That’s a mighty looking light bro. Illuminate the county with that :sunglasses:Looking at the connectors I’ll be awaiting how you’re wiring ends up. Because I feel the position a touch weird?? And yeah MIA but definitely still IA :ok_hand:

I might try get this next light built stocked in the hydro shop with a banner above it for advertising. Finally found a design that works and is original :sunglasses: definitely keep me posted on your light builds and general growery. I wanna see how the eb strip fixture serves you

sounds good man its a great build, ive thought about something like that a few times. how stable does it keep temps? i seen a guy use a water cooled led build and looks awesome.

yeah will do bro i just cant wait to see what it produces

Running the 225w over my purple Badlands temps on the bar stay around 24c and maintain that to within a couple of degrees. Ambient temps from it are next to nothing. Plus extraction is built in. So you’re light shifts your smells and your fan keeps your light cool. And it’s all in one so no messing about moving multiple things. Just crank the ratchets and away.
Myself and @Baine101 are working on a PWM controller that uses the temps to dim the light accordingly. May be a way off yet but the future is bright. Or dim. Depends on the weather :sunglasses:

and whats the temps like versus not using the air cooled version? im worried about temps in my tents when summer hits. 4 tents running about 1400 watts of light, bound to be hot

I’ll figure out what these can be ran at safely passive whilst maintaining decent heat. In summer mid powered strips ran high still produced a bit of heat but nothing unmanageable. Although the highest wattage I ran was 480w in a 2x4 space did end up with some foxtails but the smoke was good

Ps the one I’m building will be active cooled. That’s the idea with the cob cool tube. You need extraction anyway. These definitely aren’t aimed at commercial growers. But if you got an attic or a shed and wanna keep a low profile it’s the way to go 100

what sort of heat was the 480watt throwing?

im hoping once i have all the tents venting out of the room things will be fine but only time will tell lol

In the 2x4ft on a hot day could reach 29c. The guy that has it now put it in a slightly smaller space and managed 31c on occasion

damn thats pretty hot alright

Day 20. Responded well to the res change. Water Temps are back to 23c and stable. Will give it another day and check pH before adjusting

I was looking into that a few weeks ago but it all ended up doing my head in. It’s a good idea though and if someone produces an all in one box solution i think it would sell. I’d buy one

It’s not where my knowledge lies. My knowledge lies with the other components. But if any duo can get it done it should be us. I look forward to selling you one bro :sunglasses:

It’s that missing piece that will let us get the maximum benefit from our led setups eh bro. Be great during the summer in most counties including ours :sunglasses:

Day 22.
Taking kinda well to a res change. Gonna add some PK and calmag once I hit the hydro shop tomorrow

Day 23
Added 200ml Canna PK 13/14 to my res. (Cos it’s cheap) no calmag though. Cos I’m cheap

EC 16 on the nutrient wand. pH was at 6.8 when checking today after the other days res change. So adjusted down to 5.8 with citric acid
