Thank you Doug. You know it’s the same for you too, my brother. If ever you need something, you can count on me to get it done. Your will, my hands
I 100% know that bud. You are the best. I still keep the keychain you made me on my truck/house keys. Odd to say this to a man but I think about you every day brother
I was able to adjust it Better and adjusted 1 plant height.
Thanks again that was very useful.
I’m sitting at 17 center 19 corners .
I appreciate that and I bet other people in the future will find it helpful.
@WubbaLubbaDubDub
I don’t think it’s odd that you say that at all, I feel the same way. Oftentimes I find myself wondering how everyone is doing in their daily lives, outside of their grows. It might sound weird, lol, but I guess I just have a big heart.
To me, the thing I love most about OG, is the feeling that we are all one big family. Members taking the time to come on here to offer advice, as well as share their grows and life experiences, is something I truly value and appreciate. More than these words could ever convey…
Well and it worked out well, I dragged my butt on sending something to Doug and now he gets some of his PPP offspring back when his package arrives.
Mango Thai ppp would be really nice I can’t wait to see how many seeds you get out of her
I like the crowd your thread attracts @WubbaLubbaDubDub, you OG’s warm my heart!
Ya man I love the visitors I get over here.
Friendly helpful people!
So it turns out the fem cheese has way larger buds but I didn’t hit it up as deeply as the sour diesel I only wound up with 81 good fem cheese X PPP seeds and 159 fem sour diesel X PPP
That’s still enough to relax an auditorium full of people once grown out!
Now you literally have the fruits of your labors in your grasp.
Looks good on ya!
Now, you must throw some down and see what you have.
Save at least half the beans & pheno hunt!
Cheers
G
Been awhile since I updated. Cheese and sour diesel are in bins curing.
Switched my inside tent to flower last night, today is day 1 of flower.
I’m gonna throw in a net and remove the yo-yo’s this week
Slowly worked the humidity down to 40% at the highest
Oh I started two of the autos that got made on accident at my place here. Two Acid Kush auto X Sunset Vibes auto, one will be started in this 1 gallon pot and moved to a 4 gallon pot very soon.
The other is just gonna be a fun bonsai project with the yield not being important
Looks like the start of a great grow. Gonna be a full tent of bud by the looks of things.
I don’t think I measured the area very well when I decided 15 gallon pots.
It’s gonna be super tight to work this run but I’ll have to make it work.
Emptying the dehumidifier might become impossible by the end of the grow🤕
If it goes smoothly I might stay this way in the future,if not I might be doing 10 gallons next run
Thing won’t auto drain into a bucket outside the grow area?
It has the connection, I tried hooking it up years ago in my old fish room.
It just leaked like a sieve out the back.
I might have to experiment with different connections and hoses now that your reminded me thank you very much.
I completely forgot about that feature!
I had just hooked mine up again last night, so it was super fresh in my mind! I was reminded about it by reading someone else’s thread lol!! Now that’s some hilarious shit.
I specifically remember using a black foodsafe garden hose with standard brass connections on the dehumidifier years ago. Probably just need one of those plastic corrugated lines instead
I’ve used a standard garden hose on all of my dehumidifiers (I have 3) - and it works fine. Just be sure that your hose washer is in good shape. If possible, test your hose on an outside spigot to see if it leaks at the female end (requires a nozzle or adapter with an “off” setting on the male end).
If you plan to drain into another bucket or tote outside of your grow room, you should try to get the dehumidifier off the ground; perhaps on a piece of plywood sitting on top of a 5 gallon bucket. This will give you much better drainage options (and velocity). I’m lucky enough to have a drain in my basement, so I can just run the hose to the drain and never have to worry about it.
5 gallon pail might be a bit tippy with this bigger unit but I could see it working with some plywood like you said, good idea!
What you think of a milk crate? Too low?
Weird thing is the hose didn’t leak when used outside, I cut the length and put the ends on myself.
It might have been the style of female connection I was using, the fittings and gaskets we’re all new
Edit- I’m definitely gonna try again with different hoses now!
It’ll definitely work. You’ll need to factor in the container that you’re using to collect the water and how you want to drain into that container. The outlet on the dehumidifier needs to be above the inlet into your collection container.
BTW - if this is being set up in your basement, and if your basement runs very cool in the winter (like mine - on purpose), you’ll need to be sure your dehumidifier has a “low temperature” capability. Low temps probably won’t be an issue when the lights are on, but with them off - which is when you really need to be concerned about the humidity - temps might prevent a dehumidifier from working properly if it doesn’t have the low temp capability.
