I grew up with bicycles I didn’t even have the nerve to ask for a dirt bike
It’s a different kind of fun, but same thrill. I only rode that bike (in the picture) for 2 years or so, EVERY weekend with few exceptions. Having a daughter significantly reduced my appetite for risk and danger, not to mention I have a horked rotator cuff now.
Hilariously, I’ve been thinking about selling it to get a decent bicycle.
Is “Stumpy” a style of bike or what you call your bike?
The bike is a Specialized Stumpjumper, nerds call it a Stumpy I guess. Its a full suspension mountain bike and I am addicted to riding it. Great fun for an old bastard like myself. Luckily I have miles of trail on the hillside behind my house. Mine has a 36” fox fork on the front, some kind of badass fox shock for the rear, 29” tires, 200mm rotors with 4 piston hydraulic brakes. Like my lady likes to say, I’m Loreal, I’m worth it.
