I’m already lined up
I meant for Zeps f2’s
oh, whoopsie. Nevermind then!
I’m all into strong narcotic type shit to put a sleep on
I know what you mean. I start the day with heavy indicas, usually. It keeps me ‘on level’ haha
I smoke during the day its a do nothing day hence I dont normally consume during daylight hours
Yeah I grew two batches of sinsemilla with my f1 guava B and F clones. The quality of the bud produced by these cuts is actually surprisingly similar when grown seeded or sinsemilla. Potency was the same, and it wasn’t noticeably harsher. The sinsemilla had more complex flavor, and a slightly stronger smell. The bud density of the sinsemilla is aboslutely insane, so by comparison, the seeded buds just feel normal, and still pretty dense.
With these f2s on the other hand, I think it has made a difference because of the very late harvest to let all the seeds ripen fully, and because they are more heavily seeded than either of the two previous seeded batches. I am noticing the flavor of the seed membrane when I smoke it, so being heavily seeded, the quality is slightly impacted.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the outdoor guava B cut seeded with pure lebanese is definitely lower quality than the indoor batches. It was more heavily seeded, and we had a rather unforgiving outdoor season here as a result of the heat and nearby wildfires.
@zephyr nice looking photos. I enjoy seeing them. Not enough people take quality photos of their buds full of seeds
Thanks cadman! I always have a great time taking photos of buds, glad to hear you’re enjoying them.
Bonged a bowl of the F1 today. Very pleased. Grew out an F F2 as well. Couldn’t tell you the difference past F2 was leggier.
Got a sinse F1 coming hard into flower. Gonna try her for my first bubble run. Did a couple practice rounds with Dry Ice and trim in Nov.
Does the Guava strain your growing actually taste like Guava/fruity drink flavor? Cause that sounds very yummy actually.
Not to my nose but my grow conditions don’t seem to foster high terp production.
For most of them, the flavor is more like a mild version of chem 4 with additional notes of fruit or sweetness.
The f1 “F” cut has a light toasty smell with black pepper and bitter hints of kush. its f2s are similar, some have more black pepper and hints of gas.
The f1 “B” cut has a classic chem smell with very fruity floral smells that resemble the perfume like floral notes in the smell of a guava. A real guava is actually quite funky and pungent as well, but this only has floral notes.
Of the f2’s, the one I wrote a smoke report for is more fruity than the B clone, the other is very fruity but also very strange.
@AllOra I think you’ll find some fruitier ones (and potentially a lot of purple phenos) when you grow out the B f2’s.
that’s awesome, the F would make killer bubble or dry sift hash. I just made a batch of old school everclear honey oil with a mix of the F and its f2s.
This is half the batch. this half should have a little more essential oil content and wax, and if I did it right, the other half should pretty much be pure reconstituted trichomes. This is made with frozen freshly harvested bud and trim.
I love the batches that come out orange / amber like this.
Yum. +6=10
Guava F everclear honey oil hash
This is the other half of the batch shown in yesterday’s post. Even higher quality.
I’m going to need to set up the enail for this stuff.
germination test results
The results of this experiment may be of no use because of some unplanned variables. I may have overcooked these with too much h2o2. Once they dried after soaking, the hulls looked bleached even on the healthy seedlings. Possibly as a result of this, all of them needed help removing membranes and hulls.
4x guava f f2 - 4 / 4
3x guava b f2 - 0 / 3
These all looked like good seeds, but after soaking, two of the seeds actually looked green and unripe. They were planted like that and never sprouted. it could be the seeds were just too immature, or this may have been the result of too much peroxide.
The third sprouted, but grew in a loop. I have just removed its membrane to open the cotyledons and replanted. It might still pull through. it would be worth keeping as a female for meds, but it has required so much assistance I would not breed with this one.
1x 2017 pink lebanese - 0 / 1 This was a test to see if a seed that had been smoked in a bowl of flower was still viable. It produced a tap root but didn’t make it any further than that. Not sure if this was impacted by the extra peroxide.
2x 2020 purple lebanese - 1 / 2
2x guava f2 B#1 ix - 0 / 2 Too fresh. There may have been some bacterial or fungal bloom around the seeds, or it may have just been waterlogged remnants of the membranes that form between the seed and calyx. I overcompensated and added too much peroxide.
You might have sent me some of the tki?
I was just going through my seeds received from other growers. I have two from you which came together, one is labeled schwaggy, the other is labeled stray.
I know the “schwaggy” is that green crack / chocolate thai.
Would the “stray” be the triangle kush iraqi?
The Schwaggy Seeds I think I sent you are his GC x Chocolate Trip F4. You said you were looking for a solid Green Crack cross because you miss the GC you used to hold.
Although I did send you F2 of the TK x Iraqi, it’s from Bodhi’s male selection, not Stray’s. The Stray F2 I sent you is F2 of Strayfox’s Dragonslayer x Blue Cali-Yo, which is:
Dragonslayer (bodhi cut of pipeline hp x sterling skunk rks?)
x
Blue Cali-Yo (bodhi’s Cali-Yo [AE77 Cali-O x Yo Mama] x bodhi’s Blueberry Temple [DJ’s Blueberry x Temple])
Hope they all bring you many happy returns.
Thanks again nube! I’m really looking forward to that green crack x chocolate trip. I think growing a green crack hybrid will be pretty fun and nostalgic for me. Green Crack was the primary commercial cut in humboldt when I was in high school, we smoked a lot of that bud. I think the first turkey bag I ever saw was the green crack. I grew that cut in one of my first grows, it was amazing, but I couldn’t keep it because I hadn’t started growing indoor yet.
One of the other old humboldt lines I used to grow was surf’s up, which was a thai x canadian 50 day indica hybrid. It will be fun to grow some more thai hybrids.
I had forgotten about that dragonslayer x blue cali-yo, I’m excited to try that one as well. I haven’t grown a citrusy strain in a long time.
