiting for a warmer day to get it into my friends shop so they can tear into it and get it done.
Do you happen to know what brand the black car is, 5th pic from the bottom?
just guessing here, looks like it might be one of the chrysler 300 letter series? late 50’s early 60’s?
I don’t believe it’s a Chrysler. The emblem on the front doesn’t seem right to me, and I can’t find it on any Chrysler from the mid-1950s thru the early 1960s, when their cars became more boxy.
I recognize the emblem, but can’t put a name to it. That’s one of the fucked up parts of being old. Being a stoner may not help either.
I’ll bet we’ll know by my tomorrow. It’s 10PM here now.
1960 Chrysler Windsor 4-Door Hardtop
nice bunch of “oldies” bet Mike from TV show from Clinton Iowa, Antique (something) woudl be interested to look/buy one if interested
So I was wrong, it is a Chrysler.
@BU2B, thanks for knowing.
I was correct that an OG would be able to identify it.
My vehicle is a 2005 Honda civic…far from a classic…lol.
I’m going to be in the market for a ‘new’ car (used vehicle).
I’m looking for reliability and easily accessible parts (in case of breakdown). I’ve been told to steer clear of hyundai and Kia, Chevy and Chrysler and all this. So I’m leaning towards another honda…but Toyota and ford’s seem okay too.
If you had the option, would you go with:
- Ford Taurus
- Honda civic
- Toyota Corolla or camry
I’m not a mechanic and know diddly about squat…just looking for some input from the gearheads.
Thanks much, gang!!
I’d suggest a Mazda depending on what you want to spend I’d be inclined to get a suv all wheel drive cx5 or something along those lines.
I used to have 90s civic hatch/coupes and integra. Haven’t had one for about 15 years now. Got the itch to get another manual 4 cylinder recently. Just picked up a 09 Honda Fit and I’m loving it!!! Civics are the size of accords now. Fit is basically the updated version of 90s civic hatchbacks.
So my vote for you, is to cross off civic and get a Fit instead!!
Edit: also have had a Ford Taurus. Just go ahead and cross it off the list.
I’m trying to keep it under $15k. I don’t know anything about Mazda vehicles and don’t really know anyone who has any experience with them either.
I was looking at a fit recently too. I’m stuck in the mindframe of what’s known…everyone knows a Honda civic is a soldier. And you know what they say about a toyota…as good as a Honda…lol. The Ford was suggested because easy access to parts…the one I was looking at is a decommissioned police car…lots of them around these days.
Thanks for the tips guys. Not sure when I’m gonna pull the trigger on it…but a new vehicle is in my future
Go Subaru, be happy. They are expensive but they hold up well. I used to have Hondas. I’ll never go back to fwd after driving Subarus.
A bit of ‘80’s “Muscle” from Turbo Buick Wednesday on Woodward during Dream Cruise week last Wednesday. We had over 60 Turbo Regals make their way thru during the event.
Canadian cars are not good choices…72 chevelle,396 swap,a project I regretted but kept me busy for 2 winters

Thank you,I bought it from a guy who owns a ford dealership,he has 6 shelbys and a 69 boss 429
have always driven “old” cars 15-29 yrs - it’s because of the cost – rather spend money on "seeds ???
I never knew…
