Thanks man I appreciate all the tips and tricks!
I’m gonna fiddle around with what to stack the dehumidifier on, what kind of hose will work and what I’m draining into.
I’m fine having like two 3-5 gallon pails I just swap out every 2-3 days.
The old unit is a 70 pint per day and only really fills every 3-4 days(might be sooner with 15gallon pots)
I’m upstairs currently but this unit will work in cool temps too, good catch not many people pay attention to that!
‘Generally speaking’ the way my tent/room works is when humidity goes above what I’ve set the dehumidifier kicks in and manages it, if it’s extreme and can’t keep up the tent temps rise from the dehumidifier and activate my exhaust fans bringing in fresh dry air from the house and venting hot humid air outside the house.
Also when day goes to night my temp controller drops the temps 8-13 degrees Celsius(seasonally dependent). Which also helps vent out a large amount of the humidity they create at night
I am going to say $30. “Voucher value $25-$50 (We will choose this randomly)” Thanks for the offer man but I have no use for any more lights. I already have a bunch in the closet
I was talking in pm with the other winner and he told me 30% last night. So I posted without checking and just ran over now to double check.
Your absolutely right $30…
I’m gonna edit the last two posts but it’s here for the taking
By the looks of the hose height, it appears you’ve elevated the dehumidifier - is that right?
Something else to consider is if you’re pulling air from the same room your collection bucket is, you may want to put a lid on that bucket to contain the humidity it’ll put off as it gets more full.
Looks good though, @WubbaLubbaDubDub. Yeah, some black Gorilla Tape should do the trick around the hose/tent. It usually does a good job at sticking to fabric.
Good call on the lid that should help keep humidity down! I’ll drill a hole so the hose can sit inside the bucket.
Yes I raised it up on a 5 gallon pail last night, pretty sturdy but I’m gonna cut some plywood this morning, and no leaks from normal garden hose!
Edit- those plastic spikes on the aquarium lid are also on my grow tents, my darn cat got up one day and jumped down on to my aquarium and broke the lid, had to buy a new one lol.
Just a normal garden hose connection(female)
I’ll edit this post with a picture for you.
@JoeCrowe its 2.5 years old, it spent the summer outside and recently got its ‘forever’ pot being fed my aquarium waste.
I have just been vegging it trying to gain some size. Maybe next year I’ll try sending it through flower.
I read they don’t produce fruit until 4 years old on the farms, and they’ve way bigger than mine
Oh wow l! well it was in under sized containers for the longest time and definitely wasn’t getting a ton of light the first year of its life(south window,Sunblaster led)
Mine is also just off a top from the grocery store
Eventually it’ll do it’s thing! They are a relative of the air plant family. The pineapple that came off the plant there was the size of 2 softballs. After that, the plant will put off side shoots you can start an entire pineapple plantation off one plant heh heh. Also you can break the top off the pineapple it grows and give it to someone to grow their own. The tops you grow yourself are way healthier than the ones you scrounge from the store, and they bloom faster. Oh my! You can tell I grew lots of pineapples. I documented the entire blooming process, it was fascinating. Almost 6 months to produce a ripe fruit.
