Nice grow! Just about to pop some generously gifted Orange Grove. and maybe some Hindu Kush. Enjoy!

@JustSumTomatoes , it’s interesting, the orange smell was dominant in both from veg up to mid flower, then it shifted to the gg4. When you stem rub, or squish a sugar leaf then the smell comes out just not as much, one pheno has it more than the other, other has funk berry sour. Trust me I’m plenty excited to start your strain, and find that black liquerish or however it’s spelt. Curious to see how the kush’s come out in them. I’m hooked on Kush
@Draig I definitely recommend growing both! Hindu is mesmerizing, the smells, structure, and the historical aspect. Do it!!!

I loved growing my OG x GG4 out. And that’s what I experienced as well. The citrus smell kinda gives way to some thick funkiness.
I’m liking the high I get from it as well. That funk comes out when smoking strong.

Well. I got bad news. I have to shut the grow down. This stuff is so stinky it’s stinking up the neighborhood and chatter around the neighborhood made it to my girlfriend. We got a cop down the road, and everyone here knows everyone. They think they’re guna start looking for it so for the sake of my family I’m pulling the plug. I don’t even want to dry this shit right now in the cab so it’s possible to just do a quick trim and throw them all in the freezer? Then later down the road I can dry and cure it? This sucks, tomorrow is start of week 8 so the OGxGG4 ain’t ready yet. Hindu is good.

Yes I do have a charcoal filter. So either something ain’t sealed up right or the filter isn’t working. It’s a couple years old. But I’d rather play safe for now

If you freeze it I don’t think you can dry and cure it later ( taste like hay maybe )
But you can freeze it now buy bubble bags and make ice hash later
@JoeCrowe could help you with this : )

Very bad news. Maybe you have a friend or someone you know who would let you take it to their place to hang dry.
High humidity will shorten filter life

Yes. I totally understand. But that sucks out loud! I’m glad our family property is far enough from neighbors that the only ones that smelled that OG x GG#4 was my brothers families.
I believe my words were
The OGxGG4 from (@Floyd) is starting to show some baby buds. This thing stinketh!
It only got worse (better lol) from there. By the time I cut the thing, My brother could smell it in his front yard (~1,000’ away) when the wind was right.

Well shit, sorry to hear that. At the same time now I’m really interested in trying that OG x GG4 since it is stinking the whole block up up wow. Must be some pretty potent powerful stuff!

I’m impressed with the strain @JustSumTomatoes . It was an easy keeper and that thing had some of the biggest and tightest buds I’ve ever grown as well. I did have to tie up the branches. My girl’s stems were too weak to hold the mass up.

I wouldn’t recommend freezing then drying it later. Freezing and making into hash and live rosin for sure!

I can’t remember if I sent you some of the OG x GG4 seeds. I hope so.
I sent out almost all that I had and so far those who have grown them out have been very happy with the results.

Ya it’s crazy for sure. I feel fine about it but the wifey is on edge so I gota make her happy. I do got a couple people I’m going to see if they can finish them out, or I could hide them in the woods nearby lol @JustSumTomatoes i got plenty of seeds I made! I would be happy to send you some. That goes for anyone reading. Plenty of Hindu Kush seeds too! @MoBilly thats funny!! It doth stinketh for sure!!! I personally love how it stinks the neighborhood up I think it’s fun!

You did, and thanks again! Glad to see those Orange Grove seeds going around and everyone making great crosses with it. So far it has proven well as a breeder.

I totally get it haha, if my girl is happy then I’m happy. I’d be a bit paranoid too if the “skunk” in my yard was the talk of the neighborhood. Better safe than sorry, but it does suck you’re so close to harvest. I’m taking it it’s still kinda warm where you are at cause it’s freezing could here and not many people are cruising around outside. Way too cold here to stash any plants in the woods right now either, once it warms up in June, game on lol. And thank you for the generous offer!

@JustSumTomatoes dude! It’s 70s at day and 60s at night with 90% humidity!!!

I kept one plant, to finish all the way out, that way I’ll have an early pick and a finish pick for comparison. Hopefully a few more weeks in the humid air she won’t catch mold! She won’t get much sun in the deep woods but as long as she ripens it’s all I care about. We will see!

So the drying situation is this. Drying in the cab. Got a dehydrator in it set to 94(lowest heat setting). Using dehydrator cuz the dehumidifier I have is small and didn’t do shit. Buds hanging with a fan blowing right on them(buds are NOT IN the dehydrator. Hanging above, just using it to dry the humid air). Took all night for humidity to drop and it only got 58%. So inside temp is 83 with humidity 58%. That’s with the intake fan not blowing. If I turn it on it will suck in the humid air so there’s no fresh air coming in. I’m pissed cuz it’s DECEMBER!! It should be in the 50s and 40s by now making this dry go easier!! But the wifey won’t let me dry in the house with this stanky stuff lolololol. Think that will dry good with those settings??

Man, I don’t know… I’d definitely keep a lot of air flow around them and I’d separate the buds as best as possibly I could. That high of a humidity will make it dry slower and that warmth will ad to the situation.
Then again, I’m just now getting, what I would call, a good cure on mine.
The tightness or airiness of the buds is a factor too. Light airy buds aren’t as much of a problem with rot or mold as tight, heavy buds.

58 rh is fine. Ideal temp would be in the 60s. A fan moving some air around would help. You dont want the fan blowing directly on your buds.
